Chapter 365: Master Sheng’s Difference in Treatment

Qin Yufan and Jian Yiling met at the Yu Residence.

It was obvious that Qin Yufan dressed up before arriving at the Yu Residence. Her make-up was delicate and her medium length hair was just above her shoulders. The way she dressed made her look competent and elegant.

On the other hand, Jian Yiling’s hair was still in a ponytail. She wore trousers and a long-sleeved shirt. She dressed in monotonous colors as well.

Qin Yufan noticed that Jian Yiling had a cartoon lunchbox in her hands.

She couldn’t help but think to herself: How childish and immature. She’s fifteen and she’s still using a cartoon lunchbox?

On the other hand, Yu Xi was getting a headache. Initially, he invited Jian Yiling to discuss the details regarding their next match.

However, Qin Yufan had turned up without being invited. Despite this, he couldn’t ask her to just leave as she was from the Qin family! He couldn’t afford to offend her!

As Qin Yufan was here, he could no longer talk to God Ling about the details of the tournament.

Yu Xi also knew that Qin Yufan was most likely here for Master Sheng.

However, Master Sheng was not interested in seeing Qin Yufan. He didn’t dare to wake up Master Sheng who was taking a nap just for Qin Yufan.

Qin Yufan was in no hurry to leave. Instead, she patiently said to Yu Xi: “I’ve prepared a gift for Master Sheng. Can you call him down for me?”

“Miss Qin, thank you for your kindness. However, Master Sheng does not lack anything. He typically won’t accept gifts from others,” Yu Xi replied politely.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

This was the truth. Typically, Master Sheng would not accept gifts from anyone at all. He especially did not accept gifts from women.

Upon hearing Yu Xi’s words, Jian Yiling hesitated for a moment. Then, she silently put the lunch box in her hand back into her small bag.

Qin Yufan continued to tell Yu Xi: “My gift is very special. I believe that Master Sheng will definitely like it.”

Qin Yufan spoke with certainty.

If she hadn’t been preparing in advance, she wouldn’t have rushed over to give him the gift.

Yu Xi had an awkward expression on his face as he said: “Miss Qin, I really can’t do anything about this. You know Master Sheng’s temper.”

“I understand,” Qin Yufan replied. Qin Yufan knew that it was useless for her to talk with Yu Xi, “Then how about this, you let me wait for him here and when he comes downstairs, I will talk to him personally.”

Yu Xi thought to himself that he couldn’t say no. However, if he allowed Qin Yufan to sit in his living room, where would he talk to God Ling about the details of the upcoming tournament?

Yu Xi looked in Jian Yiling’s direction. However, he saw that Jian Yiling had already gotten up and was ready to leave.

“Where are you going?” A sudden magnetic voice called out to Jian Yiling.

Jian Yiling looked up and saw Zhai Yunsheng. Zhai Yunsheng had just woken up.

He wore black trousers and a white blouse. His blouse was buttoned up poorly for some reason and it revealed skin on his chest.

With his hands in his trouser pockets, Zhai Yunsheng walked down the stairs, step by step.

He narrowed his eyes. One could not tell whether his eyes were narrowed because he had just woken up from a nap or because he was in a bad mood.

“Master Sheng,” Qin Yufan said. She immediately got up and looked at him with a burning gaze.

Zhai Yunsheng walked past Qin Yufan and walked straight up to Jian Yiling. He extended his hand as if he was asking her for something.

“What?” Jian Yiling asked.

Her voice was soft and sweet. However, it was obvious that she was quite confused.

“Lunch box,” Zhai Yunsheng replied. He had just seen that Jian Yiling had brought a lunch box in with her.

It was the same as the one he kept in the draw of his bedside table. That lunch box belonged to her as well.

Jian Yiling took out the lunch box again.

Zhai Yunsheng immediately took the lunch box from Jian Yiling’s hands.

“Remember to return the lunch box to me,” Jian Yiling said. She assumed that the first lunch box that she had given to him had already been thrown in the trash.

As Yu Xi watched the scene in front of him, his face hurt a little. He had just told Qin Yufan that Master Sheng did not accept gifts. However, soon after, Master Sheng took the initiative to ask God Ling for something.
