Chapter 457 - Pay the Price for Breaking Your Promise

In the past three years, Zhai Yunsheng had cut off all contact with Jian Yiling. He hadn’t gathered any information about her.

It wasn’t because he didn’t want to. Rather, it was because he couldn’t.

She brought him the medicine because it was convenient for her to do so. Usually, the medicine was delivered by someone else.

She hadn’t come to the capital because of Qin Chuan.

Jian Yiling was not lying. Her eyes were as clean as ever.

“You broke your promise.”

“You will need to pay the price for breaking your promise.”

“I know,” Jian Yiling replied. She was willing to accept the price of her broken promise.

“The price will be great,” Zhai Yunsheng said. His gaze burned.

“Okay.”

She had been the one who had broken her promise. It made sense that she had to pay the price for her actions.

After hearing Jian Yiling’s reply, Zhai Yunsheng’s eyes appeared to be deep in thought.

She did not know what the price he wanted was.

Yu Xi watched the conversation between Jian Yiling and Zhai Yunsheng. He hadn’t understood their conversation at all.

Broken promise? Pay the price? Was there an agreement between the two of them?

What had happened between God Ling and Master Sheng? Why didn’t he know about this?

Jian Yiling continued to eat whilst Yu Xi and Zhai Yunsheng accompanied her.

However, someone revealed that Yu Xi was Master Sheng’s best friend. They had known each other for many years and were very close.

Upon hearing this, everyone seemed to be able to understand the situation a little better.

However, everyone was still curious about the young girl that sat beside them.

She was a girl who had received special treatment from both Young Master Qin and Master Sheng.

As the banquet was coming to an end, Yu Xi suddenly received an urgent phone call. He needed to go back to deal with a situation in his company.

They couldn’t help but express in surprise:
