Jian Yiling turned around her head and looked at Huo Yu. It appeared as though she didn’t recognize him.

“What, don’t tell me you don’t remember me?!” Huo Yu cried out. He immediately showed a wounded expression on his face. “I’m so hurt... My heart is in pain... It’s been greatly traumatized~”

Jian Yiling didn’t recognize the man in front of her. However, from these words, Jian Yiling was able to determine his identity.

He was Huo Yu.

He was Jian Yuncheng’s good friend. He was also a partner of the Huan You Technology Corporation. The company had created the game ‘Zerg Invasion’. As a partner of the corporation, Huo Yu was considered to be a computer prodigy.

“Huo Yu,” Jian Yiling greeted.

“Go to the lecture hall first,” Jian Yiling said to the middle-aged man.

Huo Yu blinked when he heard this. It seemed as though the middle-aged man was incredibly respectful towards Jian Yiling. It was the kind of respect that an elder wouldn’t have typically had towards a person who was much younger than them.

After the middle-aged man left, Huo Yu continued to speak to Jian Yiling. He was incredibly talkative and chatty: “Yiling~ What have you been doing lately? Yuncheng keeps asking me about you every now and then! Can’t he just call you to get a clear answer? Why does he need me to do such a thing? It’s such a roundabout way of asking! Is it because you also think that he’s super annoying and hard to work with? If that’s the reason, I understand why you don’t want to talk to him!”

Without giving Jian Yiling a chance to answer, Huo Yu continued to speak: “Oh right, did you come to the academic conference to listen to the speeches and presentations? If so, why are you backstage? You should be listening to the lectures and presentations in the lecture hall!”

“I’m not here to listen to the speeches and presentations. I’m here to talk to someone about something,” Jian Yiling explained.

As their hospital planned to recruit people, she stopped by to talk to the recruiter. As she was in Beijing, she gave him a bit of advice on what to pay attention to.

Huo Yu paused for a moment. He was rather puzzled. Why did Yiling need to come to such an academic conference to talk about things?

He had heard that many people didn’t manage to attend this conference even if they wanted to.

Each member had great skills in a certain field.
