Chapter 611: Is She Avoiding Me?

Zhai Yunsheng did not know what Jian Yiling was thinking.

After Jian Yiling entered her room last night, he spent his entire night in the study room.

He didn’t sleep for the entire night.

The next morning, when he heard the sound of Jian Yiling’s door opening, he came out of the study room.

“Good morning.”

Zhai Yunsheng’s voice had a hint of tiredness and nervousness.

“Morning,” Jian Yiling replied. However, she did not dare to look Zhai Yunsheng in the eyes.

Then, she quickly scampered away after she greeted him.

She didn’t even eat breakfast. Instead, she immediately left the apartment.

For the first time in almost a month, Zhai Yunsheng did not eat breakfast that was prepared by Jian Yiling. She had left before she even made breakfast.

And thus, Zhai Yunsheng’s housekeeper brought him breakfast.

Although breakfast was decent, it still did not taste as good as Jian Yiling’s cooking.

Later in the day, Zhai Yunsheng discovered that Jian Yiling was avoiding him.

Although the two of them did not usually hang out during the day, it was still obvious that Jian Yiling was avoiding him today.

She avoided him in the morning. She had left the apartment without even eating breakfast.

Then, later at night, she had moved her luggage and belongings into Jian Yichen’s apartment.

Upon discovering this, Zhai Yunsheng gritted his teeth. However, he still knocked on Jian Yichen’s door.

Jian Yichen smilingly opened the door for Zhai Yunsheng.

“Oh! What a rare guest! I’m surprised that you have time to come over to my place today!” Jian Yichen smiled cheekily. In Zhai Yunsheng’s eyes, Jian Yichen’s smile was infuriating as ever.

If it weren’t for the fact that he was Jian Yiling’s brother, Zhai Yunsheng would have already pushed Jian Yichen’s face into the floorboards.

However, Zhai Yunsheng decided to ignore Jian Yichen. He didn’t want to speak to this androgynous person. Yet, he right now, he had to get past Jian Yichen to get into the apartment:

“I’m here to look for Yiling.”

“Yiling is currently cooking! Don’t worry, she said that she will give you your food in a while,” Jian Yichen continued with a complacent voice. His voice was taunting Zhai Yunsheng.

Typically, Jian Yichen went over to freeload. Back then, Zhai Yunsheng would throw him the dirtiest of looks.

However, he was thick-skinned. He did not care about Zhai Yunsheng at all.

How the times have changed. It seemed as though the fortunes could rise and fall.

Zhai Yunsheng quickly stepped forward.

Jian Yichen reached out to stop him.

However, he did not expect Zhai Yunsheng’s speed.

In fact, Zhai Yunsheng’s actions were fast and direct. He was not fooling around at all.

Jian Yichen had only encountered this situation with his older brother.

What was this situation?

Why was Zhai Yunsheng so agile and speedy?

How was this possible? Didn’t he have a heart disease? Wasn’t he the type that could die at any moment?

If that was the case, shouldn’t his body be sickly?

Jian Yichen stared at Zhai Yunsheng for a while. After a moment, he closed the door of his apartment.

Then, he followed Zhai Yunsheng into the kitchen. He did not want to give his sister and Zhai Yunsheng time to spend alone.

“Yiling~ What soup are we having today?” Jian Yichen asked as he moved closer to Jian Yiling. He happily asked about dinner.

“Creamy white crucian carp soup.”

Fish soup was especially good for people with broken bones.

Thus, it was evident that Jian Yiling had specially prepared the creamy white crucian carp soup for Jian Yichen. He was still recovering from his injuries.

“I love you so much~ Your cooking is the best! It’s delicious~”

Jian Yichen continued to flatter Jian Yiling.

It was obvious that Jian Yichen was a massive fan of Jian Yiling’s cooking.

Zhai Yunsheng stood by the side. He could not add anything to the conversation.

As Jian Yiling continued to cook, she glanced at Zhai Yunsheng from the corner of her eye.

However, when she saw that Zhai Yunsheng was watching her, she quickly retracted her gaze.

Zhai Yunsheng caught onto Jian Yiling’s gaze.

Now, he was even more certain that Jian Yiling was avoiding him.

Did his words last night scare her?
