“Making pork heart stew.”

“Hmm, it was just done in passing.” The focus wasn’t on the pig heart stew. Instead, the focus was on the pig heart.

Jian Yiling stopped what she was doing and went to wash her hands.

Upon seeing this, Zhai Yunsheng put his hands into his trouser pockets. Then, he leaned against the kitchen counter as he watched Jian Yiling run up and down the stairs.

Jian Yiling washed her hands very carefully and used a disinfectant to remove any bacteria on her hands.

Then, she ran up to Zhai Yunsheng.

The corners of Zhai Yunsheng’s mouth were raised as he looked at her with a light smile on his face.

Jian Yiling’s next actions made his eyes widen and his body stiffen. He was at a complete loss of what to do.

“What are you doing?”

Jian Yiling was unbuckling Zhai Yunsheng’s belt.

“Taking off your pants,” Jian Yiling replied.

Zhai Yunsheng hurriedly held onto his belt. He did not allow Jian Yiling to unbuckle it.

“Why are you taking off my pants?” Zhai Yunsheng asked as he desperately held onto his belt. It was as though his life depended on it.

“I’m giving you a checkup.”

Jian Yiling’s soft white hands were grasped on Zhai Yunsheng’s belt. She was somewhat unhappy at his hands’ obstruction.

“Why do you want to do a checkup?” Zhai Yunsheng asked. He leaned back even further. He was almost about to sit on the kitchen counter.

“Qin Yufan said that you may have a problem. She said that you might be unable to reproduce offspring. Therefore, I wanted to check to make sure.”

What ideas was this woman instilling in Jian Yiling’s mind!?

“No need to check!” Zhai Yunsheng squeezed these words out from between his teeth.

“Why?” Jian Yiling asked as she looked up at Zhai Yunsheng with bright and shining eyes.

Zhai Yunsheng turned his head away. He did not dare to look at Jian Yiling’s eyes and expression.

“There’s no problem with me. Therefore, there’s no need to check.”

“Are you sure?” Jian Yiling asked.

“Yes, I’m sure. I’m very sure,” Zhai Yunsheng responded as he gritted his teeth.

Jian Yiling stared at Zhai Yunsheng for quite a while. There was a soft shade of red that appeared on Zhai Yunsheng’s cheeks.

Then, Zhai Yunsheng took advantage of that moment to break free from Jian Yiling. He quickly escaped from the kitchen.

He went to take a cold shower before he put on some casual clothes.

After he came out of his bedroom, Jian Yiling had already prepared three dishes and a soup. She was waiting to eat dinner with him.

“Next time, don’t do such strange things. You will end up suffering.”

“Why?” Jian Yiling asked.

“Because I might actually procreate with you.”

“But I’m engaged to you. Therefore, it’s technically part of my responsibilities,” Jian Yiling responded with a serious expression on her face. Then, she said: “Don’t worry. I’m not afraid of pain.”
