Next morning

The warm sun rays slipped through the creamy white curtains and fell on two peacefully asleep figures. The small one squirmed and raised its hips in the air. After some moments of snoring, it opened its glossy azure eyes and blinked a couple of times.

"Mmm... bed... Mommy's... Tehe", Yeye giggled and crawled onto the figure beside him.

"Mommy.... Wakey... wakey"

With his small arms, he climbed onto Bai Yuan's chest and nuzzled his face. Yeye tried to hug him but his arms were a little short to cover the whole area.

On the other hand, Bai Yuan was still deeply in slumber. But from his frowns, it looked like he was deeply dreaming about something. More likely, a nightmare.

In his dream, Bai Yuan vaguely saw a man hovering over him. It didn't take long to realize what that man was doing. He screamed and clutched the bedsheets in pain. He cried and begged to stop. But that man didn't stop, his light brown eyes shone like that of a beast. Suddenly all of those disappeared and he woke up with a jolt. Panting for a while, he realized the main reason for suffocation, and it was smiling brightly at him.

He found Yeye quite comfortably seated on his chest and flashing his small teeth at him.

"Mommy!"

"Call me daddy, Yeye." Bai Yuan replied with a hoarse voice and tried to sit up.

"Did you sleep well?"

"Hm"

Like this, an early peaceful morning began at the Blue Sky Manor.

Yeye was extremely reluctant to part with his mother but somehow everyone managed to take him back to his manor.

At first, Bai Yuan was greatly shocked to know that this small child had a manor of his own. "Perks of being born as a Prince, I guess! Why am I getting envious of a small kid? I have my manor too!"

Ah-Yuan oh Ah-Yuan

Bai Yuan, the explorer, explored the whole manor within 3 hours and soon became bored.

"Tch. No phone. No computer. No WiFi. What a life! Ugh!" he ranted as he sat down on a chair in his Pavilion. His maid was running after him for all this time, and finally, she stopped to catch some breath.

Something caught Bai Yuan's attention. He quickly went over there while his maid again started running behind him,

"MASTERR! WAIT FOR ME!"

Actually, a few young maids were playing hopscotch in a small place behind their servants' quarters. Bai Yuan was quickly captured by the moment,

"Let me play!"

The maids including Bai Yuan's maid froze. They stammered as they took turns in speaking.

"Your Highness, will you really play with us?"

"Your Highness, you will get hurt if you trip in that long dress."

"Please try to understand."

Yuan looked down at his feet, "It sure is long and huge to walk around."

He took a moment and started to undress.

The maids instantly went into a panic.

"Master!"

"Your Highness!"

Bai Yuan nonchalantly removed his outer coat, took off his fancy shoes, and tied up his long hair in a tight bun.

"Let's go!"

The maids were in pure disbelief.

"Is this really our cold aloof master who chose silence over everything and kept himself shut in his room?"

The other maids trembled.

"Whatever it is, I feel more relaxed around him nowadays."

"Me too. I might fall in love with him."

A young maid had her eyes closed with her palms.

"What are you doing?"

She replied, "His Highness is so sparkling handsome today. I may go blind from staring at him for so long."

Bai Yuan on the other hand was busy hoping like a bunny on the drawn tiles. He was starting to sweat and pant from exhaustion. He waved at the maids and spoke in his excited voice, "What are you guys doing there? Let's have fun together! "

The maids smiled brightly and all began to play together.

"MOMMY!"

Yeye came running to the people who were lost in their fun world. Yuan looked more energetic to see his adorable kid and went running to catch him in his arms.

"My little baby is here! Did you have your lunch?"

Yeye nodded his head and planted a soft kiss on Yuan's cheek, "Yeye, missed mommy!"

Yuan planted more kisses all over his face resulting in lots of giggles and wiggles.

Yeye's nanny looked behind and saw all the maids had their hands on their eyes as they stood still.

"What are you all doing there?"

"Madam, it's too dazzling today!"

"We might go blind."

"I agree."

Yuan, Yeye, and all the maids played together for a long time. At last, he was out of energy and sat down on the ground for some rest. However, the maids and Yeye's nanny got all worried.

"Your Highness, are you alright?"

"Go bring some refreshments! Hurry!"

Yuan waved his hand at them and replied in his soothing voice, "Don't worry. I'm alright. I had so much fun today. Thank you!"

The maids gasped, "His Highness just thanked us."

They all seem to have tears in their eyes.

Yuan got all flustered at the sudden change in response, "I really mean it. You know, I have no one else to talk and play with other than you all. So I'll be in your care."

Yeye stood up from the ground and thumped his small fist on his fluffy chest, "Mommy has Yeye!"

Yuan pulled him in his arms adoringly, "Awww. Obviously. I got the best people!"

It was such a precious moment that Yuan felt like life had never been better.

"Let's have a feast tonight. Tell the kitchen to make delicious food for all of us!"

It was when Yeye yawned and seemed droopy that Yuan realized the clock ticking 'late'. He gently scooped him up and stood up to turn on his heels. However, a sudden movement from the bushes caught his eye. He gestured for a guard nearby to follow him to his room and bid farewell to all the maids. Yeye's nanny and the guard followed behind until they reached Yuan's room.

Nanny took Yeye to bathe him while Yuan sat down on his wooden chair.

He spoke in his serious voice, "I need you to look into something."
