Chapter 55- Cleaning Home 2

The room was quiet. Everyone had complex reactions glued to their faces, especially the Zhou siblings.

Zhou Shinyu gritted her teeth as she continued reading the paper she was holding, That can't be true. Father can't do this to me.

General Bai's aged yet firm voice broke the silence in that big room, "Shinyu, Keyu, It's time you go back to your father. He must be longing to see you two."

Zhou Keyu nudged his sister after hearing what General Bai said, "Sister, why is Uncle suddenly telling us to go back?"

Blood started to rise in Shinyu's eyes, after pulling herself together, she whispered to Keyu, "Because...our damned drunkard father told us to go home all of a sudden."

Keyu was shocked. He stammered out of anxiety, "What? That was not in our plan! Why did he contact us suddenly?"

Shinyu roughly replied, "How do I know? It'd have been better if he had died along with Mother!"

Keyu's face got distorted at the mention of his mother. It was their mother who introduced General Bai who one day came to their rescue in that poor pathetic state they were in. General Bai had a stoic face but his inner self was gentle and amicable. How their mother met the General was not their concern, they just wanted to leave that hell called home and only General Bai could save them. Fragmented flashbacks came to Keyu. Memories of General Bai taking them and letting them stay in his huge mansion. Giving them three meals a day and clothes to wear. His only condition was to spend time with the little fragile kid who barely left his room. Keyu looked at Bai Yuan who entered the room and took a seat beside his father. That fragile kid from that day was now all grown up and brimming with control over the whole situation.

His face became uglier at the thought of losing everything he gathered penny by penny. Almost impulsively, Keyu stormed out of the room with long strides.

Shinyu was trying to find words when suddenly General Bai inhaled a long breath, "Shinyu, your mother was like sister to me. She was kind enough to help a wounded stranger without thinking about the consequences. As she wanted to give you two a better place to grow up, I too wanted someone to stay beside my son when I was not around. Thank you for staying here with us. It's time you two find your own happiness and return to your home. Don't worry, I will arrange everything for you two to travel comfortably."

Tears came rushing to Shinyu's black eyes. In her mind she thought,

No no no I can't leave this place, not now. I have so many dreams to conquer. I already lost so many valuables I had in my room because of that damn bi-tch!

But with her sour mouth she said, "Uncle, you have been a blessing to us. You are like a father figure to us. We couldn't even repay the kindness you showed all these years. Please let us stay and help you."

Bai Yuan had a huge smirk pasted on his pretty face,

Got you, crazy 'sister'.

Wang Yiheng was silently watching the drama without popcorn and coke. But seeing Bai Yuan smile ear to ear even in such a moment, he was bound to be curious, "Yuan, did you do something?"

Yuan seemed to be in a great mood. He stretched his neck forward to whisper in Wang Yiheng's ear, "Yes. I did."

Wang Yiheng was not surprised, or maybe he was, but his face was so calm that one couldn't guess the emotions, "What are you planning to do?"

"Cleaning the house."

At that moment, General Bai started speaking again, "You're always welcome as a guest in my mansion. But, you should perform your duty as a filial child and take care of your bedridden father at such times. Whatever he had done, he asked for forgiveness and pleaded to let you two go to your home."

Bai Yuan propped his chin on his hand that was resting on his thigh, "I will(not) miss you, sister (Crazy spider). As long as I'm here, you're always (never) welcome in MY house. As a VIP Guest."

Zhou Shinyu had nothing more to say after having herself and Keyu kicked out so casually by the person they underestimated the most. Zhou Shinyu looked down at her ordinary clothes and the ordinary carriage as she stepped out of the threshold. Bai Yuan stood beside the door, full of glamour and victorious aura.

Junkai stood one step behind him, "See, Junkai. How easy it is to clean your home. You just need to apply the correct strategy."

Junkai was confused but curious, "But, Your Highness, how did you do this?"

Bai Yuan flashed his pearl-like teeth, "Come here. I'll show you some flashbacks."

After Bai Yuan fainted in the Bathhouse he was carried like a princess to the main bed chamber by his husband. Wang Yiheng placed Bai Yuan on the bed and gently caressed Bai Yuan's flushed cheeks.

Earlier, Wang Yiheng got really nervous as to whether to take care of Yeye in that state or take Yuan out of that humid place. In the end, he picked both of them and handed Yeye over to his Nanny. The Nanny was having a hard time because Yeye kept crying unceasingly seeing Bai Yuan motionless in front of his eyes. Thus, Yeye was taken away by his Nanny, despite his will.

Wang Yiheng rinsed a piece of cloth in cold water and placed it on Bai Yuan's forehead. Bai Yuan's eyelids fluttered and soon he opened his eyes. He touched the cloth on his head and finally looked at the person beside him. Yiheng had his eyes locked on him(BY).

Bai Yuan slowly mumbled, surrendering under the deep gaze, "Did I faint in the bathhouse?"

Yiheng just hummed in response and played with Bai Yuan's wet loose strands of hair.

"Your hair. Will you let me dry them?"

Bai Yuan wasn't expecting this from him(WY). He awkwardly replied in the affirmative. He got up and sat properly so that Yiheng could dry his damp hair. On the other hand, Yiheng took a piece of cloth and gently started to rub Yuan's scalp with it. Yuan could guess that it was not his time drying someone's hair.

But the simple gesture made Bai Yuan's heart flutter.

How long has it been since someone showed such affection...sighs...I'm liking my second life more than I imagined. Hehe

Wang Yiheng smiled when he saw Bai Yuan enjoying the moment. The desire to hug him tightly from behind slowly sparked inside but all of a sudden someone started continuously banging on the door.

*Bang* *Bang* *Bang*

"*Hic* Let Yeye meet Mommy!"

As soon as Yuan heard the cries, he jumped up to quickly open the door. Without any doubt, Yeye was bawling out his big azure eyes and his nanny was trying her best to control the situation.

Yeye hugged Bai Yuan's legs as soon as he opened the door.

"Mommy!"

Bai Yuan staggered on his footing but somehow managed not to fall back. He sighed meekly and picked Yeye up in his arms, "And why is the little prince causing trouble?"

Yeye softly sobbed as he rubbed his tear-soaked eyes, "Hic...Mommy fainted suddenly. Yeye was scared."

Yeye's concerned face made Yuan's heart throb in pain. He cleaned Yeye's face with his sleeves, leaving the maids whispering among themselves. Then he closed the door behind and entered the room. Wang Yiheng was patiently waiting for him to return.

Yeye nuzzled closely to his mother and finally, his breathing was going back to normal. Bai Yuan sat in his previous place.

Yeye peeked at Wang Yiheng and then again hid in Bai Yuan's neck, hugging tightly. Wang Yiheng couldn't help but stroke Yeye's small head affectionately. He spoke in his calm voice, "I will tell the head maid to bring our dinner here."

"Will it be okay?"

"Yes. Let me hold Yeye, you'll catch a cold in those thin robes."

At last, Bai Yuan remembered that he was still wearing the bathrobe. He wasn't embarrassed but he quickly got up to change into new clothes. Yeye was once again separated from his beloved mother. He gave a small harmless side-eye to his father but sat patiently on Wang Yiheng's lap.

Soon the dinner table was arranged with what not mouthwatering foods. Bai Yuan chirped happily, "Heaven~"

Following him Yeye swayed his head and chirped, "Heaven~"

Wang Yiheng felt his heart fill up with fullness. Now he had his complete family. Like every previous meal, Bai Yuan got busy picking up delicious food for Yiheng and so Yiheng also started picking up all sorts of delicacies for him. Coincidentally, both of them passed their bowls to each other at the same time and soft giggles started filling the room alongside the aroma of freshly cooked meals.

Bai Yuan scooped a small portion of chicken soup into his spoon and blew gently. On the other hand, Yeye had his small mouth opened to welcome the food.

Suddenly Bai Yuan's hand paused in mid-air because he recalled something really important.

"Your Majesty! I totally forgot, what happened to Junkai? Where is she?"

Wang Yiheng also paused de-boning the chicken for Yeye, "Ah. She is in jail. Xu Ying was assigned to investigate her."

Bai Yuan retracted his hand and said with genuine worry, "But she helped us! Please, can't you do something?"

Bai Yuan again scooped some soup and proceeded to feed Yeye, whereas, Yeye opened his mouth wide with anticipation.

Wang Yiheng replied calmly, "I did it for your safety."

Bai Yuan again paused in his actions, "How come? Will it solve the problem? It'd be better if we keep such strong and skilled people by our side."

"I didn't get your point, Yuan."

Yuan once again, scooped some soup, "I was thinking of having her as my bodyguard."

Wang Yiheng fell into deep silence, but he was powerless under the influence of the sincerely anticipating eyes of his wife.

He tried to clear his throat, "I-I would look into the matter. The food is getting cold."

Yuan dropped the spoon on the bowl and excitedly replied, "I take it as a Yes! Thank you, Dear!"

Wang Yiheng almost immediately choked on his food when he heard "Dear" for the first time from Yuan. Yuan got worried when he suddenly started coughing.

"Your Majesty, what's wrong? Here, drink some water!"

From the other side came a low muffled sobbing noise. Hurriedly, Yuan looked at Yeye and saw him trying his best not to cry. Yuan spoke nervously, "What happened to you now?"

Yeye sucked inside his snorts, "Mommy...my Chiki Soup..."

Finally, he remembered that he was feeding a small hungry child.

He slapped his forehead, "Ugh, I'm so sorry!"

Later that night, Bai Yuan assigned Xu Ying on a secret mission. He was ordered to find Zhou Shinyu's father and make him write a letter by all means stating that he was on a deathbed and wanted to spend the rest of his days with his children.

As expected, Xu Ying completed his mission with flying colors.
