My life in your eyes

Aradhya stormed  into reyansh's room and her anger palpable with each determined step. She was ready to confront him, her words sharp and ready to cut. But as she burst through the door, her breath caught in her throat. Reyansh stood there, shirtless, his back turned to her. The sight of his back, marred with scars, stopped her in her tracks. The anger that had fueled her entrance dissipated, replaced by a mix of shock and concern.

Reyansh sensing the presence turned and his eyes widens when he sees aradhya rooted to her place staring at him.

He quickly grabbed the shirt and wore it quickly.he moved towards her with slow steps.

"What brought you here jaan?"he asked softly, feeling a sense of happiness rush through him as she came to his room.

"R-reyansh those scars!!"her voice trembled as she formed the words.

For the moment he had forgotten about his scars,she had seen them.

What would he reply now?he can't tell her this.

"Just some accident,not much serious"he replied with a slight smile.

"Don't lie Reyansh,these don't look like accident scars and looking at them those were damn serious"her words sharp yet concerning.

"Answer me Reyansh!"she said trying to find the answer in his eyes.

"Don't look for the answers aradhya,you won't get them"he replied avoiding her gaze.

"Why won't I?I asked for them and i would get them since I have seen those scars and Mr reyansh Rajput look at me when I am talking"her cold and commanding voice made him look at her.

She has changed and has become even stronger.

He didn't want to look at her eyes because he might spill out the truth but how could he not follow her command?if she had asked him to even drink poison he would have gladly.

"Answer my question"she again stated.

"Please Jaan,you won't be able to take that, don't ask me to tell your truth please!"he pleaded trying his best to make her understand.

"If you love me then answer my question"

She played emotional card,she has become cunning and he still loves it but this is making it hard for him.

"Jaan-

"So it was all fake words you said to me that night aren't they?"

"No,they weren't.i love you and it was never a lie and will never be.i just don't want you to know this but if you want to.fine I will tell you"

"Go on"she replied her eyes not leaving his face for even a moment.

"I hurted you so much for almost six months.firstly I verbally abused you,then even physically.i shattered your heart into pieces.i broke your hope.i am the reason the flower is dead.i am the one who stole away your emotions.i am your culprit and i couldn't just get away with this.so i-i punished myself.i punished myself for my sins I did.i deserved it all and maybe even more than this.i wanted to give myself the same pain I gave you.i know this wasn't enough to the pain you felt but this made me feel less guilty.the guilt was so much that even if i died due to this pain,it wasn't enough, it would never be enough."

Aradhya cupped her mouth and a lone tear escaped her eyes.

"How long?how long did you do it?"she questioned,her lips trembling.

"For 3 years"he answered coming closer to her and wiping the tear that escaped her eyes.

"Please don't cry,you are making me feel more guilty.i can't forgive myself ever and your tears make me loath myself even more"

She shook her head hastily.

"Don't say that.please"she whispered.

"You didn't deserve it,jaan.i did so many sins,I am a monster and i deserved it all .don't cry for a monster like me.please I beg you"

She placed her hand on his mouth and shook her head.

"Even if you abused me, doesn't mean you should do same to yourself to compensate,reyansh.this doesn't erase the past.it even hurts more to hear it.you are hurting me even now"

"I-i am sorry Jaan.i didn't mean to hurt you.i told you that i didn't want to tell you.see now i hurted you again.i am a monster who just hurts you.i even don't deserve your forgiveness"

His own eyes betrayed him and tears fell down his eyes.

"Then why are you doing it?give up.stop asking for my forgiveness"

"No,i can't do that.even if I don't deserve your forgiveness I will still beg for it even if it takes lifetime.i want you to be loved.i want to fix those broken chords jaan.even thinking you dancing on the dance of love with someone else burns my heart,how could I think of someone else loving you, adoring you the place which I crave for.i know I am selfish but I have always been like this.if I hurted you,I am responsible to heal you and even if it means to break my heart while moulding yours,I am even ready to do that"

"Why are you stubborn?"she questioned as her heart ached.

"Because love is painful and to make it less painful we need to be stubborn.

It had been 5 years without you and everyday passing suffocated me more and more.i would stay in my office whole day,at night i couldn't sleep at night,i barely slept 3 hours.

At night i would stare at the sky,there was the moon and stars but still my life was dark, without any light.

The moon wasn't as beautiful as you were and my eyes only craved for your beauty."

He wiped his tears and gazed at her,how enchanting her eyes are.how beautiful she looks with a smile which is snatched from her face.

The world seemed like fading as they got lost in each other's eyes.

After a few minutes of silence, Reyansh spoke up"why did you come here jaan?was it something important?"

Aradhya snapped out of her world as she heard his words.

"Yes"

"What is it?"he asked.

"Why the hell you invested in my company?what do you think of yourself huh?you think doing this will make you win my heart!no,never"she yelled with anger,the pain and concern long forgotten.

'she is bipolar or maybe mood swings'he thought.

"I don't intend to win your heart by any materialistic thing jaan.not with the flowers,not with the money."he replied her gently holding her hand.

"Then why?"she questioned jerking her hand off from him.

"Because I wanted to"

His answer irritated her and she muttered"fuck you"

"Will you?"he teasingly asked.

Her cheeks turned slightly red in embarassment and giving him a glare she left his room.

Karan was talking with his parents on video call and dhruv beside him with a poker face when aradhya entered the living room.

"Who are you talking to?"she questioned as she moved towards them.

"It's mom and dad"he answered.

"Uncle aunty"she smiled widely sitting on the other side of karan.

"Hello sweet people"she smiled waving at them.

"Hey bacha,how are you?"kamini Malhotra,Karan and dhruv's mother asked.

"I am fine aunty how are you both?"

"We are fine too,beta"ranveer Malhotra,their father answered with a smile.

"What were you all talking about?"she questioned.

"Oh,we were talking about Dhruv's marriage"kamini answered.

"I am not getting married maa,I have told you many times"

"Kyun nahi karni?33 saal ka ho gya,ab tak bache ho jaane chahiye the lekin maharaj ko toh sanyasi ban na hai"

(Why?you are 33 years old,by now you should have had kids but you want to be saint)

Karan laughed while aradhya tried her best to not laugh.

"Maa,you are the best roaster"karan said in between of laughs.

Dhruv smacked Karan on his head.

"Ouch,maa papa see he is beating me"Karan whined.

"Dhruv, don't you dare even touch my Little son,or i will get you married with in this month"his father warned him but they all knew he was just acting.

"First get a girl,dad then get me married within month"dhruv said rolling his eyes.

"A boy could do too"Karan chimed in and Dhruv glared at him.

"I am straight"dhruv replied.

"I was talking about myself"he joked.

They talked for an half hour and then cut the call.

"What did you mean by that,Karan?"

"What?"karan asked confused by Dhruv's words.

"The boy one??"

"Oh,that umm I don't mind actually a boy as a boyfriend"Karan said smiling nervously.

"Don't be nervous Karan,I am not eating you and it's totally that you are gay but didn't you like lara?"dhruv asked.

"Yes, don't tell me she rejected you?"aradhya asked.

"No, it's not like that umm she has a fiance,they will get married after few months."he replied

"You didn't know about it before?"aradhya asked.

"I came to know about it few days ago"Karan replied with a sigh.

"It's okay Karan"dhruv patted his shoulder.

"Yes,you told me it was just a crush and I hope it was just that and you will move on.dont be sad okie?"

"Guys, don't show me this sympathy and I am Karan Malhotra,i would never shed a tear for someone who never loved me.it was just a crush and nothing else.she is happy with what she has and I am happy with what I have."

"That's like my bestfriend"aradhya cheered.

Karan smiled at her words.

"So do you like someone else now?"Aradhya asked knowing his crush changes very soon.

"Maybe or maybe not"he replied smiling sheepishly.

"Stupid and childish"dhruv mumbled.

"Yahh! don't call me that, liking someone isn't childish and not at all stupid"Karan replied offended.

"What's in all this stuff?after you know that you will never get that person"dhruv questioned.

"That's the joy of liking someone and not expecting something from return.also It's just a crush and nothing ever goes far than this.i am trying to find someone with whom I could say there is more than just liking ."

Aradhya smiled mischievously before speaking"so who's that someone you like now?"

"I am not telling you"

She Huffed and said"why?are you keeping secrets now?"

"It's not like that, it's just I feel...forget it"

"What?tell me na pookie"aradhya pouted and looked at him with her big eyes,the tables have turned and now it's him trying to resist her puppy eyes.

"Fine,i will tell you only that he is a famous person"

"He?ahh mmhmm and a famous person? A celebrity crush I see"she teased him.

"Kind of,but not actually a celebrity he is more of reserved person,I saw him in an event two days ago,this was the only time in 2 years he attended any event"

"What's his profession?"dhruv asked.

"An artist"

"Is he Ishaant aghinotri?"dhruv questioned.

"How do you know?"Karan questioned back,shock evident in his voice.

"I know him"
