I can turn you into poetry

But i can't make you love me

Aradhya sat quietly on the terrace, her eyes fixed on the vast expanse of the night sky. The stars twinkled above, each one a tiny beacon of light in the darkness.

But her sparkling like stars- eyes were displaying her sadness.

The gentle breeze whispered through the night, caressing her face and playing with her hair. Strands of her hair danced gracefully in the wind, moving in rhythm with the soft rustling of the leaves around her. The cool air was a soothing balm, wrapping her in a comforting embrace as she sat lost in her thoughts.

Why did he do that?was he not happy that she finally forgave him?was he playing games with her?is he going to break her heart which is already broken?will be say that it was all a prank tomorrow?but what does him punishing himself conclude?that he is regretting something.but what is that something?why is he regretting?what is he guilty about?

Her track of thoughts came to a break when she heard footsteps coming.

She didn't look back and a few moments later,she could feel a presence beside her but she chose to not look, knowing it was him.

"I am sorry,jaan"his whisper was loud enough for her to hear but she acted like she didn't hear it.

He sighed knowing he has messed up.

"Please look at me once"he pleaded.

"Reyansh,go away"she said looking up at stars, totally ignoring his words.

"Jaan-

"Don't call me that when you don't take me as one"she snapped at him but still didn't look at him which ached him.

"You are my lifeline, Aradhya.without you I was like a body without soul,not living but surviving"he replied honestly.

But Aradhya's mind drifted back to the scene where he was punching the punching bag mindlessly and blood was oozing out of his hands.

"Nice one,now go"she said rolling her eyes.

"I am not joking.my lady,please look at me.i can't bear your ignorance after your little attention on me in these two days"he tried to hold her hand when he said but she just jerked his hand off.

"Oh really?seems like you didn't want something like that happened and was guilty about it,so you were punching that bag mindlessly.am I right?"she finally looked at him and to him it was like finally the light appeared in his dark world.

"It's not like that.i am literally so happy that you forgave me and went on date with me"he expressed.

"So?you punch like an psycho whenever you are happy?huh?"she raised her brow,not wanting to fall for his sugarcoated words.

"No,i was-

"Stop it,Reyansh.why the hell are you hurting yourself!!"her voice raised a little.

"Baby hear me out please"he begged as his eyes conveyed his helplessness.

"Spill it out"she said crossing her arms .

"I was so happy that you forgave me and also went to a date with me.we also kissed,I was on cloud nine.but the reality sink in--i am the monster who snatched away your emotions,I am the monster who crushed the flower.it just became so much that I had to vent it physically.i just can't get over this guilt not matter if you say you forgive me for thousand times"he expressed all of his thoughts and her chest physically ached hearing it.

Aradhya's heart a tender flower

Blooming in the garden,

A flower that bloomed so bright

But,Reyansh,with careless hands,

Crushed that fragile bloom.

Now he is,a monster,in the darkness of her world.

He snatched away her joy,her laughter

Left her with hollow heart,

Shattered into pieces

The petals of her emotions, scattered by wind,

Reyansh's heart heavy,with weights of his sins.

He sees the pain he caused,

Her beautiful eyes blank.

Regret fills his every Breath,

As he remembers every haunting memory.

A monster he has become,in their story.

Wishing he could turn back time,be her prince charming not the monster.

But the flower lies in pieces, it's beauty torn apart.

And, Reyansh with guilty soul,finds the way to mend the broken pieces.

In the garden of remorse,he kneels and weeps.

"You know Reyansh,guilt is a very dangerous emotion though I haven't felt it much deep but I know how it feels like regretting what you did when you could have done something else, something much better.but we know we can't change our actions which just happened,so we need to focus on the actions we will be doing now and in future.we can't change the past and you gotta stop being guilty about it"she exclaimed softly holding his hand,which she herself jerked off few minutes ago.

"I.. can't help it"he sighed as the words left his mouth.

"Because you are doing it for your own sake,you don't want to be guilty anymore so you are punishing yourself...do it for me,stop hurting yourself for me.stop being guilty for me,if you do this again so it will remind me more of our past.dp you want me to remind it?"she twisted the words and he fell for it.

"Of course not"he replied quickly.

"So stop with this game of yours of hurting yourself"she said firmly and he nodded.

A small smile crept on his lips and she frowned"what's the smile for?"

"You have learnt manipulation,and you tricked me"he said as he raised a brow.

"You didn't give me any other option,so I had to do it"she shrugged off.

"But I love it, I don't mind being manipulated by you"he said as he gently caressed her hand with his thumb.

"It's not fun when you already know that I am manipulating you."she rolled her eyes,he knows it all and is still getting manipulated,this is no fun.

"Woman,you have become so clever"he remarked.

"Am I?"she chuckled"I was clever since childhood,I just didn't use my wits because I thought with my heart that time"

"So you are taking decisions with brain?"he questioned.

"Yes"she replied.

"If it was the case,you would have never forgiven me"he said and she pursed her lips together to not smile.

"You have learnt me so well,Mr Rajput.I still take a few decisions with my heart you know, it' broken but still beats."she replied with a small smile.

"Let's heal it together,may we?"he asked as he gazed at her lovingly.

"First heal yourself reyansh.i can't give the responsibility of my heart who's already not healed"she said looking up at the sky.

"I don't mind breaking my heart in the process of healing yours,but if you want it let's heal each other."he said as he also looked up at the sky.

She looked towards him,the sincerity in his words affecting her much more than she thought.

"You sure about it?"she hesitated.

"111 Percent"he replied and she smiled.

"Alright"she said as she put her head on his shoulder and his entire body stiffed.

His heart seemed to be freezed for a moment,then it again started pumping blood,but faster than before--so wildly that he knew she could hear his heartbeat raising.

"I love the sound of your heartbeat raising,I love my effect on you"she whispered as she looked at their hands, holding each other as if holding onto each other's souls.

He didn't say anything just simply smiled and kissed her forehead.

"A falling star"she exclaimed as she stood up and jumped in excitement.

He looked amused,the woman who just manipulated him right few moments ago is now jumping like a kid.

He saw her closing her eyes and wishing for something and he prayed in his mind that whatever she wished shall come true..please.

She turned to him and he asked"what did you wish?"

"That we heal each other soon"she said and smiled"what did you wish?"

"That your wish comes true"

He said as he took a step towards her and now they were so close to each other.

They both stared into each other's eyes,the world faded away--music of their heart beating only audible.

"Kiss already"someone exclaimed from behind and they both were startled.

Karan giggled as he saw their reaction.

"The fuck Karan"Reyansh cursed as he ruined their moment.

Dhruv followed him upstairs and mentally facepalmed himself as he saw the scene.

"Why did you bring me here?for thirdwheeling?"he questioned.

"Fourth wheeling Bhai!cause I am thirdwheeling"Karan said with a mischievous smile.

"How long have you been here?"Aradhya questioned as she narrowed her eyes at him.

"We just came now,did we miss something?"he asked teasingly.

"Yea,I was about to throw him from here,you will be a great help"she said.

"Oh should have come later then,RIP Reyansh bhaiya, let's go dhruv bhai"he said as he chuckled and left from there,dragging dhruv with him.

"What was that?"Reyansh looked confused.

"Nothing, let's go"she said as she smiled mischievously.

"You seriously made an excuse of throwing me from here!"he exclaimed,fake offended.

"Idea isn't bad right?"she asked as she smirked.

He gulped and hastily said"no,I was just joking, let's go"

He still gotta take more time to know this woman more,she really has changed so much.

Though he didn't understand her before 5 years too but he knew she was a tender and kind soul.

A notification popped and Reyansh with a hope that it's from Aradhya opened quickly but was disappointed to see it's from their group which had been dead for around 7-8 years.

Karan: why?I like it,after all you ain't my brothers!

Reyansh: whatever

Aryan: whatever.
