~CHAPTER 18~

"Honey I haven't gotten bad news all night. How much did you pay them?" Natasha asks and Sebastian burst out laughing. After talking with Ms. J, the teachers all said that they were going to take a little break so we were just wondering the hall waiting for the short intermission to end. And well now you know what's happening, I really don't know what's happening.

"I didn't pay them. I don't know what's happening."

"Where you that bad back at home?" May asks and I shake my head while Seb nods, of course he's nodding.

"No I was just a little trouble maker. But who doesn't love a trouble maker?"

"Mr. Waters." Cole says and we all nod in agreement.

"Yeah he really hates us. How did he give Natasha good news?"

"I don't either." I drink some of my water and then I get this urge to go to the bathroom. You know when you're casually just doing nothing and then you get this sudden urge to go to the bathroom. No? Oh well only me then. "I'll be right back I have to go to the bathroom."

I start walking to the bathroom and someone bumps into me. Wow twice in one day I'm on a roll I didn't bum into them. I wonder what they think about me. Are my shoulders hard when you bump into them? Hmm the world may never know. I make it into the bathroom and obviously do my necessities. I'm washing my hands when I hear this voice and get startled half to death.

"You need to stay away from him." I turn around to see a tall girl, with platinum blonde hair, a fake tan, fake boobs, and really tight clothes, standing by the door with her arms crossed, which only caused her fake boobs to push up more. She looks as fake as a plastic Barbie doll from the dollar tree.

"Excuse me." I say confused

"You heard me you need to stay away from him. Or else" Another threat how lovely, I need to change roommates.

"From who?" Wait for it. Cha-

Chase.

Would you let me finish?

No.

You are such a bitch to me sometimes

Sometimes more like all the time

Then why don't you stop

Because

That's not a reason

It is for you.

"Don't play dumb. Max obviously." She spat. I wasn't expecting that.

"I'm sorry. Who are you?"

"I'm Vanessa Evergreen. His girlfriend." Wow and I thought he was single. Note the sarcasm.

"Look Vaseline, I-" She interrupts me and I sigh.

"Vanessa." She corrects.

"Sure. Look sweetie if you want me to stay away from him, talk to him not me." I say and go to walk out but she puts a hand on my shoulder and stops me.

"I said it once I'm not going to say it again. Stay away from him."

I walk away but not before muttering a 'Bitch' her way. When I'm coming back from the bathroom I hear Nat and Chase talking. I stop in a corner and listen. Where the fuck did everybody else go?

"Thank you." Nat says. Why is she thanking him?

"For what?" Chase asks voicing my thoughts.

"Making her happy." Whoop let me stop this real quick, before too much information is spilled.

"What do you mean?" I start walking towards them.

"Hey I'm back."

"Took you long enough." Natasha says and I smile. I look over at Chase and see him looking at me with a puzzled look. Oh Chase the things that you don't know.

"Yeah there was this bitch in the bathroom threatening me, you know the regular." I continue. "Blonde, fake boobs, fake tan, pushes up the fake boobs so everybody knows she has fakes. The regular."

"Why are people threatening you?" Nat asks.

"Because they're obsessed with Chase and they're afraid I'll steal him from them." I decided I would ask the girls about Vaseline before I tell anyone.

"Oh my poor daughter."

"You know mom you shouldn't be surprised if I'm dead by Halloween." I say and they burst out laughing except Nat she just stares at me, looking like she's going to cry. What the hell did I say? "Why do you look like you're about to cry?"

"You called me mom." Shit I let it slip.

"Why is Nat about to cry?" Sebastian says as he and the girls start walking our way.

"I let it slip." I say and he nods.

"Oh okay."

"You knew?" Natasha asks Seb and he nods.

"She's been calling mom behind your back a couple years now." He says munching on a chip. He's like a bottomless pit he was eating less than two hours ago.

"Why didn't you call me mom to my face?"

"Because this would be your reaction."

"Eh fair." She says and shrugs. "You think of me as a mom." She says in a teasing tone and I roll my eyes while nodding.

"Yeah, yeah." Chase is still looking at me with a questioning look. He's not gonna let this go is he? "Hey where are the guys?"

"They went to annoy Mr. Waters." May says and laugh a little. "Last I saw him he looked like he was about to cry while the boys were following him."

"You kids torment that poor man too much." Nat says and we all nod muttering a 'yeah'

"I was in detention the other day and Grey was there too because he had glued Mr. Waters to his chair." I say and chuckle a bit.

"That poor man he looked so tired when we went to talk to him."

"Yeah. Oh well." We all start walking around. "I'm hungry."

"Me too." Liz says and then May is next to speak.

"Me three." All of us agreed we're all hungry.

"Want to go to the Denny's we found? You know, after parent teacher night is over." I suggested and we all said yes, and Nat says that she will go back to her hotel.

...

"Hello I'm Hallie, welcome to Denny's, I'm going to be your waiter today. What can I get for you?" She says and I had to conceal a laugh. We all tell her our orders and she quickly jotted them down. When she left, we all fell back into conversation, except me I was just thinking about the day of the crash. About how the girl that gave us our Ice-Cream that day, her name was Hallie. I miss my dad. Like I miss him a lot he was my best friend. He was a crazy, fun dad. He wasn't too strict or too lose.

Look down at my lap cause I know that if I look at anyone right now I might cry. And I'm not going to cry. Today is a happy day because we didn't get bad news from my teachers. No chancleta today. I felt someone nudge me with their elbow, and I look to my right to see Chase giving me the same confused look he was giving me back at the school.

"What's wrong?"

"It's nothing, I'm fine."

That's a lie

"If you're fine then, why doesn't it sound like you're convinced with yourself?"

"Because-" I start to explain but I get cut off by the waiter. Oh thank god. I almost shared something important about me.

"Here you go here are your orders." She hands us our plates and we all quickly dig in.

"So what crazy shit has my cousin done since she got here?" Sebastian ask and I roll my eyes. I knew this question was coming at one point.

"Nothing at all." I say and May snorts.

"That's a lie." May says and smiles at Seb.

"Please tell me more. I'm kinda running out on blackmail material."

"What would you like to hear first?" She pauses. "The time she threw paint all over our dear friend here?" She points at Chase. "Or the time she ran around the bathroom naked?"

"Which one came first?"

"They were both one the same day." I groan and I burry my face in my hands from embarrassment. We continue eating, talking, and laughing during the rest of the night, listening to the crazy shit May was coming up with. Okay, she wasn't coming up with it, but still I'm not that crazy right? Eh, who cares?

When we finish eating, we pay and go to my car. And yes we all fit in my car, truth be told two of the guys were in the very back of the car but we were comfortable. May was currently telling Seb about my bathroom adventures. She had decided to tell him about the paint first then bathroom. You can guess what's happening now.

"I so did not do that on purpose, I didn't even know there was anyone else in the bathroom." I interfere.

"Imagine my surprise when I felt a naked body fall on top of me." Chase says and continues. "I thought it was one of the guys from our floor but the person was too light weighted to be a guy."

"Hey I don't weight that little."

"Dude you're as light as a feather."

"You're only saying that because you play football and you lift weights and shit all the time."

"No darling, I have to agree with Chase on this one. You are as light as a feather." Liz says from next to May.

"How do you know?"

"You asked me to give you a piggy ride the other day, because you were too tired from Senior Field Day."

"Oh okay." When we left Sebastian at the hotel I got out of the car to take him to his room and while I'm at it say goodbye to Nat.

They were leaving tomorrow, because Seb has school on Monday and he already missed 4 days. So he has to catch up on some homework and shit so today was the only day I was going to be seeing them. Oh but Maddie why don't you take them to the airport like the good little daughter you are? I can't because their flight leaves at 6:30 in the morning and the school doesn't let any student leave before 8:00. I get broken from my train of thoughts when seb speaks.

"You like him don't you?"

"Who?"

"Chase." Right when the words come out of his mouth I fall to the floor laughing.

"Where did you get that idea?" I say trying to catch my breath.

"Oh what a sad sight. When you're in denial I mean."

"Denial from what?" I continue. "There is no denial here, I don't like chase. In fact I kinda hate him."

"No you don't."

"No I don't." I pause. "But I don't like him either so."

"Yeah, yeah whatever helps you sleep at night." He says and I roll my eyes at him. We ride the elevator all the way up to the floor they're staying in, and climb off. When he opens the door to they're room, I'm the first one to go in. I say goodbye to Nat, and start making my way back to the car, only to see Chase behind the wheel. Who gave him permission to drive my baby?

"What're you doing behind the wheel?"

"I am going to drive back. You seemed a bit tired so I thought I should let you sleep while we drive back and I will wake you up when we get there." He answers and I nod.

"Thank you." That's nice of him.

"It's not a favor. I just don't feel like crashing tonight, and not crashing involves a not sleepy driver, something you're not." There it is.

"Oh, how thoughtful, and I thought you were thinking about me for a second there." I buckle up and rest my head against the window. I fall asleep almost immediately, but I woke up again in what feels like less than 5 minutes. "Leave me alone."

"C'mon princess we're here." I hear someone says and I turn the other way. "Come on, let's get you to your bed."

"No." I whine earning a long sigh from the person trying to wake me up.

"Okay I guess I'll have to do this the other way." And before I know I'm scooped up being carried by two very strong arms. I fell asleep again to a nice smell. The last thing I remember is feeling someone put me in my bed.

"Goodnight Addie." Goodnight.

AUTHOR'S NOTE

Heyyyyyyy. So here's chapter 18. So she has a new nickname. Addie might be my favorite. I don't have much to say in this Author's note just that.
