~CHAPTER 28~

"I'ma hit you back in a minute, I don't play tag, bitch I been it, We don't fuck with lies, We don't do goodbyes, We just keep it pushing like aye, aye, aye." I sing the lyrics to 'Truth Hurts' by Lizzo, while taking a shower. My phone on top of one of the little walls that help with not letting anybody else see me as I shower in this really tiny sower. I turn to grab my soap, but when I turn I my elbow crashes with the wall and I wince at the pain that shot through my arm. "Shit." That has happened more time than I want to admit, yet I still haven't gotten used to it.

I finish showering and get out with a towel securely wrapped around me, and start walking back to the dorm, dropping my things on my bed I lay down next to my things sighing. The door opened and I look up to see Chase there.

"Hey."

"Hey Princess."  He goes to his closet to get what I'm imagining is clothes for after his shower. A knock on the door makes me stand up and open the door. The dude that's standing on the other side of the door looks me up and down and I roll my eyes. I look at the dudes hand and see that he has a packet in his hands.

"My eyes are up here buddy." He looks up and his cheeks flush a little. He looks young, sophomore maybe. Chase comes to stand next to me by the door and the kid's eyes widen a little.

"Uh- th-this was left for y-you at my dorm. They read the dorm address wrong." He extends his hands to give me the packet.

"Well thank you..." I trail off waiting for him to tell me his name.

"B-Ben, that's my name."

"Well thank you very much Ben." I say and he nods.

"You're welcome. Bye." He waves and practically sprints down the stairs. Poor little dude. I take the box to my bed and open it revealing the costumes I ordered the other day for Chase and I.

"Ooh look at what got here." He comes over to me and chuckles a little at what's inside the box.

"You wanna use them today?"

"Duh, Halloween is Sunday, that way we have an excuse to show them to her today." He nods and says he's gonna take a quick shower before putting it on. Once he's gone I take off my towel letting it drop on the floor and go to my closet looking for a bra and some panties. I put them on and I hear the door start to open so I take my towel and cover myself. Before the door can open I push it shut and scream to whoever, to please wait outside while I get ready. I quickly put on the costume and open the door, revealing Lucas and Cole.

"Really?" Lucas looks at my costume and smile at him. "You wearing that the whole day?"

"Yup." I grab my phone and lay down on my bed waiting for Chase to come in. when he does he gets dressed in his costume matching mine. "Need some help there?" I ask him when I see him struggling with the zipper. The door opens when I'm midway zipping Chase's zipper and the girls enter the room. Now that I think about it, our room has become the room where everybody meets every morning.

"Oh my God." May says when she spots Chase and me. "What are you two wearing?"

"Halloween costumes." Chase says as I finish zipping him up.

"Yeah no shit Sherlock, but why?"

"Because Halloween is on Sunday and we're not wearing these on Sunday, I will be wearing the Bubbles costume we made."

"Yeah okay but why those costumes specifically?"

"Because these are dedicated to a specific person." I say and she looks like she's about to ask another question, but Cole shakes his head and she immediately knew not to ask more questions. I turn to Chase and start talking. "You know what the good thing is?" he shakes his head. "I can actually sleep in this."

"Hmm hadn't thought about that." He says and we grab our backpacks and head to the dining hall, hoping that the person we dedicated the costumes for, doesn't see us. I feel arms encircle around my waist and I smile knowing its Max.

"Hey." I turn around and he gives my cheek a kiss, his hands still on my waist.

"Hey." He smiles at me and looks at my choice of clothing for this fine day. "Creative? I honestly don't know what to say. Why are you wearing that?"

"I saw it on Amazon and I had to buy it, and well we decided to dedicate them to a specific person we're seeing today." I say with the smile permanent on my face.

"We?" I turn around and wave Chase over.

"Yeah me and Chase are matching." An almost invisible glare sets on Max's face and I frown. Guess my smile wasn't that permanent. Does he not like the costumes?

"Hey man." Chase greets Max when he gets close to us.

"Hey." Max says in a monotone voice. Chase sensing the vibes points behind him.

"I'm just gonna go back to the line with everybody." I nod and he waves a goodbye to Max who doesn't bother to reciprocate it. I push his hands off of my waist and turn towards Max.

"Okay what the hell was that?"'

"What?" he asks as if he didn't know.

"Don't act stupid Max, you know what I'm talking about."

"It was nothing." He shakes his head about to step closer to me, but I take a step back.

"Are you jealous?" I ask him shocked.

"What? No. Why would I be jealous of him." Max scoffs and I shake my head.

"I don't know you tell me."

"Fine. Why would you be matching with him when you're going out with me?"

"Okay first of all, we're not exclusive you haven't had the balls to ask me to be you girlfriend, and to me it's too early because we've only gone out on a few dates. And second of all, why I'm matching with him is because of an inside joke that well obviously involves these costumes." I say and walk away from him without another word. I get to the table and see that there was already a tray in the spot that I sit at in our usual table. "Thank you, to whoever brought me food." I hear Chase mumble a low thank you and I smile at him.

"Okay so how is this gonna work?" Chase asks and an idea pops into my head.

"Ooh, get down."

"Why?"

"So I can get on your shoulders duh."

"Oh that's clever."

"I know." He gets down and I sit on his shoulders.

"What are you guy's doing?" Lucas ask when he sees me getting on top of Chase's shoulders.

"Re-creating a painting Chase did. Can you please open the door for us?" I say nonchalantly, I think weird is our normal.

"Sure." He smiles and opens the door for us. Most of the studest are already here so Ms. J was already about to stand up to close the door after us, but when she sees us she stops in her tracks and sighs.

"Hello Maddison, Chase."

"Hi!" We say at the same time in a cheery tone.

"Why?" she leans back against her desk looking up at me.

"Because it's Halloween in two days, and that day is Sunday, so we can't show you our amazing costumes. And we really wanted to show you. We decided to dress up like this for you." I say and I lean down and rest my head on top of Chase's.

"I'm thing one and she's thing two just like you had said." Chase chimes in and Ms. J sigh, but not her usually tired of us sigh it's more like a 'how cute' sigh. I pat Chase's head and he looks up.

"Let me down please." He bends down so I can get off and I do so. We turn to Ms. J and I smile at her.

"I love your costumes they're very creative. Now please take your seats so the class can begin." She says and walks past us to close the door. "Class for today..." she goes on and explains the instructions of what we were going to be doing in today's class. Chase and I finished around the same time and handed in our works. When we handed them in Ms. J told us we could leave early if we wanted to since she loved our costumes so much, and that's exactly what we did, we left early and I told May that I would be at that dorm adding some finishing touches to our costumes for Sunday. I put on some music, or more specifically 'Mr. Postman' by The Marvelettes, on my record player.

"Damn Madd's these look the bomb where did you learn how to sew?" May says while she admires the power puff Girls costume. They were really easy to make I just needed some stuff from the thrifts store and target too. We got those one of the nights that we sneaked out.

"Nat taught me." I say laying down on my bed. I hear my phone ring from somewhere in the room and I spot it sitting next to my record player. Grabbing it I see that it's Seb the one that's calling me through Face Time. I turning to May I ask her. "Have you told him that I'm cool with you guys being together yet?"

"No I was planning on telling him soon though."

"Perfect." I smirk and she looks at me with a worried look. I smile normally and answer the phone. "Hello."

"Hi."

"What's up?"

"Nothing I just wanted to know how everything was, how you're doing."

"I'm doing great. What about you?"

"I'm great. So..."

"I actually wanted to talk to you about something."

"What's that?"

"I know your secret." I tell him with a serious face on and he instantly goes pale. I almost burst out laughing right then and there at his horrified expression.

"Wha- what are you talking about?"

"I know that you and May are dating."

"What? Who told you?" he chuckles uneasily and it takes everything in my will to not laugh at him. I look at May and she nods.

"I did, is it a lie because I didn't know it was." May says from next to me entering the frame. When I tell you that Sebastian went paler I mean it, his warm honey skin tone now looking like Bella's from Twilight. I couldn't take it anymore I burst out laughing May following in suit. Sebastian sighs and shakes his head, now returning to his natural color.

"It's not a lie I like you a lot."

"Good cause I like you too." She says and I 'Aww.'

"Well you guy's keep talking there, I'm gonna finish the costumes." I was about to go looking for my phone so I can listen to some music while I work, but remember that May has it. She sees my predicament and hangs up.

"Here, I'll call him from my phone." I nod saying a quick thank you before connecting my phone to my airpods and play the song 'My Girl' by the temptations while I work on the Powerpuff Girls costumes. Now that I look at them they're a bit revealing, they weren't supposed to be this revealing, but when we went to the store to buy some cropped hoodies, they didn't have anything I ended up sewing some halter bra tops, then for the skirts I did glittery tulle, with some cute belts that fit each of the Powerpuff Girls personalities. I love how they turned out.

I feel a tap on my shoulder and I turn around to see Lucas standing there with a smile on his face. I also see Cole and Chase entering the room gravitating towards Chase's bed, Chase laying down and Cole sitting at the foot of the bed.

"Hey." I smile back at him. "You wanna see your costume?"

"Yes please." I show him his costume and his eyes light up. "It looks so cool."

"It really does, Liz helped me make it she said that since you don't like ties, we should give you a black turtle-neck instead. And it turned out great."

"I'll have to thank her." He says and smiles at the thought of Lizzie thinking about him.

"Yes you do. Where is she by the way?"

"She's helping one of her teachers, her teacher had a lot on her plate so she asked Elle to help her sort out some papers." He answers from his place in Chase's desk chair.

"Elle?" I teased and he blushed bright red, realizing that he said his nickname for her out loud. But then he nods and blushes a little more. Yup they're getting together by Halloween.

AUTHOR'S NOTE

Chapter 28 ain't she a beaut? Oh my gosh another one in less than a week? What has possessed me? I don't know I just know that inspiration has struck me and the words just keep pouring out of me so enjoy!! So tiny recap. The costumes that were ordered in the last chapter were thing one and thing two costumes and they wore them to art class. How cute. Max I'm starting to hate him again ngl, he was jealous of Chase, but I mean who wouldn't be. But yeah Max was jealous of Chase and well he go in a fight with our dear Maddie. Maddie is almost done with the costumes and last but not least, Lucas has a nickname for Lizzie how CUTE!! I just can't. Bye I write about relationships but I can't get myself one lol.
