~CHAPTER 60~

SIX MONTHS LATER

"You know what I'm most excited about?"

"What?" Chase asks stroking my back.

"Going to college with Lizzie, Lucas, and Cole." I say and he kisses my head.

Four months ago we found out which colleges we would be going to. Lizzie, Cole, Lucas and I would be going to Washington State University and Chase and May would be going to NYU. I always thought that I would want to go to school back at home, but I fell in love with Washington.

It's been a few hectic months, but we got through them. I was adopted, which was just the best thing ever. I love Natasha so much, and I know she's not my birth mother, but DNA doesn't make family. I will always hold some kind of feelings for the mother I never got to know, but I'm forever grateful for the one that got to chose me.

I got my cast off. We had sent all of the information over to my hospital in Seattle and when the time came to remove my cast, we asked for Dr. Sloan. We were happy to see him and he was happy to see us. Said that we were the group of teenagers that he was never shocked by the visits.

Over spring break, Chase and I went to his house, I met his family and all of the girls were happy to meet me and they welcomed me and everything, the only one that didn't was Mr. Hudson. I don't think he liked me very much.

Also over spring break, Lucas took Lizzie away on a little trip and got down on one knee. She ran away from him and when we all got home he cornered her in the room, got down on one knee and gave her a promise ring. It was a really cute moment.

My poor Cole, liked the girl from his AP Bio class, until he found out that she has a boyfriend. It didn't bother him much. I consoled him and told him that way better girls were waiting for him out there, that it would take nothing before one of the snatched him up.

On the other side of crazy town my brain registered Vanessa as a human with emotions and in need of friends. We quickly because friendly acquaintances. It would still take some time before we actually because friends.

There were some triggers that followed my ass from the crash. Some of I found despicable. I'm now scared of operating vehicles with four to eighteen wheels. I'm now scared to fall asleep cause three weeks after the crash I got a nightmare. Sleep deprivation is my new best friend along with,

And now we're here, Chase and me under the same sheets, skin to skin, heart to heart, vulnerable as ever.

"Yeah?" He mumbles against my head and I nod.

"Yeah." I smile snuggling closer. "That way I won't be alone with the depressing thought of not being able to see you every single day."

"That's sweet I guess."  He says sadly making me look up at him. "I'm gonna miss you princess."

"I'm gonna miss you too, but we'll call each other every day and we'll see each other on vacations and breaks, and it'll all be over before you can even say Dr. Doofenshmirtz."

He chuckles and I smile reaching up, dragging the sheets with me. I kiss him and he smiles kissing me back equally desperate. His tongue finds its way into my mouth and he rolls us over getting on top of me. I roll my hips up making him groan and kiss down my neck. Before he can even think about reaching down between my legs, the door flies open.

Chase stops kissing me and I drop my head back on the pillow as he rolls back to his side of the bed. Too many time.

"How many times Lucas?" Chase says and Lucas rolls his eyes tapping on his watch.

"I don't care this time. We're gonna be late."

"No we're not. It's at eleven." I look at the clock and see that it's ten twenty. "Fuck! We're going to be late." I sit up really quickly the sheet falling from my chest and I accidentally flash Lucas making him make a startled sound and run out of the room.

"Once, I want to be able to have a nice morning with you once." He says as I stand up grabbing my panties, putting them on.

"We've got the nights of our future for that shit." I say rushing because I have to take a shower and do my make-up and get dressed. "Do you think May will be able to do my hair in ten minutes?" I look back at Chase and he's staring at my boobs. "Eyes!"

He looks up clearing his throat and nods. "She's May not God."

"God can't work my hair though, May does."

"Then yes a miracle can be preformed." He nods and stands up. I grab my phone and shoot May a quick text, before looking up at Chase seeing him waiting sexily with sweats on and no shirt smirking at me. "Shower?"

"We have no time." I groan wanting to say yes. God he knows how much k want to say yes.

"It's at eleven, it's ten twenty. If we each take five minutes under the shower, we can make it out of time." He says and I chuckle wanting to do bad.

He comes closer and kisses my neck. Fuck that feels good.

"We each get five?" I ask sighing.

"Mhmm." He pulls alway and tucks my hair behind my ears leaving his hands on my cheeks.

"Shit. You're coming with me."

"You betcha!" He smacks my ass and we both grab our shower things and rush out of the room.

...

"Sex?" May exclaims when we open the door to the dorm. Shit I forgot I sent her a text. The shower did not go as planned. "You stood me up for sex?"

"I'm sorry." I say and go to my dress that's hanged by the closet. I grab the underwear that I haven't packed yet, and put it on. "I got distracted."

"By dick?" May asks and I shrug.

"Just a little bit." She turns around and I put on the dress. Turning to Chase, he sees my struggle and zips me up.

"In my opinion it was worth it." He whispers in my ear and I smack his chest.

"Stop it." I turn to May and she smiles.

"Okay so what do you want for your hair?" She asks and I sit down on the chair. And she takes out a curling wand. "I'm sorry. You're getting curls."

"That's fine by me." I say and she plugs it in as I start to do my make up. I honestly wanted something simple and that's just what I would go for.

After thirty minutes I finished with my make up and May finished with my hair. In the time that it took to do my make up and hair, Lucas, Cole and Lizzie came to the dorm and helped pack

The little things that were left over. I told them that they didn't have to do that, but they did anyways. I smiled at the gesture.

I'm the ten months that I was here, I managed to somehow find the people that I want to be friends with forever. I found my people.

"Finally done." May says and I nod.

"You look gorgeous love."

"Thank Liz. You look amazing too."

"Should we head out?" Chase asks and we all nod.

"Yes please." May says and before we leave I check the time. It's now eleven twenty.

Making it all the way across campus and towards the indoor gymnasium, we opened the doors with a loud thud and all heads turned our way. It was safe to say that we are late.

"I would just like to say... we are NOT late. You guys are just really really early." Lucas states loudly and I try to hold my laugh, hiding in Chase's arms.

"Would you like to take your seat Mr. Griffin?"

"It would be my pleasure Mr. Cooper." He says and proudly walks to his chair all of us in tow.

"Thank you." Mr. Cooper says and continues with the ceremony. The ceremony was over before it even started. And soon they were calling out our names and handing us our diplomas.

"Elizabeth Cunningham."

"GO ELLE!" Lucas screamed from his chair making us all laugh.

"Lucas Griffin." Lucas stands up and walks to the stage grabbing his diploma and flipping Ms . Tomlinson the bird.

"Chase Hudson."

"GO TEDDY!" It was my turn to scream and laughed as he rolled his eyes.

"May Pierce." We all clapped and she poses so that I would take her picture.

"Maddison McKenna." I got up walking towards the stage almost falling. I blame the heels. I walk up and see Chase smiling from ear to ear. I love him so much and he doesn't know it. The world leave the slow motion and I hear the cheers. I look towards mom and she's smiling just as big as Chase, if not bigger. She looks happy.

I grab my diploma and make a funny face hearing the people who love me laugh. I walk off the stage and towards my chair.

"Cole West." We all cheer loudly and I don't think anybody else cheered as loud as we cheered for one another.

"I present to you the class of 2022." Mr. Cooper says and Avery body cheers as we toss our caps into the air and go to our friends. I rush over to Chase and everybody else, squealing.

"Hey stranger." I say and he ends down and kisses me.

"Hey back."

"We'll stop heying each other and come say hello to your favorite brother." Sebastian says and I smile. I walk over to him and hug him tight. A month after Natasha Adopted me, she Adopted Sebastian. It was a beautiful day. He loves her just as much as I do.

"Hi."

"We're proud of you Maddie." He says hugging me.

"Thank you, Seb." I smile and pull away before going over to mom.

"I did it!" I say and she nods happily. I pull her in for a hug and she hugs me back almost immediately.

"I love you so much Maddie, and I'm so proud of you." She whispers in my ear and I nod. "You're going to do great things honey."

"Thank you mom." I smile at her and go stand by Chase after I finished hugging mom.

"What do we do now?" Cole asks and I shake my head.

"I don't know."

"There are no more classes to skip." May says and I chuckle looking at Chase. He was already looking at me smiling.

"No, but seriously what do we do now?" I ask

"Finish packing?" He says and I nod.

"Ooh ooh. Do you guys want to spend the summer at our house?" Mom asks excitedly and I look at everybody who's smiling waiting for me to answer.

"She invited you guys not me." I say and then they all burst out with excitement saying yes repeatedly.

"Summer at the McKenna house." I nod and look at Chase. "Sound ritualistic enough for you?"

"Who do you guys usually sacrifice during summer?" He asks as we all start to turn to walk out of the gymnasium.

"Mostly pigs." I shrug and he laughs his dimples showing. "We love bacon."

"I mean who doesn't."

"Exactly!" We walk out and keep talking as we walk back to the dorms to finish packing then to book flights for possibly tonight

AUTHOR'S NOTE

I KNOW. I know it's short. Like really short, but it's a good one. THEY GRADUATED!! I know I said last week that that would be the last week of Rooming With Chase, but I was wrong and procrastinated so that I wouldn't have to end it. But today is the last day. I'll be posting the epilogue in a few hours. I'm excited for all of you to read it. I'm sad that this is the end, but I'm excited for my other book It All Started With A Dance. Four chapters of IASWAD are already up now and a new one will be up tomorrow. I update every Saturday.
