Blake asked, “Did that really happen? Why didn’t I know about it?”

Janice responded, “It was during your business trip. You weren’t here during that time.”

Blake thought, ‘I was away that time. I didn’t expect a cold man like him would actually defend me. It’s really a pleasant surprise.’

Blake leisurely tapped her fingers on the desk and said confidently, “Don’t worry, he wouldn’t dare cross me.”

Janice asked, “Why’s that? Does he still want you to be his assistant?”

She then grabbed her phone and went to the washroom. She sat on the toilet and texted Kevin after pondering for a while.

Blake texted, [Can you keep an eye on your new assistant? It’s obvious that she’s deliberately targeting me.]

Kevin replied, [Is she wrong? What were you doing during working hours? If you have nothing to do, find something to keep yourself busy.]
