Chapter 1050
The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning
It was from that dinner onwards that Kevin and Blakeâs relationship started to change slowly. When someone fell for another, it did not require any reason. All it took was a small excuse they found or a moment that made their heart flutter.
This moment came at a bad time, when Kevin tricked her and Mya, taking them to Southern Haven Villas to use as leverage against Madelyn. Since then, Blake began to see that her relationship with Kevin was just professional, without any special bond or affection.
However, every girlâs heart tended to gravitate toward a man much stronger than her. That made her see him in a better light, imagining him to be more wonderful than he was. But it was just an illusion.
Once the illusion broke, Blake would see that the man she liked was not as remarkable as she had thought. However, moving on from these feelings turned out to be harder than expected.
When Blake arrived in her neighborhood, she kept her head down, appearing lost and distraught. She did not even notice Liam was following her from behind. In a seamless motion, Blake opened the door to her rented house, walked in, and closed the door.
Liam looked at the closed door with his hands in his pockets and said, âGoodnight.â
Blake felt lost. She saw the clock hit midnight and looked around her 200-square-meter apartment.
Every night, she felt lonely. Her parentsâ company had given her this large place to live. The rent was only a few hundred dollars a month, and it was in a great location.
âWhatâs the use of a good apartment? Iâm still alone!â Blake thought to herself.
Blake threw the pillow in her hand away, watching as the neatly arranged items on the coffee table scattered. She watched as the water in her cup flowed steadily and said, âYouâre a disappointment, Blake!â
All her emotions drained away completely, just like that cup of water.
After a series of examinations at SereneCare Hospital, Audrey finally woke up. She heard the faint sounds from the corridor outside. It was the conversation between Kevin and her maid.
âMr. Harrison, are you leaving now? Wonât you wait for Ms. Parker to wake up?â
Kevin nodded and apologized, âItâs late and I have work tomorrow. I canât stay. Iâll visit Ms. Parker when Iâm free tomorrow.â
Audreyâs maid looked at Kevin, impressed. She said, âIâve seen many men with ulterior motives trying to get close to Ms. Parker for their own gain. But, youâre the first one who hasnât fawned over Ms.
Parker in front of her. Youâre different from those playboys. Youâre now working as an assistant at Jardin bright future, right?â
Kevin glanced at the slightly ajar door in front where a corner of a womanâs garment inadvertently revealed itself before disappearing. He said, âIâll decide myself about what to do. Good night, Ms.
Parker.â
âHe saw me.â Audrey thought.
After Kevin left, Audrey walked out of her ward. Her long black hair flowed down, and her face revealed a faint smile as she watched his disappearing figure. She said, âI knew he was different from others the first time I saw him.â
