Chapter 1115
The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning
Although Rosario had been dead for many years, she had still been able to sponsor a student. Sparing her life was the greatest kindness Zach could give her.
Kevin commented, âActually, I think itâs odd that the person behind thisâ¦â
His tone became more serious as he spoke, âDo you know whoâs behind this, Mr. Jardin? Could it be Cecilia?â
Zach stared outside thoughtfully. He said, âCecilia has grown a little stronger and now she thinks I canât do anything to her. But thereâs no rush, Iâll take back what is mine soon. What has she been doing recently?â
Kevin told him, âEvery day, Cecilia goes to work for us while trying to buy shares of other shareholders behind our backs. Besides Cecilia, the Young family should have the most shares. If the Young family and Cecilia were to team up, Iâm afraidâ¦â
Zach put out his cigarette and interrupted him, âShe said I was the one who made her this way. Sheâs getting quite ambitious, but she still isnât worthy of taking over the Jardin Corporation.â
âEven if she managed to take hold of the whole Jardin Corporation, she wouldnât be able to shake its foundations. Keep an eye on any transactions Joey makes. Once he makes a move, hand him over to the authorities,â Zach continued.
Kevin asked him, âAre we not going to interfere in her plan?â
Zach answered with his hands in his pockets, âToo many parties are involved in this. Handling it by ourselves will bring too many issues.â
Kevin nodded, âI understand, Mr. Jardin.â
Zach turned around and stared at Madelyn. Then, he asked Kevin,â
What is Blakeâs position in the company right now?â
When Kevin heard Zach mention Blake, he was shocked. He had never heard Zach even mention the name of anyone under him.
âSheâs still working by Ceciliaâs side. She refused the offer to switch positions,â Kevin replied.
Zach questioned him, âYou didnât tell her?â
Kevin answered, âDonât worry, Mr. Jardin. Iâll watch over her.â
Zach kept silent.
Madelyn, on the other hand, was stuck in a coma for two days and was awoken by the sound of furious voices. Everything looked blurry to her while her throat was in agony.
A doctor answered, âI apologize, Mr. Jardin. Mrs. Jardinâs situation is serious. Weâve tried our best to heal her, but the damage done by breathing in the harmful gasses is irreversible. It would be impossible to cure her in a few months. It requires constant care.â
Zach bellowed, âIf you canât cure her, then what use are you to this hospital? I donât care what method you use; heal her immediately.â
The nurse by Madelynâs bed saw Madelyn wake up and quickly shouted, âSheâs awake!â
Madelynâs vision was still blurry, and she could barely recognize anyone. She lay in Zachâs arms weakly. She wanted to speak, but no words would come out. She could not muster the strength to speak. Her eyes were open for half a minute before she slipped back into her coma. This happened over and over again.
Zachâs patience was growing thinner, making everyone at the hospital feel like they were walking on eggshells.
