Chapter 1185
The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning
âSo what the hell did Mr. Jardin leave in his will that could have made Cecilia have someone wound you so severely? Let me see your wounds. It hurts me every time I see it,â Blake said.
Kevin started answering her questions while trying to piece together everything that happened, âOn the day of the incident, everyone had the leisure of panicking, but I couldnât. If news of Mr. Jardinâs incident.
were to spread, this would affect the millions of employees of Jardin Corporations, both overseas and local.â
Hearing him say this, Blake noticed that all this time, sh very immature. She always complained about Kevinâs cold kept forgetting how heavy his burdens really were.
âIf it was truly for the will, it still doesnât sound right. Youâre Mr. Jardinâs most trusted right hand man, so why didnât he just tell you? What intrigues me the most is what was written on the will. Could it be an inheritance?â Blake was still observing Kevinâs expression when she asked, âDo you know exactly how rich Mr. Jardin is? Iâve always wondered.â
Kevin asked her back, âDo you really want to know?â
Blake replied defensively, âI was just curious. Besides, I know Mr.
Jardinâs rich, but I canât even begin to imagine how rich he really is.
Mr. Jardin gave Madelyn a huge, beautiful ring. It mustâve cost so many millions!â
âWeâll know when we find Madelyn, right?â Kevin said.
Blake continued, âBut, if we were able to find Madelyn, Cecilia wouldâve found her too. Then, wouldnât Madelyn be in danger? If thatâs really the case, Madelyn wouldâve been better off waiting till Mr.
Jardin wakes up.â
Kevin massaged his temples and thought, âWhat goes on in that brain of hers all the time?â
âJust get out. I want to rest,â Kevin ordered.
âItâs already so late, and youâre going to kick me out?â Blake argue She was still wearing Kevinâs pajamas. She then shamelessly crawled into Kevinâs sheets and declared, âWeâre sleeping together tonight. Iâm exhausted, too.â
Kevin was still seated in the bed. Blake poked her head out and stared at him excitedly, âArenât you going to leave some space for me? Iâm worried that Iâll hurt your wounds.â
âHow greedy,â Kevin thought as Blake flipped over to her side and quickly fell asleep. She had been busy throughout the day.
In the middle of the night, a light was still lit in the study. Kevin covered his mouth as he coughed. He held a pen in his left hand, and his handwriting was neat and tidy as he wrote on a piece of paper.
While writing, he would occasionally stare at darkness outside the study with an unreadable expression. After a while, he had filled up a whole page. At three in the morning, Kevin finally sealed the letter into a white envelope with wax.
As the day broke, Blake had a nightmare. She dreamed of Kevin leaving her without saying a word and immediately woke up with a Chapt start. When she saw Kevin by her side, Blake smiled and held onto his arm before drifting back to sleep.
