Chapter 1306
The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning
The deafening music pierced through Blakeâs eardrums as she downed drink after drink. Eventually, the last drink left her somewhat intoxicated. Everything felt surreal when she looked at the colorful lights.
Janice hurriedly took the drink from Blakeâs hand. âStop drinking. Youâve drank a lot. If you keep drinking, your body wonât be able to handle it. Itâs already late; I should take you home now.â
Blake pushed Janiceâs hands away and drunkenly babbled, âI-I donât want to go back. I have to marry Liam when I go back. I donât want to get married. I want to wait for Kevin to come back. He slept with me and promised to take responsibility!â
Janiceâs eyes widened as if she had just heard some earth-shattering news. âW-What did you say?!
You slept with Mr. Harrison? I knew you were more than just friends with him. I even asked back then why he always looked toward our direction.
Confused, she asked, âIf you like Mr. Harrison, why are you marrying Mr. Xander? Blake, what happened after you went downstairs?!â
Blake, heavily intoxicated, staggered around. She was holding onto the glass as she headed for the restroom. âWhy am I marrying Liam? I wonât tell you why. Itâs because my sister forced me.â
Janice was puzzled. âYour sister? Whoâs your sister?â
âWho else could it be? Cecilia Samford.â
âWhat?!â Janice stood stunned in place for a long time, unable to process what Blake had just said. When she saw Blake bumping into someone, she hurried forward to support her. âBlake, walk slower.â
After walking into the dark corridor leading to the restroom, Blake suddenly felt unsteady and leaned against the wall. At that moment, a hand from the darkness suddenly pulled her to a corridor without lights.
Janice asked, âBlake, where are you?â
Blake responded, âIâ¦â
Janice shouted anxiously. She thought, âSheâd just turned the corner. How could she have disappeared so quickly?â
Before Blake could say anything further, her mouth was covered by someoneâs hand. Then, she suddenly leaned against the strange manâs chest. She could not see his face clearly; it was as if she had fallen unconscious.
With a deep and intense gaze, the man in black clothes looked down at the defenseless Blake in his arms On a narrow balcony with bar graffiti and an abandoned couch, Blake leaned on the manâs shoulder. She placed her hand in his palm. âHey, you smell so good! This scent of yours is like that of my deceased ex husband.â
Blake reached out to caress his face with both hands.
The man said, âPut your hands down. Someone will take you away soon.â
âI donât want to leave, and I wonât put my hands down. I want you to stay here with me,â Blake responded She squinted, her vision blurry, her body exuding a strong smell of alcohol that lingered. She stared at the man carefully for half a minute before smiling and saying, âKevin, you jerk. When are you coming back? If you donât come back soon, Iâll have to marry someone else.â
At that moment, Janiceâs anxious voice came from downstairs. âMr.
Xander, Blake disappeared here. I lost her for a moment, and then she went missing.â
Liam responded, âLetâs split up and look for her. Call me if you have any news about her.â
âOkay.â Janice was very worried, so she called Liam. She worked in the secretarial department and had many senior employeesâ phone numbers on her phone. That was how she found Liamâs phone number.
Fortunately, he answered her call. Otherwise, she would not be able to explain losing Blake to him.
âLet go!â the man said.
