Chapter 1308
The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning
Kevin said, âDonât tell Blake Iâm back.
Janice looked at the woman beside the black car. She thought the woman looked familiar like she had seen her somewhere before. âMr.
Harrison, are you planning to return to the company?â
Kevin responded, âI have my plans. Just mind your own business.â
After Kevin left, Janice watched as he hugged the woman and got into the car. She pondered, âMr. Harrison is back, but Blake is going to marry Mr. Xander. And now, Mr.
Harrison has someone he likes. If Blake knows about this, sheâll surely be devastated.â
As Blake was carried away by Liam, she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her stomach. She frowned. âIt hurts. My stomach hurts so much.â
Liam was rushing to the hospital. Thankfully, they arrived in time, or else the consequences would be dire Blakeâs private part was bleeding as she was taken to the operating table. An hour later, she was finally transferred to a regular ward, still unconscious. The doctor scolded Liam, âHow can you, as her husband, not take good care of her? Sheâs been pregnant for so long, and you didnât even know?
âAnd you even let her drink alcohol!â
Liam pursed his lips tightly. His eyes were filled with worry. âHow is she now?â
The doctor responded, âThe child is safe now. Luckily, she was brought here in time. If thereâs a next time, Iâm telling you, the child.
canât be saved.â
Liam replied, âAll right, thank you.â
After the doctor and nurses left, Blake, who had changed into a new set of clothes, said, âK-Kevin⦠I feel so uncomfortable.â
Liam was holding a towel, about to wipe her face. But he paused for a while when he heard her murmuring uncomfortably on the bed. He quickly turned calm again. âBlake, youâll be fine soon.
âIâm sorry for not taking good care of you.â
As Blake lifted her hand that had the IV drip on the back, Liam quickly tried to restrain her. But the next moment, his hand was tightly gripped. Blake said, âKevin, I donât want to get marriedâ¦
âI donât want to marry Liam.â
Liam seemed to have already known this was what Blake felt. The pain on his face was only fleeting. He smiled, suppressing the pain in his eyes. âBlake, itâs fine. No matter how long it takes, Iâll make you gradually like me.
âJust like me a little more every day, okay? As time passes, youâll only like me in the future.â
His voice was very soft, quickly calming the restless Blake like a magical spell.
After the drip was finished, Liam brought Blake back to their nearby apartment in the early hours.
When she woke up, she felt dizzy and disoriented. Lying on the bed, she looked at Liam with a blurred vision. He said, âHave a good sleep.
Youâll feel better tomorrow.â
After turning off the lights, leaving only a bedside lamp illuminating the room, Blake suddenly got up from the bed and tightly hugged Liam, who was about to leave. âDonât go. I donât want to sleep alone.
Can you stay and accompany me?â
âBlake, youâre drunk.â Liamâs voice remained calm.
âIâm⦠not drunk. Iâm not drunk at all.
It was three in the morning, and the sky was pitch black.
Liam slowly turned around as he felt movement behind him.
Suddenly, everything went black before him, and he felt a warm sensation on his lips, overwhelming his senses. His pupils widened in shock. He was confused and stunned in place.
He pushed Blake away and said, âBlake, do you know what youâre doing?â
They could not see each otherâs faces clearly in the dimly lit room. They could only hear each otherâs suppressed breaths. Blake smiled as she moved away from his lips. She touched him with her fingers.
and said. âHey, handsome. Who are you? Youâre so good-looking! Do you want to be my husband?
âIf only I didnât like Kevin, Iâd take you away.â
Liam pondered, âWill you only like me when you completely lose him?â
