Chapter 1320
The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning
Blake had no bridesmaids, so she returned to the hotel room alone.
As she stepped out of the elevator and was ready to use the room key card in her hand to swipe and enter the room, she suddenly saw a figure appear from the corner of her eye.
She stopped her action and looked at the person who had left the wedding earlier.
At that moment, Blake felt her breath catch, but it was only fleeting.
She then quickly regained her composure and averted her gaze. She asked, âDidnât you leave? Why are you still here?â
Kevin replied, âCongratulations.â
Upon hearing his congratulations, Blake felt a mix of amusement and discomfort. âThereâs nothing to congratulate. If anything, I should.
congratulate you. Youâre soon to be the mayorâs son-in-law. In the future, we wonât belong in the same social class anymore.
âIâm tired and came back to rest. You should leave now before Liam comes up and sees you here.
âDonât look for me again. I donât want him to misunderstand.â
Kevin responded, âAudrey and I⦠Itâs not what you think.â
âShut up!â Blake suddenly became emotional. She turned and walked to Kevin and stared at him. âSo, youâre trying to explain it to me now?
Kevin, where were you before I married Liam? Huh?
âI texted you, but you didnât reply. Cecilia said you were dead. Do you dead, Iâd die with you. Iâve texted you on the phone that marrying Liam was just a temporary measure.
But what about you? You ignored me!
âKevin, not everything can be salvaged by waiting for things to happen. and then regretting or explaining your reasons.
âWhatever your explanation is now, donât want to hear a single word of it anymore. If we missed the chance, then itâs gone. From now on, Iâll spend my life with Liam. Please stop disturbing my life anymore.â
Kevin wanted to say something, but he stopped. He pressed his lips firmly. In the quiet corridor, dim lights shone on his melancholic face.
âOkay,â he said.
Kevin turned around. Instead of taking the elevator, he headed for the emergency exit and walked down the stairs to leave.
Blake clenched her fists as she watched him leave, but she did not chase after him.
A suited bodyguard quietly left from the shadows. When he reached the second floor using the elevator, he whispered something in Liamâs ear.
Liam then waved his hand. His expression was still calm, showing little emotion.
Apart from Blakeâs and Liamâs relatives, there were also many of Julianâs friends from the political circle. Liam had politely greeted all of them.
Blake did not drink. Sitting in the well-decorated bridal chamber, she emotionlessly wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes. She she heard unsteady footsteps approaching.
With a click sound, the door opened. As soon as she saw Liam, she went forward to support his intoxicated self. She asked, âWhy did you drink so much?â
Blake helped Liam onto the bed. He hugged her waist and said, â
Blake, weâre finally married. Iâm so happy.â
Blake lowered her head, smiling at him. âSilly. Youâve drunk so much.
Quickly wash up and go to sleep. Itâs getting late.â
She was then pulled onto the bed. Liam turned over and started kissing her. His kiss was gentle and captivating.
His breath lingered heavily on Blakeâs nose. âCan we do it?â
Blake replied, âYes.â
When the room lights were switched off, Blakeâs clothes started being undone. The only light source was the light shining in from outside.
through the floor-to-ceiling window.
