Chapter 361
The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning
The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning By Max Charming chapter 361 Madelyn thought, âIf this goes on, not only will Forrest not have the mood to listen to me, but Iâll also be affected.â
After she left the library, she pondered again, âWould he bring his girlfriend everywhere from now on? I really donât know what heâs thinking. I canât understand how men think.â
Without Ethan around, Madelynâs day was monotonous. Time passed very quickly. Madelyn packed her backpack after the last class ended. As she was about to leave, Jadie suddenly walked to her, âMadelyn, are you free? Zach and I havenât had a meal with you in a long time. Letâs go back and eat together tonight.
âIâll cook. I promise youâll love it. Rosario had taught me a lot about cooking.â Madelyn rejected, âI have class later. So, I canât come with you.â
Jadie asked, âClass? Special math class? Madelyn answered, âYes.â Jadie probed, âWhy donât you just join the Math Olympiad training class like back then?â
Madelyn pursed her lips. As soon as she was about to respond, Yvonne came over and sneered at Jadie, âYouâre really dumb. I still remember who got the last place for the test today. Oh, itâs you.
âOnly Madelyn would care about friendship and go to the special math class just to allow you to join the Math Olympiad training class. Yet, you have the audacity to ask.â
Jadie looked calm. She smiled without responding. Madelyn put on her backpack and defended Jadie, âI go to the special math class because I can rank first there. Thatâs the only reason I attend that class.â
Yvonne smiled as she said, âMadelyn, you care about ranking now?â The unfriendliness in Yvonneâs eyes vanished when she looked at Madelyn.
Madelyn looked at the other people who were still in the class. One of them was a shy, quiet guy. He was wearing a pair of thick glasses. He was slightly over six feet and looked quite handsome. His name was Kennedy Johnson. He was the best student in Ventrocloud High School in their grade. He was also the student that Madelyn wanted to surpass.
Madelyn said, âBeing the first in our grade sounds pretty good. But thatâs not my only goal.â Her goal this year was to get first place in the Math Olympiad competition.
The other six people still in the class were all elites in the Math Olympiad training class. They were also the top students in the school.
One of Kennedyâs good friends, Lem Billing, put his hand on Kennedyâs shoulder, âKen, it seems like you have to defend your first place from now on. My ranking was always just right behind you. But now, my second place has been taken away. Iâm so sad!
âAlthough weâre separated by one person, it feels like weâre so far apart. Kennedy calmly pushed Lem away before walking to Madelyn, âIâll see you in the Math Olympiad competition then.â Madelyn nodded, âSure.â
After that, Kennedy left the classroom. Lemâs voice could still be heard outside the classroom, âDo you think our school will produce a top scorer in arts and sciences in Ventropolis this year? I remember last year or the year before, both top scorers in arts and science were from Ventropolis High School.â
Kennedy answered, âIâm not sure. Weâll only know after the exams.â Lem continued, âAnyway, it wonât be me. If thereâs one, itâll either be you or Madelyn.â
Madelyn waved at Jadie, âIâll leave now. Hankâs teaching style was similar to Albertâs. Sometimes, he would teach some more profound questions on a whim. However, these questions mostly involved arithmetic approaches.
Madelyn had a very tight study schedule. She almost had no time to rest. And certainly, she had no time to think about anything else.
Ethan would message her every day to remind her to have her meals and take her medicine. Actually, her body was almost fully recovered.
Ethan was at a venue in Marisburg drinking with a few influential figures from the business world. Most of the people there gathered around Ethan and exchanged business cards with each other. The target of most of them was the Arnold Corporation. Everyone could see Ethanâs achievements.
