Chapter 460
The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning
Madelyn thought, âEthan not being able to let go of Donna is just like Zach; he couldnât let go of Jadie even after she died in my past life.
âI thought Ethan would get back with Donna. Why did he come to find me in the middle of the night?
Heâs always unpredictable⦠just like Zach.
Madelyn was only eighteen years old now. But she was living her second life, so she was very mature.
At four twentyâsix in the morning, in the dimly lit study, Zachâs eyes were extremely cold as he watched the surveillance footage. At this moment, he was like a lurking snake in the shadows. He made the atmosphere in the entire study very chilly.
He grabbed the cup nearby and violently threw it at the door. The coffee slowly dripped down. The shattered pieces of the cup were on the floor.
The sound of the cup shattering was as loud as the raging storm outside. The raindrops pattered against the windows. The sudden lightning bolt in the sky cast a shadow on half of Zachâs face. He looked very cold and terrifying.
Jadie heard the loud sound and immediately opened the study door, âZach!â
The light from the computer screen was shining on Zachâs face. When Jadie saw the look on his face, she was frightened. She asked, âWhat happened? I heardâ¦â
âGet out!â Zachâs voice was low. He tried to suppress his anger.
Jadie worriedly took a step closer, âIâm just worried about you.â
Zach bellowed, âDonât you understand what I said? Let me repeat myself. You arenât allowed to get near the study without my permission!â
Jadie clenched her fists so tightly that her fingertips turned white, âIâI got it.â
She was frustrated and shed tears. She then turned around and walked out before forcefully closing the study door as if venting her emotions.
Right at that moment, the phone on the desk rang and vibrated.
When Zach saw the phone number, he grabbed his phone and walked to the floorâtoâceiling window.
He stood upright, answering the call with another hand in his pocket. He quietly waited for the other person to speak.
He then heard a hysterical scream, âEthan has gone back! He mustâve gone to find her. You have to figure something out. You must think fast⦠Ethan is mine! Heâs mine!â
Zach took out a cigarette and lit it in the darkness. The smoke curled up in the air. He emotionlessly said, âIf you want me to do something for you, you must pay a price or an equivalent exchange. What can you offer me?â
It seemed like he expected this person to call him.
The other person said, âGive me a price. Iâll pay any amount of money you want!â
Zach exhaled thick smoke, âIâm not interested in money.â
The other person asked, âWhat do you want then?â
Zach answered, âWhat I want is quite simple. It just depends on whether youâre willing to or not.â
The other person said hurriedly, âOkay. Iâll give you anything as long as you help me.â
Zach asked, âEven your life?â The three words were so menacing that they resembled a demon from hell.
