Chapter 570
The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning
The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 570 âBut why should he? Heâs my child. I gave birth to him. Why should I let her benefit from him? I wonât let them get their way, even if it costs me my life,â thought Donna.
One of the nurses in the hallway heard Donnaâs heart-wrenching cries and thought, âHow bone-chilling.
She might be a lunatic. If she werenât someone Mr. Arnold had brought over, we wouldâve called the cops.â
Meanwhile, Evelyn immediately took a cab to the hospital after she learned something had happened to Robin.
Robin initially had a cold and a fever. After that, he was suddenly diagnosed with leukemia. Fortunately, he got an early diagnosis. The hospital immediately began searching for a matching bone marrow donor.
Ethanâs bone marrow matched with Robinâs; bone marrow from a blood relative typically had a higher success rate for transplantations.
Ethan did not refuse the transplantation and agreed to the procedure that very night. The two were wheeled into the operating theater together.
Meanwhile, Donna came uninvited and waited outside the operating theater. Evelyn was incredibly anxious and kept on praying for the twoâs safety.
âRest assured, Mrs. Arnold Sr. The success rate of this procedure is high; Mr. Arnold will be fine,â said Leyton.
Evelyn replied, âDonât tell Madelyn about this yet. Let her focus on her studies while sheâs abroad.
Judging from her attitude, sheâll surely come back if she learns about this.â
âWe wonât be able to keep the child a secret if that happens. Sheâs the person Ethan cares the most about. It wasnât easy for them to get together. We canât let the outside world know a thing before the matter is completely resolved,â she thought.
Evelyn saw someone walk over. She turned to look, and her expression immediately turned icy.
âWhatâre you doing here?â
Donna stared at the red-colored indicator on the door. Evelyn did not know what Donna had gone through in the past few days, but she seemed like she had changed. Donna said, âWhy canât I come?
Robin is my son, so you donât have the right to stop me.â
Evelyn snorted coldly. Just then. Leytonâs phone started vibrating. He looked at the caller ID and left without a second thought. He went to a quiet balcony to answer the call.
âMs. Jent?â said Leyton. Madelyn was tidying up her hotel room while speaking to him on the other end of the line. She held the phone between her shoulder and cheek while putting on the duvet covers.
âMr. Spear, isnât Ethan supposed to come over? Whenâs the trip scheduled? Let me know so that I can make the arrangements.â
Leyton glanced at the closed operating theater door and said, âSorry, Ms. Jent. Mr. Arnold⦠Itâll⦠Itâll probably be a while until he goes over. Heâs handling rather tricky company affairs. But donât worry, Ms.
Jent. Heâll rush over immediately once heâs done settling the matters.â
âIs that soâ¦â Madelyn said in a slightly disappointed tone. She stopped what she was doing and sat on the bed. She continued, âTell him thereâs no need to rush over for me. Iâm fine on my own. For the past few days, Iâve familiarized myself with the roads nearby. I wonât get lost. Sorry for disturbing you this late at night.â
âNot at all, Ms. Jent,â Leyton replied. Just as Madelyn hung up, someone opened the doors to the operating theater. The procedure had ended.
