Chapter 587
The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning
The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 587 âJadie, please leave.â Madelyn spoke coldly, âEveryone, leave. My father needs rest, and you are disturbing him. She turned away, no longer paying them any attention, and uninterested in watching them keeping up their act.
âMadelynâ¦â Rosario began, her eyes filled with sorrow, somehow turning Madelyn into the villain, as if she had done something unforgivable.
âOut!â Madelyn no longer wanted to see them. Jadie pressed her lips together,â Rosario, we should leave.â
After Rosario was helped out of the room by Jadie, Zach closed the door. Jadie didnât know what had transpired between Rosario and Madelyn. The old Madelyn had regarded Rosario as family, while now, she treated Rosario like an enemy.
âZach, what happened between Rosario and Madelyn?â Jadie asked, puzzled. Zachâs gaze was icy as it landed on Rosario, âIn the future, donât seek her out without my permission. If you wish to stay at the Jent residence, do what youâre supposed to do.â
Rosario, tears streaming down her face, nodded faintly. With a weary expression, she said, âMr. Jardin, I will spend my entire life at the Jent residence atoning to Madelyn.â
Watching the slumped, retreating figure, Jadie asked, âZach, whatâs going on with Madelyn and Rosario? Are you hiding something from me?â
Ever since Rosario had been hospitalized, Jadie sensed something was off. During Rosarioâs extended stay at the hospital, Madelyn hadnât visited once. Back then, in the hospital corridor, Madelyn had ignored Rosario, departing without a second glance.
âItâs not your concern. Itâs getting late; Iâll take you back to the apartment.â
âI wonât leave. Where you go, Iâll follow. Please donât leave meâ¦â Jadie pleaded, her eyes filled with sadness as she held onto Zachâs arm tightly. Zachâs response was firm this time, â The current situation isnât suitable for you to stay here.â
âWhy? Is there something Iâm not aware of? I used to live here, right? Madelynâs looking after Mr. Jent.
I can help too. Think of it as a way for me to give back for all heâs done. Canât you let me stay, please?â
âNo room for negotiation.â With a firm hand, Zach gently ushered her to his car and drove her to his apartment in Grand Court.
After dropping off Jadie, Zach returned to the Jent residence. The servant was taking Madelynâs untouched dinner back to the kitchen. Zach asked, âShe didnât eat anything?â
The servant nodded nervously, afraid of making a mistake and getting dismissed. She explained, âMiss Jent ate breakfast, but nothing else. I tried to give her food, but she said she wasnât hungry.â
Zach furrowed his brow without showing much emotion. âPrepare some pastina for her. Have it ready when she wants it.â
âOkay, Mr. Jardin.â
As Zach headed upstairs, he saw Madelyn coming down from the third floor. She looked like she just had a shower, with wet hair tips. She had on light pajamas and carried a book and a thin blanket.
Madelynâs intentions were quite clear. She walked by Zach like he wasnât there. But Zach quickly grabbed her hand. âGo back upstairs,â he said, looking right at her.
âFather shouldnât be left alone,â she said with a distant look that she always had since she came back.
âYou should sleep and not worry about me.â
