“There’s nothing I need, Zach, I want to go back!” Madelyn had never enjoyed going out.

Zach coaxed her patiently, “I’ll take you back home once we’re done shopping.”

They took the elevator to the eighth floor, where all the furniture stores were located.

Madelyn looked back at him but showed no sign of happiness. “You’re the one who wanted to come here. Choose for yourself.”

The manager put on a smile and pretended that he had heard nothing.

Madelyn gritted her teeth and they spent nearly an hour shopping before purchasing everything they needed. What puzzled her most was that Zach also bought a custom–made pink sola.

After buying the furniture, Madelyn said, “I want to go back now. I’m tired and need some rest.”

Zach looked at his watch. “It’s still early.”

Madelyn felt like she was just here to entertain him.

Then, for some reason, he brought Madelyn to a women’s clothing store.
