Chapter 917
The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning
Ceciliaâs pupils instantly widened. When she saw Fred wanting to pull the trigger, she finally felt the full extent of his sinister malice.
âNo, you canât do this. Fred, you canât kill me!â
In the Ventropolis Prison, even the worst criminals entering could not leave alive.
Suddenly, someone knocked on the door.
âMr. Turner, somethingâs wrong with Ms. Harper.â
Fred patted Ceciliaâs face with a cold and sinister smile. âIf you ever try to pull something like this again, Iâll show you how it feels like to be used by twenty men at the same time.â
Mya curled up on the sofa in pain as her tears dampened the pillow. âDoctor, is my baby going to die?
âIt hurts so much!â
Fred hurriedly came down from upstairs. His military boots tapped on the ground, creating the sound of hasty footsteps. His eyes were filled with a hint of worry as he asked, âWhatâs going on? What baby?â
Mya held the pillow against her stomach. She lifted her head, and her eyelashes were soaked in tears.
âFred, my stomach hurts.
Fred sat down on the sofa and Mya instinctively lay on his lap.
âWhere does it hurt?â
Mya grabbed his hand and placed it on her round belly, which was filled with the undigested food she had earlier. âHere,â she told Fred.
Fred shifted his gaze to the doctor and asked, âHow is she?â
âMr. Turner, may I have a word?â
Fred comforted Mya. âHold on. Youâll be fine soon.â
Then, they walked to the side.
The doctor told Fred, âI found that this young lady not only has some endocrine disorders and irregular menstruation, but also a history of head injuries. I checked her past medical records and found that she suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder. She seems to have previously been traumatized by some severe physical or mental coercion, resulting in this mental illness. She may be fine under normal circumstances if sheâs not provoked, but if triggered, it could lead to life-threatening consequences.â
Fredâs expression darkened, as a hunt of indescribable ferocity appeared on his face. âWhat about the child?â
The doctor shook his head. âFor now, I havenât found any signs of Ms. Harper being pregnant. The morning sickness she experienced earlier was probably just caused by overeating.â
âI see. Prescribe some medicine for her then.â
âSure, Mr. Turner.â
After the doctor left, Mya crawled toward Fred when she saw him approaching her. âFred, is my baby gone? I miss home already. Can you take me back?â
âTake the medicine first,â Fred said.
One of the female servants handed Fred the medicine. Fred took it and fed her the medicine. After that, Mya drank a large glass of warm water which made her feel a little better.
âFred, when is Madelyn coming over to visit me?â
