Capítulo 946
The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning
Madelynâs return to the studio surprised Clement.
Everyone was captivated by her looks when she suddenly came into the studio. She looked very elegant, and she exuded a unique aura, looking gorgeous and fair. People there could not help but stare at Madelyn.
Clement and Dorian saw Madelyn as soon as they walked out of the conference room after finishing the meeting. Coincidentally, the receptionist was approaching them.
Clement raised his hand to interrupt the receptionist and said, âItâs okay, I know her.â
Madelyn was quickly invited into the guest room. Dorian poured a cup of warm water and placed it in front of her, âI thought youâd never come back!â
Clement sat on the sofa next to Madelyn, maintaining a distance. Madelyn looked around the studio, âIâm Prof. Monetâs student. How could I not come back when all of you are here? Whereâs the professor?â
Clement adjusted his glasses, âProf. Monet is still taking on substitute teaching at the school as usual.
Itâs been so long since youâve been here. I bet you wouldnât have expected thereâs a new person in charge here now, and you definitely wouldnât guess who it is!â
Madelyn noticed a group of people outside the glass window peeking in. Dorian saw her gaze. He then grabbed the remote control on the tea table and closed the blinds, âTheyâre all our juniors. Some of them have worked here for two to three years while some have just graduated and have only been working for less than a year.â
Madelyn felt somewhat sad as she said, âTimeâs passed so quickly. Four years have gone by in the blink of an eye. Back then, I was the youngest junior here. Now the studioâs thriving and there are so many people working here. I bet that relieves a lot of pressure for you two.â
Clement chuckled, âThey donât do much, but itâs fine. Itâs mainly thanks to you. Without your continuous help coordinating with our clients, weâd surely suffer a lot.â
Dorian chimed in, âThatâs right! Watching the small team that started with just three or four of us grow into a studio with about twenty people was really touching!â
Madelyn asked, âWhereâs Jane? Why isnât she here?â
When Jane was mentioned, Clement and Dorian exchanged glances. Dorian answered, âShe wasnât happy about being removed from the position of studio head. Sheâs already left!â
Clement said, âI heard sheâs now the head of the design department at Jardin Corporation. Her monthly salary is several tens of times higher than ours. But speaking of Jardin Corporation⦠Madelyn, isnât the CEO of Jardin Corporation your brother?â
Madelynâs tone was cold as she denied it, âI have no connection with Jardin Corporation. Hay⦠my father is gone. Azure Corporation is now being managed by Zach. Iâm not sure about the rest.â
Dorian quickly sensed that something was not right with Madelyn. He immediately changed the topic, âLetâs not talk about this today. Since youâre here and our team just got a new project, you can go take a look at it and see what you think!â
Their meeting which started at three forty-three in the afternoon ended around five oâclock in the evening. Clement knew that Madelyn preferred a quiet environment, so he arranged a new office specially for her.
As Madelyn put down her bag, Clement stood outside the office door and asked, âHow long do you plan to stay here this time? If youâre facing some difficulties, you can tell me. Maybe I can help you with something.â
Madelyn was wiping the table with a tissue. She stopped for a moment before quickly reacting, âI wonât leave this time. Iâll stay with you until the end of the year. Iâll go to Marisburg after that.â
It was a two-story studio, and her office was on the second floor. She looked at the snow through the floor-to-ceiling window, noticing that the sky had darkened quickly.
Madelyn had hardly eaten anything since she left the villa. She heard someone push the door open while still looking at the snow outside the window. She had almost forgotten how much it had snowed in Ventropolis this year.
Clement said, âTake a break. Stop working and eat something already.â
