Chapter 977
The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning
The commotion upstairs quickly led to Myaâs screams and the sound of something shattering into pieces. In her room, Mya had accidentally broken a vase, one that held the flowers Madelyn had given her during a hospital visit. Mya had been taking care of them, ensuring they did not wither. Now, in despair, Mya sat on the floor, sobbing, holding the wilted flowers..
Fredâs men swiftly carried Mya downstairs taking advantage of the chaos. In a state of confusion, Mya cried for help, âCall the police⦠I want to report them. Theyâve broken my flowers.â
Blake was stunned by Myaâs reaction and said, âMya, what are you doing? You should be worried about yourself, not the flowers!â
As Mya was brought downstairs, seeing Fred seemed to snap her back to reality. She recoiled, crying out, âHeâs a bad man. Blake, help me! I donât want to see this bad person again.â
Grace was helpless and distraught. She could only watch as Mya was taken away. Grace tried to stop them but was pushed aside, falling to the ground.
Mya sobbed and pleaded, âDonât push my mom⦠please donâtâ¦'â
II Mya was brought before Fred, but she refused to look at him. All she wanted was to check on her mother. Fredâs icy voice stopped Mya, âWhere do you think youâre going?â
Mya pushed the formidable man in a burst of defiance and yelled, âYouâre a jerk! Your men pushed my mom! I hate you! Leave my house, I never want to see you again!â
Though Mya pushed Fred, he remained unshaken, his expression unwavering. He observed her teary eyes and apparent fear.
âI hate you the most, just like Madelynâs brother,â Mya cried, running to Grace. âMom, are you hurt? Let me take a look at you.â
Grace comforted Mya with tears in her eyes and said, âItâs okay, Mya. Iâm fine, donât cry.â
âSorry, Mom⦠I should have known he would hurt you. I wonât be his friend anymore,â Mya sobbed, her tears flowing freely.
Suddenly, Mya confronted Fred. Blake was too late to intervene. She watched in horror as Mya, biting down hard, sunk her teeth into Fredâs arm and glared at him with resentment as she observed his expression. Blake watched, fearful of Fredâs reaction. She thought, âThis is bad.â
The astonishment was clear on Rileyâs face, who was beside Fred. Riley wanted to intervene but was stopped by Fred.
Fredâs face darkened. He tried to contain his anger but was visibly affected by Myaâs audacious move.
âYouâve bitten enough,â Fred said coldly. No one had ever dared to act like this with him before.
Despite Myaâs fierce bite, Fred did not show any outward anger. Instead, he let her down and wiped away a tear with a huff, turning to leave.
âHer mental state is more fragile than I had realized.â Fred thought.
