Chapter 32

Rainbow Falls (32)

Blue Moon (gxg)

We started the car-ride towards the waterfall, Bella put on the radio and we sang at the top of our lungs along the summer playlist.

I have never felt more free than this.

I turned towards her as the playlist was changing its hits.

"Tell me about your College years..." I said turning down the volume.

Bella smiled sweetly as she started to speak.

She told me that she had won a scholarship, which helped her a lot.

She had graduated from Berkeley a year ago with a law degree, although she didn't tell me I was sure with an excellent grade.

In college she had made friends with a group of 3-4 girls and she was happy about it.

I was listening hypnotized as I got lost in her calm, confident tone of voice.

I could clearly see from the way she spoke that she was driven by an incredible passion.

In that moment I realized how different we were from a certain point of view: she is an extremely positive and hopeful person, even in challenging situations.

On the other hand, I am an helpless pessimistic person.

I generally sees life from a negative perspective and expects unfavorable outcomes.

We have the same wounds.

It's like we had known each other since forever.

I can't help this deep unexplainable connection.

But it's like she is the sun and I am the moon.

What if I don't measure up?

This thought haunts me.

"I spoke too much and now I can't even ask you why you choose to study English literature, Ellie..."

"I like listening to you. Don't worry, we'll have time for that..." I smiled.

That's still an open wound for me.

I was glad I still have some time to process it before telling her.

We eventually reached the park where the waterfall was.

Bella and I got out of the car and looked over a big map marking that the waterfall was in the middle of the park.

I laughed. "Bella... what if we get lost in there?"

"That wouldn't be the end of the world, sweetheart. Just you and me..." She winked at me.

I blushed.

We slowly crossed the path, immersing ourselves in the nature.

Around us only the forest with plants, tall trees and flowers.

I had never seen anything so beautiful.

Bella quickly descended the stairs and stood at the end of them smiling smugly.

"What are you doing?!" I asked her.

"I want to take some pictures, Ellie! Just keep walking!" She exclaimed in return.

I laughed embarrassed.

I was not used to someone taking photos of me as I would always find a flaw in my photos...

I laughed at some funny faces Bella sent me from downstairs while she was taking pictures of me.

"Is this enough?" I huffed hiding an embarrassed smile.

"Yes..." She said raising her eyebrows at me.

"Perfect." She added with a grin.

Bella showed me the photos.

I marveled at that vision, at my vision...

I had never seen myself so smiling and happy than that.

"You look gorgeous." Bella affirmed, smiling.

"Thank you." I said as I looked straight into her eyes.

She probably didn't know I was referring to something else.

I was happy because of her. Because she makes me feel this way.

When we had reached a beautiful spot with flowers and various lush plants, I took my phone out of my bag and winked at her.

"It's your turn, now..."

I took like twenty pictures of her.

I couldn't stop... her body is driving me... crazy.

And the way she is so confident and relaxed...

"You're so beautiful..." I whispered, blushing.

Bella burst into an embarrassed smile.

"Come closer to me, silly..." I added.

I placed the phone vertically, set the internal camera and brought my face close to hers.

Bella tightened her arm around my neck.

I took a series of selfies.

We made funny faces and laughed like little girls.

At one point I felt the urgency of kissing her and taking a picture of it.

But I froze instantly.

What if Joe looked at my phone?

I still can't get rid of him.

"What's going on?" Bella asked seeing me suddenly becoming thoughtful.

"Nothing." I answered smiling, "I'm sending you these photos..."

Bella squeezed my hand.

"We look very good together. Don't you agree?" She smiled in my direction with her usual confidence.

I nodded blushing.

~

We were now immersed in the forest but suddenly a glimpse of light opened up among the trees.

"This is it..." Bella whispered.

We took the last few steps and finally there it was... in front of us...

The waterfall– cascading down straight to a considerable height.

"Oh, my, God." I exclaimed.

I was at loss of words.

I couldn't express my disbelief.

"Yeah, it's wonderful..." Bella laughed.

She was astonished as I was.

"I just remembered I forget to tell you something..." I whispered smiling.

"Go on..."

"These waterfalls are called: Rainbow Falls..."

"Is that so...?" Bella whispered teasing.

She caressed my hair and kissed my neck, giving me chills.

"No way... Ellie, look..." Bella said pointing to a group of people bathing under the waterfall.

I shook my head at her laughing: "You don't want to..."

"Well, of course."

~

She doesn't need to say it twice... we immediately went down to reach that natural "pool" the waterfall had created below its.

It was so much larger than I had imagined and the water was a deep blue.

It was incredible to see.

Bella placed her bag on the ground as she was already undressing herself.

I was mesmerized by the sight of her body: her long legs, her flat belly and the way her back arched gently back and forth as she was taking off her top.

Her skin is soft and even-toned.

Her teardrop-shaped breast complements the natural curves of her gorgeous body...

Bella winked smugly in my direction, said nothing and ran towards the water.

"You have to come in, Ellie! If you don't– I swear I'll come get you!" She exclaimed.

I laughed.

"I'll give you five seconds and then I'll come and get you!" She laughed in satisfaction.

I raised a hand in a surrender way: "Okey! Okey! Coming!"

I quickly took off my clothes because there was a real risk that she would really come for me...

When I touched the water I widened my eyes in her direction.

"Oh, my... It's freezing, Bella!"

She burst out laughing.

"How did you do that?"

She shrugged her shoulders: "I don't know... I just did it, without thinking about it."

I laughed nervously as I took a step back.

"I said don't think about it! Jump in!" She encouraged me.

I was still firm in my position.

Too unsure to take that step.

"Trust me, Ellie..." Bella whispered, smiling at me with half-closed lips.

Her voice was so soft and gentle that it crossed my back in a whisper that made me shiver.

I stopped thinking about it, I smiled and jumped in.

It was such a rush of adrenaline.

I didn't feel for a moment the ice water through my skin.

Bella smiled sweetly at me, she moved closer and closer, until I felt her skin touching mine.

Her breasts pressed against mine.

Her hand slid down my back caressing my hair.

I embraced her, clinging to her body, my heart was pounding, hers too.

"See? You took the step..." Bella whispered against my neck.

"You made me do it..." I smiled sweetly.

The drops of water falling from above the waterfall hit our foreheads and flowed across our cheeks.

Through her candid skin and on her red hair...

I feel like I might sink and drown now.

"Ellie..." She begged me, sighing slowly as her lips came close to mine.

The tips of our noses touched and I felt our breaths intertwine.

We kissed.

It began slowly, with a soft touch of the lips, gradually intensifying as our tongues twisted.

Her wet body against mine...

Oh God...

"Bella..." I sighed deeply, closing my eyes.

Our lips met again in a surge of passion as the exploration of our tongues continued.

I never imagined I could ever feel this way.

My body started to shake.

The sky above us turned gray with clouds like a perfect storm.

It's like the world fades away, leaving only the intensity of that moment.
