Chapter 34

"I can't resist..." (34)

Blue Moon (gxg)

The rain that hit us barely lasted ten minutes.

Rays of the sun were weakly shining through the clouds now asa breath of cold wind touched my water-frozen body.

"Are you cold?" Bella looked at me questioningly.

I nodded.

She sought for something in her bag, a second after, she handed me her white shirt.

"Wear this."

"Are you not feeling cold too?" I asked.

"No, sweetie."

"I wouldn't want your shirt to get wet..."

"Never mind." She smiled.

"Put it on." And she stretched her arm for me to take her shirt.

"Thank you..."

I noticed that it fitted me slightly large.

I am about 5.6 feet tall, Bella is at least 5.8, that's probably why...

I  wouldn't want to give that shirt back to her.

I found myself smelling the perfume that was on it.

That spicy, hypnotic scent... that is driving me crazy...

Maybe it smelled of jasmine, almond, and a touch of vanilla.

I definitely don't want to giving it back to her.

I took the phone back my hand to checked the time: four p.m.

Time was flying by- although I didn't want to.

On the screen on my phone there was a text from Delilah, my best friend:

>

I laughed.

When I talked with Delilah on the phone yesterday, I promised her that I would tell her everything and I was not keeping that promise...

A crazy idea came to my mind... maybe now that I felt more confident about it... maybe now... I was ready...

"Bella..." I called her.

She was laying down on the beach towel, she pulled herself up.

"I wanted to ask you..."

She smiled at me in that magnetic way of hers.

"Would you like to meet someone?" And I waved the phone in my hand, smiling embarrassedly.

"Sure... who?"

"My best friend." I affirmed.

I took a deep breath:

"She knows... I mean, she knows about all this... but I trust her, one hundred percent. She would never say anything to anyone because..." I stuttered.

That makes me feel very nervous, I still don't why...

Bella raised an eyebrow and chuckled good-naturedly, "It's okay, Ellie... don't worry, I trust her too."

I was mesmerized by her words... her confidence always leaves me breathless.

"So...?" Bella called me, smiling.

Okay. I decided not to think about it anymore and started that video call.

Delilah answered immediately.

> She screamed.

I should've expect that...

I rolled my eyes, Bella burst out laughing.

>

She shrugged and smiled mischievously.

>

I laughed too this time.

>

I interrupted her before she could finish that sentence...

> And I emphasized that word.

>

> She mumbled.

I took a deep breath: >

She did not let me finish the sentence as she began nodding and making positive exclamations.

I gave Bella an embarrassed nod and she approached my phone, smiling confidently.

In my mind I was just praying that Delilah would not say anything too embarrassing to her...

> Bella exclaimed, waving a hand.

Delilah nodded slowly, she open her mouth as if she had just seen a ghost.

Her eyes sparked.

Hmm... probably she likes her...

>

>

Shit...

Bella burst out laughing, staring at me with a mischievous smile.

I swallowed, pretending like nothing happened.

> Bella winked at her.

>

Bella smiled: >

Delilah kept laughing playfully:

>

> Bella replied smiling.

I was too embarrassed to come up with an appropriate response, but I was blushing.

> Delilah screamed melting.

I have never see her like that...

>

She kept screaming excitedly.

I was blushing so hard now.

Bella burst into a teasing laugh: >

>

> I acted nonchalant but I was sweating.

Bella giggled in a teasing way.

>

Delilah exclaimed to me, amused.

I was actually screwed now...

> Bella said confidently, keeping that teasing voice of hers.

Delilah laughed: >

I hid a smile, protesting: >

Bella kissed my forehead in a reassuring way, moving me closer to her chest.

Delilah mumbled another indecipherable, cute exclamation...

I let them talk for quite some time, I was so happy for that... I never for a second regretted to do that call.

> Delilah kept giggling uncontrollably.

I rolled my eyes.

> Bella teased her.

> Delilah asked me with a satisfied grin.

I shook my head in surrender: >

We said goodbye and ended that phone call.

That was too funny, I have to admit it.

Bella grabbed my arm and gently pushed me to lay against her.

"So... how is it? You've been stalking me on instagram?" She asked right away.

I widened my eyes:

"Huh? What do you mean? I remind you that you followed me that night, Bella..."

She laughed: "Sure... just because you didn't have the courage to!"

I shrugged, feeling my cheeks turning red: "If you say so..."

"You followed me ten minutes later, isn't that a little suspicious?! Come on, Elle!"

I was screwed. She was actually right.

"Okay... knock it off!" I exclaimed playfully.

Bella burst into a satisfied laugh: "Of course not..."

I rolled my eyes pretending to be offended, Bella gently squeezed my waist leaving me soft kisses on my shoulder.

And just when I was starting to relax... she bagan to tickle me.

"Not that again..." I laughed nervously.

Bella ignored me and started to tickle my waist.

I was laughing like a little kid now.

"I still can't believe you're this ticklish..."

She grinned, with a mischievous sparkle in her eyes.

"Bella... stop!" I gasped between fits of laughter.

"You can't escape..." She whispered.

The tickling gradually blurred the line between teasing and something more intimate, as each laugh pulling us closer together.

Slowly and gently our hands and legs intertwined, until her body happened to be above mine.

My cheeks flushed from laughter and by something else... having her warm body above me.

That was somehow both sweet and... very hot...

Oh my god.

"I can't resist..." Bella whispered almost under her breath.

Did I hear right?

I was too stunned.

She slowly caressed my belly and my hips, narrowing her eyes, she was not tickling me in that area, she was just making light touches and tender gestures that made me shiver.

She swallowed hardly, she was hesitantly breathing now.

I was hypnotized and breathless... like my whole body froze for the pleasure of her gentle touches.

We both breathed ragged as we fell into a profound yet reassuring silence.

Our eyes are shining with a warm longing, as our lips parted in a light, soft smile.

I can see her breathing increased, her eyes melted.

One minute later she eventually gave up, or whatever that meant... because she suddenly stopped and let her body lay next to me... no longer above.

I did not know how to interpret that unexpected gesture, we weren't doing anything wrong... but I think we were fighting the same longing, inside of us.

"You've won the battle, but not the war..." Bella sighed as she lay on her elbows again.

I stood up slightly, noticing her indecipherable expression.

I really wanted to do something about it...

"Your best friend is amazing, by the way, I like her mood..." Bella suddenly changed the subject.

I nodded: "She really is. She is like a sister to me."

Bella smiled softly: "It's really nice what you have."

My eyes sparkled: "Delilah always stayed with me in these past years, both in my hardest and in my best times..."

Bella melted at my words: "Take care of it." She smiled again but in an elusive way.

I caressed her arm, she seemed nervous.

"You okay?" I asked.

"Yes, sweetie."

"Then why your mood suddenly darkened?"

"It's not about us..." She smiled slightly, kissing my cheek.

"The friendship you have... reminded me of me of something, I mean... someone." She pointed out.

I leaned on her shoulder.

"Someone...?" I repeated.

Interesting...

"I feel I can tell you this, if you want..." She mumbled.

"Of course, go ahead..."

I got up from her shoulder and looked into her eyes, she was still nervous somehow.

"You sure you wanna talk about it?"

"Sure. No doubt." She affirmed.

I didn't know why but my body was already tense before she started to talk.

Bella passed a hand over my shoulder, smiling slightly, then moved closer to me until she rested her head in my leg.

I could feel her long, soft red hair tickling my upper thigh.

This is suddenly leaves me breathless.

"Do I hurt you?" She asked me, slightly lifting her eyebrows.

"No..."

"Then why are you so tense?" She teased.

"I don't know..."

"Well, don't be, Ellie..." She grabbed my arm and began to leave gentle touches up to my shoulder to my hand.

I shuddered again at that contact, but she makes me calm down.

"It's about me and this person. She used to be my best friend... Lacy." She began.
