Chapter 1167
The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart (Brittany and Isaac)
Since their last encounter, Isaac had seemingly vanished off the face of the earth.
Brittany even doubted if he was still in Craneville.
After waiting a few minutes for a response and getting none, she threw caution to the wind, ignoring the possibility her phone could be tapped, and dialed Isaac's number.
It took an eternity for him to pick up.
âBri?â
Isaacâs voice was raspier than usual, as if he hadnât had a good night's sleep in ages.
âAre you okay?â Brittany whispered, lowering her voice even more.
Isaac was far from okay, but he wouldn't admit it. He stood up, stepping away from the crowd into the solitude outside, fishing a cigarette from his pocket and lighting it up before taking a deep drag, âIâm hanging in there.â
âDid you call because you missed me?â
His tone was nonchalant, shrouded in a cloud of smoke.
Brittany paused, âDid you catch the news?â
âYeah, I saw it.â It had been a long time since Isaac turned to nicotine for solace, but right now, he needed it to stay sharp, âWorried about me?â
âZakky, are you in trouble?â
Brittany countered.
Knowing he couldnât hide the truth, Isaac didnât bother to, âNoel Salter showed up in Craneville.â
âIâve been swamped, canât come see you.â
Brittany clenched her phone tighter, âThen youââ
âIâm not in any immediate danger. The royal folks wouldnât dare touch me.â Isaac's gaze fell, âHave you been sick lately?â
âNo, Iâve been in good health,â Brittany let out a sigh of relief, knowing he was safe, âAnd the babyâs been very cooperative.â
âThatâs good. If it gets naughty once it's out, Iâll be there to discipline!â
âNo way, thatâs our baby, you canât hit them!â Brittany protested, her maternal instincts kicking in.
Isaac didnât expect her to be so protective, âAlright, your call.â
Meanwhile, Noel watched Isaac from across the room, well aware of who was on the other line.
Tallulah, standing to the side, poured him a glass of water, âNoel, have some water.â
Though they were married, Tallulah still addressed him by his name.
Noel was used to it by now. He took a sip, âYouâre heading back to Imperial City tomorrow. Take charge of Grandeur Capital and keep me updated.â
Tallulah had been with Noel for years, and now as his wife, it made sense for her to oversee Grandeur Capital.
âUnderstood.â
Tallulah, in her sleek black and white suit, exuded a cool elegance, a stark contrast to her demure demeanor in bed.
Noel had had girlfriends while abroad and had been approached by numerous women upon his return, but he mostly kept his distance, preferring to avoid the hassle and finding most of them uninteresting.
Tallulah was an exception. After they got married and moved in together, their relationship took a new turn. Especially one night after a few drinks, Tallulah showed a side of her Noel had never seen, leading to an unexpected intimacy that solidified their status as a married couple.
Tallulah remained aloof, even after years with Noel, her demeanor never warming. Yet, in bed, she was surprisingly lively, occasionally leaving marks on Noelâs neck after a passionate night.
Noel, far from being ascetic, let his gaze linger on Tallulah, his Adam's apple bobbing. Dismissing the others, he signaled for her to stay.
Tallulah attempted to leave, but he held her back.
His hand, burning with desire, pulled her closer, capturing her lips in a fierce kiss that mirrored his inherent wildness.
Initially, Tallulah resisted, but soon she grew accustomed to his intensity.
She neither fought nor reciprocated.

Dazed by his proximity, Tallulah lost her usual composure, nodding slightly, âOkay, Noel.â
âWhat did you call me?â
Noel tilted her chin up, reminding her of their more intimate moments, âWhat should you call me at times like this?â
Blushing furiously, remembering their private encounters, Tallulah whispered, âMaster,â pleasing Noel immensely. He rewarded her with a gentle kiss, âGood girl.â
