Chapter 611
The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart (Brittany and Isaac)
Chapter 611 When Tanya saw that Brittany was upset, she didnât pry any further. She just stayed by her side.
Brittany cried for a long time until it was late. She wiped her tears and said to Tanya, âTanya, Iâm sorry. Iâve disturbed your rest.â
Tanya shook her head and said, âDonât say that. I watched you grow up. You and Hannah are both like my daughters. If anythingâs bothering you, you can always tell me.â
Brittany had a lot to say but couldnât get the words out.
Tanya knew her well and didnât force her to talk. She comforted Brittany and started chatting about her own health. It wasnât until Lionel came to deliver food that Brittany got up.
âLionel.â Brittany called out.
Lionel put down the meal box, looked at Brittany, and noticed her red-rimmed eyes. He frowned, âWhy have you been crying?â
âItâs nothing, just a bit upset.â Brittany replied.
Lionel figured it probably had something to do with William, so he didnât ask further.
He opened the meal box, took out a small table, prepared meal utensils for Tanya, then glanced at Brittany and said, âHannah is here too. Letâs have dinner together tonight.â
Brittany had been back home for a while but had rarely seen Lionel. She agreed.
They left the hospital together for a nearby restaurant.
Lionel, as always, didnât talk much. Most of the conversation at the table was carried by Hannah.
Halfway through, Hannah went to the restroom.
Lionel poured Brittany a glass of water, âDid you and William break up?â
âYes, because I embarrassed the Dillion family. We canât continue.â Brittany replied.
âDid you figure out what happened at the wedding?â Lionel asked.
Brittany shook her head, âNot yet.â
âIf you need help, let me know.â
Lionelâs manner was as aloof as always, but Brittany knew that that was just his personality. She picked up her glass and said, âLione!, Iâve made up my mind. Once I get custody of my child, Iâm going back to Craneville. I probably wonât come back here.â
She had lost too much there. She didnât want to return; she wanted to go back to Craneville and start over.
âChild?â Lionel was obviously not aware of that.
âThe child didnât die. Isaac saved him.â Brittany briefly explained, âI had a paternity test done; itâs confirmed that heâs my child.â
Lionel took a deep breath, âAll these years, I knew Isaac had a son. But I didnât realize that it was that child.â
âIs the Salter family willing to give you the child?â Lionel asked.
Brittany shook her head and replied, âNot yet.â
âWhatâs your plan if they donât agree to give you the child?â Lionel asked.
âIâm not sure yet.â
âIf you could get custody, that would be the best. But if you canât, youâll have to co-parent. But in that case, you wonât be able to leave Imperial City.â
Lionel said.
Clearly, Isaac revealing the existence of the child was his attempt to control Brittany.
Brittany felt even more upset hearing Lionelâs words. She didnât even have an appetite to eat.
âBut itâs not impossible to get custody.â
Brittanyâs eyes lit up with hope and she asked, âLionel, do you have a solution?â
âFive years ago, even if you and Isaac didnât officially marry, it could be considered a de facto marriage. If you can prove that heâs not responsible or capable of taking care of the child, you could possibly get custody.â
He continued, âOr the Salter family might not want to accept the child.â

After they had their fill, Lionel drove Brittany back to the hospital. Before leaving, Lionel took out a wedding invitation from his drawer,
âIâm getting married. Remember to come.â
âWhen did this happen?â
Brittany was shocked. She had been back for a while but had never heard about Lionel having a fiancée.
Lionel looked at her surprise, not seeing any regret or disappointment that he hoped to see. A chill ran through him.
Brittany truly only regarded him as a friend.
Realizing that, he chuckled, âI just decided recently. Her family is in real estate. We get along well. After our marriage, weâll be developing several projects together. Itâs kind of a merger of two families.
