The couple backed away in fright.

The man, who was previously arrogant, pulled the fat boy over and said to him, “Say sorry!”

The boy scowled and muttered an apology.

Daniel stood there, not saying a word.

Isaac gave him a cold glance, and the man slapped his own son, “Louder!”

The boy started to cry, “I’m sorry!”

His voice was loud that time, making people’s eardrums buzz.

“Mr. Salter, we’re sorry for what happened today. Can we make it up to you by treating you to dinner? Could you give us another chance?”
