Chapter 695
The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart (Brittany and Isaac)
Chapter 695 âThud!â
Isaac slammed his fist onto the office desk, and his eyes shadowed, âWhat are you implying?â
Marcel looked at him sympathetically, âYou probably havenât heard, but Noah works for Brittany.â
He clicked his tongue, âYou should ask your dear wife about this matter.â
In Isaacâs ears, it was as if something had exploded, all his senses were stripped away at that moment!
Early in the morning, Brittany had already sent Daniel off to school.
Instead of heading to the office, she returhed to the Radiant Residences.
Emily had gone out to do the groceries, and Brittany felt a bit relieved. At least she didnât have to explain to Emily why she was moving out again.
She informed Hannah Chester and her secretary to go and help her move.
After ending the call, she went back to her room to pack.
She hadnât been back at Radiant Residences for more than three months and hadnât amassed much stuff. So, it took her less than half an hour to pack everything into her suitcase.
When Hannah and the secretary arrived, they helped her pack the rest of her belongings.
As she was heading downstairs, there was a man standing in the living room.
Isaacâs eyes were bloodshot. He was still wearing the suit from the previous day. The once refined gentleman, then looked disheveled.
Hannah instinctively shielded Brittany, âLetâs go, Bri.â
Brittany looked at Isaacâs profile, her eyes narrowing, âYou two go ahead. Iâll catch up.â
Hannah was uneasy. She was afraid Isaac might have harmed Brittany.
âGo on. I can handle this,â Brittany reassured Hannah with a glance.
Hannah left with the secretary, leaving the spacious living room empty except for the two of them.
Brittany knew she couldnât hide it any longer. Her gaze was serene yet obscure.
âWhy did you do this?â Isaac stared directly at Brittany, and his eyes filled with anger, âFrom the start, did you and Joseph plan this to trap me?â
Only after meeting Marcel did Isaac realize that many things that had happened since Brittanyâs return to the country were starting to make sense.
He couldnât even imagine when Brittany began plotting her revenge, even using herself as a pawn in that game!
Brittany walked over to the couch, brewed herself a cup of coffee, and took a slow, sip, âDo you remember, when I was very young, I grew up with my grandmother?â
Isaac clenched his fists, âBecause of Grandma?â
The death of the old lady was a thorn in Brittanyâs heart, and it was the biggest obstacle between them.
Isaac knew Brittany was full of passion and determination, and she wouldnât have easily let go of that matter. He had always been trying to make amends, hoping she would give him a chance.
âAfter Grandma passed, for a long time, I considered you the most important person in my life.â
Brittany lowered her eyes, her eyelashes quivering slightly, âBut, you are not someone I can rely on. I havenât forgotten what happened five years ago, not for even a moment.â
Brittany gripped the cup tightly, recalling the imprisonment, the coercion, the loss of her child, and even the marriage that she cared about most was a sham!
She had no quarrel with the Sálter family, yet she was thrown into the sea by Leda, almost losing her life!
During those five years, she was tormented by hatred every moment!
1saac was like a machine that had been stripped of its gears, âI... Iâve always wanted to make up for what happened to Grandma.â
âWould that make a difference?â

Brittany smashed the cup in her hand. Her eyes were red as she yelled, âIsaac, that was a life! A living life! I know why you didnât tell me Ledaâs kidney matched Grandmaâs.â
Brittany walked up to him, âBecause you were afraid of me. You were afraid that I would have gone after Leda or you were afraid to expose your identity, right?â
Isaac closed his eyes, unable to respond.
His silence was no doubt the final straw that broke Brittanyâs back, âIn these five years, have you ever felt guilty?â
Isaacâs voice was hoarse, âI owe you an apology for this.â
âThen we have nothing more to say.â Brittany was clear, and she had no right to demand Isaac to trade with Leda for Grandma. She had never hoped that Isaac would make a sacrifice for that.
