CH 35

It’s over.

Only these two words remained in Shen Tiantian’s mind.

“It’s really you. I thought I recognized the wrong person.” Lu Xiaochun said with a smile, but her smile gradually turned stiff when she saw Shan Yi. “The CEO is also here…”

Lu Xiaochun blinked and her gaze slowly fell on their tightly held hands. “Uh… you two?!”

She seemed to have realized something significant.

Following her gaze, Shen Tiantian looked down and instinctively wanted to retract her hand, but Shan Yi held it tightly.

She looked at Shan Yi with a bitter expression.

Although Lu Xiaochun was not a scheming person, she couldn’t hide things, and there was a chance she might unintentionally reveal it someday.

Shan Yi felt a bit helpless. Shen Tiantian hadn’t decided to go public yet, but being in the same city, it was inevitable to run into some acquaintances.

She didn’t want to have a long-term “secret relationship.” Since they were already caught, they might as well admit it directly.

Shan Yi nodded at Lu Xiaochun. “It’s just as you saw.”

Shen Tiantian looked at her in disbelief, but she quickly understood. They were already holding hands, even if they told others they were just friends, it probably wouldn’t be convincing. She reluctantly admitted it, and the atmosphere froze for a moment. Shen Tiantian’s face showed some anxiety. “Xiaochun, you’ll keep this a secret, right?”

Although Lu Xiaochun didn’t understand why Shen Tiantian was afraid of being public, if she could date such an outstanding person, she would want the whole world to know. But since the person involved didn’t want others to know, she didn’t ask further and nodded in agreement.

Awkwardly clearing her throat, Lu Xiaochun wanted to ask many questions but restrained herself because Shan Yi was present. Finally, she cautiously said, “Then I won’t disturb you two. We’ll talk more at the company, okay?”

Shen Tiantian forced a smile and glanced behind her. “Did you come alone?”

“No, I came with Meng Yan,” Lu Xiaochun smiled and said, “She went to the restroom.”

Meng Yan was also from the same department as them, but they didn’t interact much outside of work. Lu Xiaochun was the type of person who could chat with anyone, and she seemed to have a good relationship with Meng Yan.

She nodded. “Then we’ll get going first.”

She was grateful that they didn’t run into each other in the baby products section; otherwise, their secret would have been exposed. Even though it would eventually be known, she still wanted to be the one to reveal it. After all, when something is said by someone else, it might not convey the exact meaning she intended.

Information can be misinterpreted as it spreads, and she disliked that feeling, regardless of it being about this particular matter or anything else.

Apart from the initial response, Shan Yi didn’t say anything. She respected Shen Tiantian’s desire to keep their relationship private and let Shen Tiantian quickly lead her away.

They entered another shop, finally escaping Lu Xiaochun’s sight completely.

Shen Tiantian let out a sigh of relief and only after a while did she think of Shan Yi. She quickly looked at her, thankfully not seeing any signs of hurt in Shan Yi’s expression. Nevertheless, Shen Tiantian couldn’t help but explain, “I just don’t want to be treated differently.”

Shan Yi fondly pinched her cheek, “I said I would respect your wishes.”

Shen Tiantian shrunk her neck, “So… are we still going to shop?”

“Of course,” Shan Yi chuckled, taking back the lead by holding her hand again. “Do you see anything you like?”

Her tone was calm, as if the small incident from before never happened.

Shen Tiantian pouted, “Nothing.”

Shan Yi smiled softly, “That’s alright. Let’s take another round; we still have time.”

Shen Tiantian nodded.

Nalan Department Store has a square structure with an empty space in the middle. Looking down from the top, the ground floor is packed with people and shops.

At the front corner, Shan Yi stopped in front of one of the counters and pointed to a pair of rings inside. “How about this one?”

The rings were simple, with a diamond set in the center, reflecting light under the spotlights. Shen Tiantian glanced at it. Compared to the dazzling and elaborate designs, this one seemed more ordinary but elegant.

“It looks pretty good,” she nodded.

After the salesperson introduced the rings, Shan Yi tried one on but didn’t make a purchase. She returned the ring to the salesperson and left, holding Shen Tiantian’s hand. Shen Tiantian felt a little strange, but since Shan Yi didn’t say anything, she didn’t ask.

The two of them went hand in hand to the sixth floor. Shen Tiantian’s eyes lit up with joy, and she subconsciously touched her stomach. After casting a glance at Shan Yi, she pulled her into a store. Shen Tiantian was dazzled by all the adorable baby clothes. She hadn’t expected baby clothes to be so cute. If it weren’t for Shan Yi being there, she would have wanted to buy everything in the entire store.

Shan Yi teased her, “The baby hasn’t been born yet, why buy so much?”

Shen Tiantian retorted, “I just want to prepare things for her.”

Shan Yi didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, so she let her go on her spree.

When they came out of the Nalan Department Store, their hands were full of shopping bags. Shen Tiantian smiled brightly. Although using Shan Yi’s card felt a little embarrassing, she felt at ease knowing that their child would have her share as well.

Looking at the street scene outside, Shen Tiantian asked, “Where are we going for the hot springs?”

“A few days ago, Shan Xu mentioned a nice hot spring resort in a neighboring city. I’ve been wanting to invite you there,” Shan Yi said, looking ahead with a slight smile on her lips.

Shen Tiantian pursed her lips and didn’t answer; she had been sulking for the past few days. Shan Yi could probably guess what she was thinking and smiled, saying, “The homestay over there is nice. We’ll stay there tonight.”

“Huh?!” Shen Tiantian’s eyes widened, and her mind couldn’t help but wander.

Shan Yi was so attractive, what if she couldn’t control herself and did something inappropriate?!

No, no, no. Now she was more afraid that Shan Yi might get carried away, especially considering how much she liked to be affectionate with her.

But she was pregnant now, so Shan Yi should behave, right?

Seeing Shen Tiantian’s blushing face, Shan Yi knew that the young woman was overthinking things again. She silently chuckled and didn’t interrupt, focusing on driving.

The journey was a bit long, and Shen Tiantian fell asleep while thinking about it. When Shan Yi woke her up, they had already arrived at the hot spring resort. Before opening the car door, she could faintly hear the sounds of birds and insects.

Shen Tiantian rubbed her face and excitedly got out of the car, taking a deep breath.

“Do you like it?” Shan Yi asked.

Shen Tiantian nodded; she really liked it.

A quick glimpse of doting affection flashed in Shan Yi’s eyes as she looked at Shen Tiantian, who blushed happily for a while, before asking, “I’ll go renew the pass, would you like to stay here and relax or come with me?”

Shen Tiantian finally managed to shift her gaze back to Shan Yi. “I want to come with you.”

Upon hearing this, Shan Yi extended her hand to her.

Shen Tiantian naturally took the hand, sweetly smiling, her face filled with contentment.

Although the resort was a bit far from the city center, it was still quite crowded. When they arrived, only one room was left.

The hot spring was connected to the room, and they could see a ten-square-meter outdoor hot spring emitting steam just by opening the floor-to-ceiling windows. It was an open-air design, with a view of the blue sky above, although the noon sun was a bit dazzling.

Shen Tiantian took off her shoes, sat on the edge, and dipped her feet into the water, feeling its temperature.

“Let’s go eat first,” Shan Yi stood by her side, and Shen Tiantian’s head leaned against her thigh as Shan Yi gently stroked her head.

Upon hearing Shan Yi’s suggestion, Shen Tiantian realized that she was a bit hungry. She looked at the time; it was almost two o’clock.

Shen Tiantian placed her hand in Shan Yi’s palm and let her pull her up. “Where are we going to eat?”

“There’s a farmhouse restaurant in the resort. Shall we try it?” Shan Yi suggested.

“Sure.”

Shen Tiantian was a homebody. Other than work, she mostly stayed at home. Since leaving the orphanage, she had never taken a leisure trip, so this relaxed day was a first for her, and it was even more special because she was with her beloved. The feeling of happiness filled her heart instantly.

She licked her slightly dry lips, and her fingertips tightened, holding Shan Yi’s hand.

The farmhouse restaurant offered freshly picked and prepared food, but considering that Shen Tiantian couldn’t wait, Shan Yi chose the pre-prepared ingredients from the owner.

After eating and drinking their fill, they returned to the room, and it was already past three o’clock. Shen Tiantian let out a yawn, and a tear formed at the corner of her eye.

“Shall we take a nap together?” Shan Yi smiled and suggested, “In the evening, we can soak in the hot spring and watch the stars.”

Watching the stars and such, it sounded so beautiful.

Shen Tiantian was looking forward to it.

She wasn’t used to sleeping in fancy clothes, so she nodded, intending to reach in and unfasten her bra. But in her peripheral vision, she noticed that Shan Yi was hugging her arms, seemingly looking at her, and her hands froze in mid-air.

Shan Yi looked at her with a playful smile. “Put on your bathrobe and sleep.”

Although they had planned for this trip, they hadn’t brought clothes to change into. Luckily, the resort provided disposable underwear, so they could wash and dry their clothes for the night.

Shen Tiantian nodded and opened the wardrobe to take out a white bathrobe, turning her back to Shan Yi to take off her top.

Shan Yi’s eyes deepened as she watched Shen Tiantian’s snow-white back, and her gaze slowly fell on the rounded buttocks. She unconsciously swallowed.

Shen Tiantian could feel the hot gaze from behind, which made her a little shy. She hastened her movements, putting on the bathrobe as quickly as possible.

She tightened the belt around her waist and turned to Shan Yi, asking, “Aren’t you changing?”

Shan Yi snapped back to reality, “I’ll change now.”

One after the other, they put on their bathrobes, facing each other and laughing as they glanced at one another.

They had booked a standard room with two floor beds, neatly covered with pure white quilts. Shan Yi crouched down and merged the two beds together.

Shen Tiantian: …

“Come up,” Shan Yi beckoned to her.

Feeling a bit tired, Shen Tiantian took off her shoes and walked over. Seeing that Shan Yi didn’t move, she blushed and pulled the blanket over herself. “I-I’m going to sleep first.”

Shan Yi replied with a sound of acknowledgement, lifting the other corner of the blanket and quickly lying down. “Together.”

Shen Tiantian was startled but not angry. After all, they had slept together last night, so it wasn’t a big deal. However, she still complained with a bit of annoyance, “You had planned this all along, haven’t you?!”

Shan Yi smiled triumphantly, hugging her waist and pulling her closer. “I did say we would sleep together, and you agreed.”

Shen Tiantian: …

“Sly.”

Shan Yi quickly kissed her lips and said, “You like this slyness too.”

Shen Tiantian pouted, “I’m going to sleep.”

“Alright, sleep then.”

Shen Tiantian really fell asleep, nestling in Shan Yi’s embrace, sleeping soundly.

It wasn’t the first time that Shan Yi had seen Shen Tiantian’s sleeping face, but she just loved looking at it, as if she could never get enough.

She didn’t know why she became so attached to Shen Tiantian, perhaps it was love at first sight when she saw those mesmerizing eyes at the wedding banquet, which might explain why she had gone into heat that day.

Shan Yi’s gaze traced down her nose slowly, settling on her lips, and then moving to her chin.

Shan Yi’s eyes were filled with adoration.

Shen Tiantian’s sleeping posture was not great, but incredibly cute. Shan Yi couldn’t resist stealing a kiss.

Just as sweet as her name.

In her slumber, Shen Tiantian was oblivious to being kissed. She simply turned over, her lips curling up slightly, seemingly having a pleasant dream.

Shan Yi smiled and pulled the adorable person into her embrace.

Her wife was just too cute, making Shan Yi unable to resist the urge to tease her a little.
