Chapter 10

Roseanna's POV (Danica's Mom)

"I'm going to take a shower sweetheart." Richard said to me and I

smiled to him with a nod as I rolled the cookie dough.

As he descended up the stairs, my face immediately turned into a

scowl.

Who the hell does he think he is?

Does he honestly think I don't know what's been going on between him

and Danica? And the balls he has to play nice about it. Son of a bitch

has another thing coming.

He probably forced her into it. My baby wouldn't fall into the antics of

men so easily unless he played her, made her blind to what he is really

doing. Bastard is sleeping with my daughter and thinks he is slick.

I've noticed how Danica and him have been acting. He's even making

my baby hate me and push me away. Well, this is the last straw. As soon

as Danica gets home, I'm throwing all my cards on the table.

The truth will come out tonight.

Richard's POV

I quickly shut the bathroom door and turned on the shower head. After

waiting a few minutes, I quietly opened the window and lifted it then

climbed out.

I needed to keep an eye on Danica and that wolf boy. I see what he's

trying to do. He's trying to take my mate away from me. Probably, I

screwed up my chances with her but that doesn't mean I can't fix it

right? Or at least try too.

As I landed on the ground, I didn't bother to take off my clothes and

just shifted into my silver/grey wolf and jetted down the street,

following Danica’s scent as quickly as I could before it was completely

gone.

Danica's POV

"Danica."

"Leave me alone let me sleep.” I mumbled as I swatted the person's

hand away.

"Danica!"

I shot up fast, only to hit my head on the rearview mirror of Aiden's car.

"Ow!" I exclaimed and rubbed my head.

Aiden chuckled and helped me out of the car while I pouted up a

storm.

"Come on. We're here." He said and entwined our fingers while we

walked by.

I watched around and notices the many houses around. It looks like

almost like a pack. Wait, a pack?

"Aiden, where are we?"

"My pack.” He said and pulled me towards a very large building.

I froze. Some Alpha's are extremely territorial and don't take well to

people from other packs being on their land, especially if they don't

know.

"Don't worry" Aiden assured me, "My Alpha knows your going to be

here. He isn't bad, trust me."

I nodded and followed close by. Some pack members who were outside

stared at us as we walked by with wide eyes and some were murmuring

things.

"The Beta has found his mate?"

"She's very pretty."

"I can't wait to see the future Beta babies!"

A bright blush Crept it's way onto my cheeks and I looked down. They

thought I was his mate, how ironic.

As we stepped up to the large building's entrance, Aiden opened the

door and let me step in first and I couldn't believe my eyes.

It was something like an auditorium I guess I could say. White and red

rose petals were scattered all over the floor as well as candles lined up

on the floor, making a lit like pathway then the little pathway ends near

a table in the center of more petals which were surrounding it.

"Aiden..." I didn't know what else to say. I felt like I had lost touch with

my brain for the minute.

God, this is amazing.

"I wanted to make this special for you Danica." He said with a smile

then kissed my hand and led me down the candle lit pathway.

"This .....is so beautiful. Oh my God..Just oh my God." I stared around

me in utter shock like if I blinked everything would disappear and I'd

wake up from a dream.

"Well, it's obvious you like it. I was afraid you wouldn't.” He said as he

pulled back a chair for me to sit.

"What girl wouldn't like this? Are you serious?" I asked as I sat down,

still feeling mesmerized.

Aiden just shrugged then took his seat across me.

"I have some food being prepared for us, it will be here in a bit."

"Alright." I said as I struggled to contain my smiling. I've never felt this

happy in forever, I so needed this.

"You dance?" He asked and I smirked as I recalled the night of my

birthday and he laughed.

“Not that kind of dance.”

I thought for a moment then shook my head. Like I said, I'd never been

on a date before or anything like that so I never took a big interest in

dancing.

"How about we try?" He asked and I bit my lip.

"I don't know Aiden. I might fall." I added with a nervous chuckle and

he rolled his eyes at me.

"Wait here." He said and swiftly got up, jogging to the other side of the

room.

Well, I guess it won't hurt to try.

As soon as I stood up, a song began to play and I felt immediately

nervous.

Aiden jogged back over to me with a smile on his face while he held

out his hand to me. I hesitantly took it and tried to calm my nerves as

he led me to the center of the room.

The beat of the music slowly began to pick up and I felt stiff as hell.

What do I do?

"Relax. Just let the music in, let it take control and let it flow." Aiden

whispered in my ear as he pulled me close to him and swayed at a mid-

fast pace with me to the beat.

"Aiden I don't know what I'm-"

"Shh." He cut me off and stepped back, making take steps forward with

him since his hand was tightly grasping on my lower back.

As the music picked up more and the building to the chorus came, I felt

a little more relaxed. At least I haven't fallen yet.

"Dani."

"Yeah?"

"You trust me?" Aiden asked and I nodded with my head tilted slightly.

"Good."

So shine bright tonight

Aiden gripped my waist with both hands and lifted me into the air like I

weighed nothing.

I squealed loudly and slapped his arms to put me down.

"Just let the music take you.” He said again and put me down. Grabbing

onto my hand, he spun me out then pulled me back, making our bodies

clash together and his other run down my back softly, making me

shiver.

He turned me around and made me face him and swayed with me as

he stared into my eyes with a huge grin on his face. I blushed and

rested my forehead against his chest. The build of the chorus came

once more and I knew what he was going to do but I was ready.

I knew that we'd become one right away

Once more, Aiden lifted me up and I wasn't afraid, I didn't scream, I felt

free.

I opened my arms wide and closed my eyes and giggled. Now this, is

what happiness really feels like.

The song was slowly dying down and slowly Aiden let me down and I

opened my eyes, looking straight at him as he did the same.

My arm found its way to the back of his head and I lightly gripped his

hair with my other hand on his forearm. Aiden leaned in slowly and I

leaned in back. Our lips were inches apart and I was dying from

anticipations.

"You really are a diamond." He whispered as his lips were about to

touch mine and I closed my eyes once more, ready to get my first kiss.

Until...

"MINE!"

My eyes shot open and I looked towards the entrance to see Richard

standing there in basketball shorts and black eyes.

"What are you doing on this land?" Aiden asked as he released me from

his hold and pushed me behind him.

"You have what's mine. I want her back.” Richard said as he inched near

us and Aiden stepped back, making me do the same.

"Go home to your wife Richard. Aren't you tired of making Danica

suffer? She doesn't deserve this and you don't deserve her. Get the hell

out before I show you the way out.”

"Danica comes with me then I'll leave. I can't change the past and I

can't change what I've been doing but I will earn her forgiveness.”

Richard said and I scoffed. Earn my forgiveness, yeah right.

"Earn her forgiveness? By doing what? Screwing her mother some

more? You are not taking her.” Aiden said with a loud growl at the end

and Richard chuckled.

"You're forgetting that you have to bring her back anyway. Danica,

please. You know I'm sorry and that I love you. Don't let him play with

your head." Richard pleaded to me as he came closer to Aiden and I

and I shook my head in disgust.

"Suck a dick Richard." I said.

"Y-you two are m-m-mates?”

I tilted my head to look behind Richard to see my mother standing

there with tears in her eyes.
