Chapter 485: 485 Pushing the Door_1
Legend of Dragon Son-in-law
By the time Arvid Woody arrived at the Copper Quey Platform, half an hour had passed since Dimitri Leopoldâs emergency call for help.
Gonzalez City wasnât very large, but traffic was quite congested as it was nearing afternoon tea time.
The location they were staying in was less than fifteen kilometers from the Copper Quey Platform, yet it took a full half hour to drive there.
After parking the car, Arvid Woody hurried to the reception desk and slapped the table, asking, âHow do I get to the Azure Dragon Hall?â
âIâm sorry, the Azure Dragon Hall is already occupied by guests.â
The receptionist gave Arvid Woody a cold glance and spoke indifferently.
Then, they continued to bow their head, busy with their work.
âWhat kind of customer service is this!â
Arvid Woody was somewhat dissatisfied.
He worked in the entertainment business, and frequenting venues was an inevitable part of his job.
He had stayed at most of the top hotels in the country, but he had never experienced service as poor as at the Copper Quey Platform!
Most importantly, the Copper Quey Platform was the largest entertainment venue in Gonzalez City and had a resounding reputation.
Having always upheld the principle that the customer is king, Arvid Woody straightened his clothes, cleared his throat, and slammed his hand down onto the reception desk!
Slap!
This sudden loud noise startled the reception staff.
Even the hotelâs security hurried over toward the source of the sound.
âWhat happened?â
The security captain, who was one of Aron Jacksonâs loyal employees, Dominating Tiger, came over and looked at Arvid Woody coldly, âCausing trouble?â
This was Aron Jacksonâs property, and in Gonzalez City, no one dared to cause such a commotion.
Slamming the table?
They would have already been thrown out!
âI am a guest, but the front deskâs attitude is simply arrogant! Let me tell you, I have never encountered such poor service in all my travels!â
Arvid Woody snorted coldly and turned his head away.
âExactly! What kind of attitude is that! A mere registration clerk, daring to be so bold? Their head might as well be in the clouds! Whereâs your manager? Call them over, I want to make a complaint!â
The assistant echoed from behind, inciting further.
The larger the venue, the more concerned they are about their corporate image.
âWhatâs going on? The customer comes first, have you forgotten what Aron Jackson and the rest have instructed?â
Dominating Tigerâs eyebrows furrowed. He walked to the front desk and asked sternly, âIs what the guest is saying true?â
Only after the Copper Quey Platformâs staff showed a response did Arvid Woody snort coldly and said to Dominating Tiger, âForget it! Theyâre all nobodies, not worth wasting my time on. You, lead me to the Azure Dragon Hall. Oh, and is Aron Jackson here?â
âThe Azure Dragon Hall?â
Upon hearing the phrase âAzure Dragon Hall,â Dominating Tiger turned to look at the receptionist.
âHe wanted to go to the Azure Dragon Hall, I told him it was occupied.â
The receptionist answered truthfully.
âOh! Carry on with your work then.â
Upon realizing the two individuals in front of him were the guests who wanted to visit the Azure Dragon Hall, Dominating Tigerâs attitude changed instantly.
He coldly stated, âThe Azure Dragon Hall is occupied, you all should come back another day!â
âHey! Whatâs the matter with you!â
Arvid Woodyâs expression darkened once more, âYouâre just a stinking security guard, how dare you stop me? The guest in the Azure Dragon Hall is my friend, and heâs had an accident in there. If you donât bring me there right now, you will be held accountable!â
It seemed as if he was worried that they would not lead him inside, so he added, âIâve already called the police!â
As soon as the police got involved, the Copper Quey Platform would unavoidably be implicated, and even Aron Jackson would have to cooperate with the investigation.
Arvid Woody had thought that after he said this, the security would be scared enough to escort them upstairs, but Dominating Tiger merely scoffed, âWe operate legally, why would we be afraid of you?â
âYou!â
With that remark, Arvid Woody was left speechless and could only threaten through gritted teeth, âYouâd better inform Aron Jackson about this and if not, donât blame me for not being courteous!â
He was shaking with anger.
If someone truly influential had treated him this way, he would have let it slide.
A group of security staff and waiters, daring to command him with such arrogance!
It undoubtedly enraged Arvid Woody to the extreme.
âIt doesnât matter, our boss has made the rules clear. The privacy of guests is paramount, and you go straight up to the Azure Dragon Hall without a word, thinking you are someone important? Do you have no respect for rules at all?â
Dominating Tiger roared loudly, and the employees immediately surrounded him.
These people were real tough guys, not ordinary hoodlums, and their presence instantly overwhelmed Arvid Woody.
âHeh⦠donât say I didnât warn you!â
Arvid Woody took a deep breath, trying his best to remain calm.
He glanced at his watch and lifted his head to say to Dominating Tiger, âThe police will be here in no more than ten minutes.â
âThen letâs wait for them. You have no right to enter anyway, thatâs the rule!â
After saying this, Dominating Tiger turned and left with his men.
âGeneral Whitaker, these people seem to be up to no good, why do they look so fierce and malevolent?â
The assistantâs forehead was covered in cold sweat; this wasnât their territory, this was Copper Que Terrace, Aron Jacksonâs stronghold.
Causing trouble here, wasnât that seeking death?
And the presence these people exuded was that of desperados!
âDonât worry about it!â
Actually, Arvid Woody was feeling nervous himself, but there was nothing else he could do at the moment.
The person was upstairs, already out of contact.
Not one of the three was answering their phones.
They didnât even know if they were alive or dead.
He had arrived at Copper Que Terrace, but all he could do was wait helplessly below!
During such times, every minute was of utmost importance!
Arvid Woody was about to force his way through, but the sight of Dominating Tiger and his men made him inexplicably hesitant.
Finally, the sound of police sirens was heard outside.
âThis time, letâs see what you can do! Damn it, Aron Jackson, donât blame me for not giving you face!â
Seeing the police enter Copper Que Terrace, a smile appeared on Arvid Woodyâs face.
As long as they could find an excuse to lock Aron Jackson up for even half a day, they would leave immediately after the concert.
Without them in Gonzalez City, Aron Jackson would have a hard time doing anything.
After all, Enlighten Group was a major company with complex internal relations, far beyond what a local snakehead in Gonzalez City could compare to.
âOfficer, Iâm the one who reported the incident! My three employees sent me a distress call from the Azure Dragon Hall here, but Iâve been unable to get in. Iâve been desperately waiting for you!â
Arvid Woody walked up to the police officer, saying excitedly.
âPlease wait a moment!â
The officer nodded and approached the reception desk, âAzure Dragon Hall, lead the way.â
âRight this way, please!â
The waiter immediately came out from inside and led the way.
This annoyed Arvid Woody, as he had been hoping the waiter would continue to act aloof so that the police might take him away for a lesson.
But to his surprise, the people here were actually so cooperative!
Their attitude towards him was completely different!
Regardless, Arvid Woody was finally able to go upstairs.
With the waiter leading the way, Arvid Woody was worried the whole time, what if the person wasnât there?
What if the three had encountered danger and had been moved? That would be troublesome!
âOfficer, could they have been taken away? Itâs been half an hour since I received their call.â
He approached the police officer and asked quietly.
âIf theyâre not here, weâll start investigating immediately!â
The officer nodded, stood in front of the door to the Azure Dragon Hall, and pushed the door open!
