The Rejected Wife: Chapter 54
The Rejected Wife: A Single Dad Nanny Billionaire Romance (The Davenports Book 5)
She begins to cry out. I release my hold on her and slap my hand over her mouth to muffle the sounds. Normally, Iâd want the entire world to hear how well I satisfy my wife, but I donât want to disturb Serene. As her body shudders in the aftermath of her climax, I flip her over so sheâs under me. She stares at me with lust-filled eyes as I plunge into her, fucking her through the shudders jolting her body. Until, with a final thrust, I pour myself into her. I keep my weight mostly off her, so as not to crush her, reveling in the tiny flutters of her pussy around my cock. Then, unable to stop myself, I lower my head and kiss her deeply. She winds her arms about my neck and kisses me back. The taste of her is drugging. It goes straight to my head and to my groin.
I feel myself get erect again and force myself to pull out. She needs her rest. But I canât stop myself from kissing her. Falling onto the bed next to her, I gather her close. For a few seconds we lay there, skin plastered to slippery skin, her heart pounding against mine.
âWow.â She turns her head into my chest and presses her lips there. âThat wasâ¦something.â She looks down between her legs. I follow her gaze to find my cum dripping out of her.
On instinct, I reach down, scoop up my cum, and push it back inside her.
âWhat are you doing?â she gasps.
âMaking sure you take every bit of what belongs to you.â I tilt her chin up and kiss her again. âYou belong to me. This pussy is mine. This mouth. These lips. These breasts.â I squeeze her nipple. âAll of this belongs to me. Only me. You feel me?â
She nods.
I kiss her again, wishing I could bury myself inside her once more, but knowing we need to become parents again. With a resigned sigh, I release her, pull up my scrubs, swing my feet over the side, and rise to my feet. I hold out my hand and help her up, then put her clothes to rights. Thereâs a knock on the external door leading to our room.
âCome in,â I call out.
Connor pushes the door open and walks in with two backpacks, which he places on the closest chair. âClothes for the both of you. Summer packed yours.â He nods in Cillaâs direction. âYour phone is also in there.â
âThank you,â she murmurs.
He turns to me. âAnd thereâs a replacement one for you.â If he guesses what weâve been up to from our disheveled, state he doesnât mention it.
âIâll wait outside for you.â
We get dressed quickly, then peek into Sereneâs room. Thereâs a nurse on duty next to her, so we walk over to Serene and, together, we watch our sleeping daughter.
âShe slept through the night. The doctor should be here to see her shortly,â the nurse tells us.
After confirming sheâll call us when our daughter is awake, we exit through the door to the corridor and join Connor.
âHow is she?â He nods toward Sereneâs room.
âShe had a peaceful night. Weâll have to wait for the doctor to examine her to let us know about her condition.â
By mutual consent, we head down to the cafeteria again for breakfast.
After weâve ordered, Cilla busies herself with her phone, no doubt, answering messages which must have come in. There are a lot of unopened messages and emails on my phone too, but theyâll keep.
âArthurâs worried about all of you. He wants you back in London ASAP.â Connor takes a sip of coffee.
âMe too.â
Connorâs phone vibrates. He pulls it out and makes a face. âSpeak of the devil.â He answers the call and listens, then looks at me. âHeâs here.â
He holds the phone out to me.
My grandfather is the last person I want to speak to. When I hesitate, my wife takes the phone from Connor. âHello, Grandad.â
I frown. Iâve never called Arthur that. Itâs always Arthur or Gramps.
She listens, and nods. âYes, sheâs better. The doctors said sheâs out of danger. But weâre waiting for her to be examined to find out when sheâll be discharged.â
I hear the old manâs voice at the other end of the line. Iâm too far away to make out the words though. She listens intently, then nods again. âYes, of course, Iâll call you and let you know when weâve taken her back to the resort.â
She listens some more.
âNo, no. Thereâs no need for you to come. Tyler has it under control.â She shoots me a glance.
I frown, a question in my eyes, but she shakes her head, indicating sheâll tell me about it after the call. At least, thatâs what I assume. I accept this telepathic connection we seem to have formed somewhere along the way.
âOf course, Grandad, nice to speak to you too.â She disconnects the phone, hands it over to Connor, and levels a glance at me.
âWhat?â I growl.
âDidnât think youâd be afraid to talk to Arthur.â
I scoff. âNot afraid, simply discerning. The man has a way of getting involved in things he has no business being involved in.â
âHe was worried about Serene.â
The knot of discomfort in my chest eases a little. âHe does love Serene,â I confess.
âHe wanted to know if there was anything he could do to help, is all.â
âYou told him I was handling it.â I lower my chin.
âI meant it. Thereâs no man more capable than you, Tyler Davenport.â
Yet, she hasnât told me she loves me. I canât stop the frown that filters across my forehead.
She leans forward in her seat. Thereâs a plea in her eyes which I could claim I donât understand except, with this damned intuitive thing going on between us, that would be a lie.
She wants me to give her time to figure things out. To come to terms with everything thatâs happened. The way I needed time to process everything when she and Serene came into my life at the same time.
I forced the space between us then. The good thing is, unlike me, she hasnât asked for physical distance. If she did, Iâd agree out of respect for her wishes, but it would be bloody difficult. And to be honest, Iâm not sure if Iâd be able to comply.
Our gazes meet, and the air between us heats. One thing she canât deny. Our bodies are tuned in to each other. As if sensing the invisible pull between us, she sways forward. I grab the arms of her chair and haul her closer. She raises her chin; I lower mine and brush my lips over hers. She opens her mouth; I sweep my tongue in. The moment my tongue touches hers, my blood heats, and my groin hardens.
I begin to deepen the kiss, when I hear a loud throat clearing. Connor. I ignore him, until the nurseâs voice reaches us. âSerene is awake and asking for you.â
