Chapter 6

You Are My Obsession Till Eternity

Pihu Pov's

Both Shivani and I decided to take a day off from the office, still shaken and exhausted from yesterday's incident. With my injured leg, Shivani insisted on taking care of me, although she was clearly upset with the reckless stunt I pulled. I felt a pang of guilt, unsure of how to make it up to her since she wouldn't let me cook with my injury. Desperate to find a way to pacify her, I racked my brain for alternative solutions.

Suddenly, I heard Shivani's stern voice saying, "Pihu, I'm going out to get something to eat. Take care of yourself and the house. And I mean it, don't do any work." I simply replied, "Okay," knowing deep down that mischief was on the horizon, a mischievous smile already creeping onto my lips.

With a plan in mind, I decided to prepare Shivani's favorite dessert, Suji ka Halwa, hoping it would instantly melt her heart. I resolved not to do anything else, as I anticipated she would give me a lecture like my mother always did if I pushed my luck too far. With determination, I made my way to the kitchen and began cooking.

After finishing the halwa, I sat eagerly at the dining table, patiently waiting for Shivani's return with our lunch. Soon, I heard the jingling of keys at the door, signaling her arrival. She entered the room and glanced at me, but didn't say a word. She didn't even notice the bowl of halwa sitting on the dining table, instead heading straight to the kitchen to bring our food to the plates. I couldn't help but feel a mix of disappointment and hope, wondering if my efforts to mend the situation would go unnoticed.

She brings me my food and her eyes immediately land on the bowl of halwa, her anger evident on her face. But before she can unleash her frustration, I start blabbering, desperately pleading, "Shivani, I'm sorry, please don't be angry with me. I promise I won't repeat my mistake. Please accept this halwa as my apology, and don't scold me too much. It was just a twisted ankle, nothing serious." I dramatically join my hands together in front of me, giving her my best puppy-dog eyes. "Please, I'm sorry, sorry, 100 times sorry."

Shivani lets out a sigh and says, "Okay, I accept your apology, but don't ever do something like this again. When Officer Shaurya told me that you could have been shot if you hadn't dodged the bullet in time..." Her voice trails off, tears welling up in her eyes. "I don't even want to imagine it. But you have to promise me that you won't put yourself in danger like that."

I nod and reply, "Okay, I promise. I'll stay away from danger. Now, let's put all this behind us. I'm hungry, so let's dig into the food." I can see that Shivani is still a little worried about me, but at least I've managed to pacify her. She'll probably forget about it by tomorrow and return to her usual self.

After finishing our meal, we decided to watch a horror movie, despite both of us being terrified of them. There was a twist though - we always made a bet on who could watch the movie until the end, and unsurprisingly,we both managed to cling onto our seats, trembling with fear. Little did we know that the horrors of the movie would continue long after the credits rolled.

As night descended, the eerie atmosphere in the room grew thicker, and even the slightest creak or mysterious sound sent us into a frenzy. We clung to each other like scaredy-cats, seeking solace and protection from the impending horrors on the screen. Our brave façade quickly crumbled, and we found ourselves chanting the 'Hanuman Chalisa' like it was our only lifeline, hoping that divine intervention would save us from the jump scares.

But neither of us was ready to admit defeat or back down. Just when we thought our adrenaline-fueled nightmare couldn't get any worse, the lights began to flicker and then abruptly went out, plunging us into darkness. In sheer panic, we screamed at the top of our lungs "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh", as if possessed by the spirits from the movie, and dashed to my room for safety. Huddled under the protective shield of a blanket, we clung to each other like it was the end of the world, unable to face the unknown lurking beyond.

After what felt like an eternity, the lights remained stubbornly off, and to add to the chaos, my phone began to vibrate. We both let out another blood-curdling scream "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh", momentarily forgetting the source of the disturbance. Shivani, quick to react, smacked me on the head and exclaimed, "You idiot, it's your phone! Pick it up!" I couldn't resist the urge to playfully retaliate with a smack of my own, but she was swift in presenting my phone to me.

With trembling hands, I fumbled to answer the call, holding it up on speakerphone as if it were a lifeline to the outside world. "Hello?" I stammered, my voice quivering. On the other end, the watchman's voice brought a mix of relief and amusement as he informed us, "Ma'am, there will be a power outage for about half an hour due to some pesky meter problem. But rest assured, our heroic electrician is already on the job. No need to lose sleep over it!" I managed to mutter a feeble "Okay" before hastily ending the call.

That night, we found ourselves seeking comfort in each other's arms, too petrified to even think about moving from our beds. The fear had bonded us together, creating an unbreakable connection as we clung to each other, finding solace in our shared terror. Little did we know that our horror movie night would turn into a comedy of frights, forever etching a hilarious yet unforgettable memory in our hearts.

In Rathore Empire

Rudra, consumed by his love and obsession, meticulously orchestrated a plan to bring Pihu closer to him. He entrusted Veer with the task, instructing him with utmost seriousness, "I want you to transfer Pihu and her friend to my office floor under the guise of their internship. It must be seamless, devoid of any rumour or suspicion. I don't want my love to discover my intentions just yet, and I want to ensure her safety and protect her from any distractions."

Rajveer, knowing Rudra all too well, responded, "I have already taken care of it this morning because I understand you, my friend." A small smile crept onto Rudra's lips as he acknowledged, "That's why you are my right hand and my confidant, Veer."

Veer continued, "I know you're concerned about Pihu's safety before you leave for Italy for a three-month business deal. I also understand that you don't want to leave, but you have no other choice. This deal will not only expand your mafia empire threefold, making you the next mafia king, but it will also exponentially grow your legal business, providing a cover for your true identity as the mafia king."

Rudra nodded, acknowledging Veer's understanding. Lost in his thoughts, memories of his past flooded his mind, darkening his gaze and hardening his usual countenance. In his mind, he whispered, "I always do wrong things, but in clandestine ways. That's my life motto. This world only values power and money. There is no such thing as good money or bad money; there is only money. And now, I'm so close to my goal that no one will dare to cross me."

Observing Rudra's distant state, Veer continued, "Rudra, your private jet is ready. Are you going to depart tonight or wait until you see Pihu tomorrow morning?"

Snapping out of his reverie, Rudra replied, "No, I'm leaving tonight. I'm certain that if I see my love tomorrow, I won't be able to leave or resist taking Pihu with me, which would be dangerous for her. I want to shield her from any kind of peril. I don't want her to be in harm's way." With these words, both men set off for the airport.

Little did Rudra realize that by loving her so intensely, he had unknowingly placed Pihu in the very danger he sought to protect her from.

Rudra boarded the flight to Italy as his thoughts consumed him, a potent mix of love and obsession coursing through his veins, he couldn't escape the fervent desire that burned within him. With a resolute voice in his mind, he whispered "Love, just wait for me. In this cruel world, every beauty deserves a beast to protect her, and I will be that beast for you. I will claim you as mine, and no one will dare to snatch you away from me. Through any means necessary, by hook or crook, I will make you mine because my love for you knows no limits."

"I believe that love is an obsessive delusion, but I see marriage as the cure, the binding force that solidifies our connection. Through the sacred vows we will exchange, you will be forever bound to me, and our love will transcend the ordinary. Together, we will create a realm where our love reigns supreme, shielded from the cruelty of the world. My love for you is relentless, unwavering, and it will be enough to sustain us both. Just wait, my love, for the day when I claim you as mine through the sacred bond of marriage, for it is then that our love will be eternally sealed."

That day devil solemn vows that "In his infernal fortress, he will cage his beauty away from this cruel world, protecting it from the ravages of darkness and preserving its purity."
