Chapter 107
The Love From Vengeance
107 OFFICE INTRIGUE LUKEâS POV âAriel! Ariel!â I knocked on the door continuously, but she still didnât come out to give me an answer.
The door was locked from the inside, and she was screaming for help. But what the hell was going on?
Who was trying to follow through with nonsense in that office?
I was standing close to Rose, the lady who used to work at my company. Well, we were all familiar with the reason for me, firing her. But here she was now, working for The Vitality Group. I couldnât care less anyway, but being close to her made me sick.
Anyway, I had come to see Ariel to discuss certain things. Well, I wanted to apologize for what happened earlier today. I had to realize I went a little bit crazy. But the moment I got close to her office, I was having second thoughts. Until I heard her screaming from the inside.
âLuke!â I heard Arielâs voice once again.
âSomething is definitely going wrong in there,â Rose said.
âYou think I donât know that?â I refused to glance at her.
âItâs obvious Mrs. Reynold is in trouble. We have to save her.â
âWill you please shut up?â I gave her an unfriendly look. She adjusted her glasses in silence.
I could hear Ariel screaming from the inside, and my mind wasnât at ease. Who in MEGEEKCE INTRIGUE the world had the nerve to go in there, bringing terror upon her? Whatever was going on there needed to stop. But how was I going to get this door open?
âSir, we need to get in that office as soon as possible,â Rose told me, and I had to let out a sigh in annoyance.
âYou know, you donât have to say a damn word, alright?â
âIâm sorry, sir. But thatâs my boss in there. And if you donât want to do anything, Iâm going to call the cops.â
I shook my head, taking my eyes off her. After observing the door, I elbowed it with all of my might. It was quite painful, but I decided to do that repeatedly, compounding the force. And one last strike at the door caused it to open.
I quickly entered the office, with Rose walking behind me, and I saw Daniel getting off Ariel. He walked in my direction immediately and tried striking my countenance. Well, I seized his hand and threw a punch at his face.
How dare he try to do something so disgraceful? He tried to force himself on my wife. Okay, I think I needed to correct that: he tried to force himself on Ariel, something I never relished in this life.
If I were to see any woman being outraged, Iâd do everything in my power to save Ther. Just like when I caught this man trying to force himself on one of my friends back then, when I was still a teenager. I had to beat the hell out of him, translating into a lot of people being baffled. They called me the young Hercules.
Daniel wanted to fight back, but my rage at the moment had unleashed the beast in me. A demon that couldnât be tamed, and the anger was so intense, as if I had loved this woman my whole life.
I punched Daniel in the face and delivered another one to him. That was how I kept on striking his visage till he landed on the ground. His face was bleeding, and my fist was covered in blood, a result of all the vigorous punches. You could feel sorry for him.
I glanced at Ariel, who had Rose standing by her side. Her hair was messy, and there were scratches on various parts of her body, especially her face. I didnât like that one bit. This useless man wanted to ruin her beauty, which was clearly not acceptable.
âAriel,â I called her name, treading towards her. âI hope youâre alright.â
She nodded as she responded softly, âI think I am.â
âWhy did you have to let this man enter your office? You know how dangerous he can be.â
âI didnât know.â She shook her head, gently fixing her hand on her neck. âAnd he just barged into my office. He didnât even bother to get permission.â
âHow?â I quizzed.
âHow was I supposed to know? I was just sitting here in my office, not having any knowledge of whatâs going on outside the door.â
I glared at Rose. âThen it must be this ladyâs fault.â
âDonât blame me, okay? I too didnât know the time this man walked into her office.â Rose defended herself.
âThen you werenât doing your job properly,â I retorted.
JOT OFFICE IN TANGLE âI was busy, working on a project at that time.â
âYou should have still been on guard.â
âOkay, Luke, please, I donât want this argument to take place. I really appreciate. the fact that you just saved me from Daniel, but please, you shouldnât do this. right now. Itâs nobodyâs fault.â
I couldnât believe this lady. I helped her, and just look at how she was talking to 1. me.
âLuke, can you please tell me what you did to Daniel?â Ariel asked.
I glared at Daniel right away. âWhat did he tell you?â
âHe said nothing. But he had to let me know youâre the reason for the actions he carried out.â
I couldnât help but chuckle. âWhat a fool.â
âIsnât it true?â Daniel spoke immediately, slowly getting to his feet as he tried to catch his breath. âYou wanted to ruin my business, Luke Reynold.â
âWhat did you do?â Ariel queried, like I was obligated to give her an answer. I could just walk out of here if I wanted. Nobody was going to do anything.
âLuke.â Arielâs tone was filled with eagerness.
âCan you please calm down?â
âWell, can you just tell me what you did to him?â
âWhy are you so eager to know?â
âBecause I almost got raped today!â Ariel answered loudly. âSo this is literally my business.â
âYou want to know, right? Fine, Iâll tell you,â I said after staring at her for a moment. I pointed at Daniel as I spoke, âThis man here wanted to drug you. He was planning to invite you over to his company so he could have sex with your once youâre insensible. Am I lying, Daniel?â
1 continued, âThe moment I found out about his evil plan, I went straight to his company and bought almost all of his workers.â
âYou did what now?â Ariel raised an eyebrow.
âWell, I didnât buy them, actually. I just gave them money to resign from his company and join mine.â
âHow in the world did you do that?â Ariel expressed admiration.
âI wasnât notorious for nothing.â
Arielâs face could tell she was still in awe. âBut thatâs..â
âCrazy. I know, right?â I cut her off. âBut it didnât end there. I had to beat the hell out of this man, warning him. It looks like he still hasnât learned his lesson.â
Ariel glared at Daniel. âAnd I thought you were the good guy.â.
âAnd I was the bad guy,â I said straightaway. âThis is how you think of me. I totally deserve it.â
âAre you surprised?â she asked.
âWell, no,â I answered lowly.
âExactly.â She nodded. Her eyes widened instantly. âLook out!â
