Chapter 131
The Love From Vengeance
131 TOUGH?
LUKEâS POV The lights flickered to life, and the room was bathed in a bright glow. And there, standing in the center of the room, was a baldheaded man. He had a commanding presence, with his chiseled physique on full display and his shirtless form showing off his defined abs and chest. As he slipped on a pair of gloves, his gaze swept the room with purpose. He was also putting on a pair of cargo pants, completing his utilitarian look. It was clear that this man was ready for action.
The manâs intense gaze zeroed in on André and me, his expression filled with malice. He appeared to be a formidable creature, capable of crushing us with ease. However, I refused to be intimidated. I stood my ground, unafraid of his imposing presence.
Me: André. His mindâthat was for me; I couldnât talk about Andre. He had no idea what was going on in his mind, if he was terrified. But I knew we couldnât show weakness in front of someone who exuded such dominance and power. So, I met the manâs eyes with so much confidence, glaring at him back.
My mind told me this moment was not going to be a great one, but there was no option. We had to face it.
âOkay, what do you think thatâs up to?â Andre asked, glimpsing at me.
âI have no idea. But itâs definitely something not nice,â I answered, gazing at the terrifying man who was standing boldly in the room.
The man began to make his way towards us; his steps were measured and deliberate. His hands were balled into tight fists, and his expression was a mixture of anger and detestation, a face twisted into a fierce scowl, creating a terrifying visage.that would make someone begin to panic. Despite this, I refused to flaunt fear and met his intense gaze with an unwavering one of my own. He was, without a doubt, a formidable figure, but I had no intention of behaving chickenâlike in his presence.
âYou two will be crushed into pieces!â He bellowed, and his tone was filled with intense fury as he pounded his fists together with such force that it seemed like they could shatter at any moment. His voice was like thunder, booming and spine -chilling. But despite his dreadful demeanor, I felt a sense of defiance, remaining unfazed. I wasnât afraid of this man and his threats. I was ready to stand my ground and face whatever consequences may come. And I could tell Andre had the same thoughts as mine.
âI get the fact that youâre really scary. But letâs be real around here; if youâre (
about to exchange blows, then this isnât going to be a fair fight,â I told him.
He growled. âWhat do you mean?â
âWell, heâs trying to tell you that this fight isnât going to be fair because our hands are tied,â Andre answered the fearsome manâs question.
âExactly,â I spoke immediately. âSo, if you think youâre that tough, we can show you how tough we are.â
He laughed. âFools. Do you think Iâm that dumb to fall for your stupid trick?â
âWhat trick?â Andre made a confused face.
âYeah, what trick?â I also displayed the expression of playing along.
âThe boss wants the both of you dead.â
âThe boss?â Andre raised an eyebrow, still feigning his silly tone.
âYeah, my mother,â I whispered to him, and he nodded.
âShut up, both of you!â The man yelled, and we both turned to him. âIâm not taking those ropes off your hands. Iâll make sure the both of you perish in such a state.â
âThen you must be a coward,â I told him.
âWhat?â He made a puzzled face.
âYes, you are a coward.â
âIâm a bo coward,â he argued.
âThen make this a fair fight. Unloose these ropes; letâs show you what we got.â
The man laughed. âThe both of you donât stand a chance against me.â
âWhat are you waiting for, then?â I smirked at him, raising my brows. âRemove those ropes from our grasp so we can severely strike you.â
âYou think youâre going to beat me?â
âWe donât think,â Andre spoke leisurely, and the man and I looked at him right away. âWe know.â He taunted.
âOh, oh, that does it,â the baldheaded man said, and he walked to both of us. Both of you say you can beat me, right? Letâs see about that.â
ropes He brought a knife out of his pocket and immediately cut the off my my hands.
I smirked at that very moment. âI never thought that was going to work.â âSay what now?â The man raised an eyebrow with a confused expression.
I mercilessly delivered a crushing blow to his vulnerable testicles. He howled in agony, but I didnât stop there. With brutal force, I struck him again and again, not giving him a chance to catch his breath. His body recoiled in pain as I continued my relentless assault, hitting him with all my might. By the time I was done, he was left gasping for air, his manhood aching and bruised from my brutal attacks. I showed him no mercy, and he knew better than to mess with me again. He was an intimidating figure.
My mother was stupid for sending this man to finish the job.
As I stood up, I couldnât help but notice Andreâs shocked expression. He looked like he had just seen a ghost.
âWhatâs wrong?â I asked Andre, and he shook his head slowly, still in disbelief. He was acting like I had pulled off some impressive dance moves or something, but it was clear that I had caught him off guard.
Knocking that man out so quickly was really unbelievable. Yeah, I couldnât believe it myself. I thought I was going to battle for ages, but I guess I was wrong.
My eyes narrowed down to the knife that had fallen from the manâs hand the moment I struck him vigorously. I picked up the knife and went to cut the ropes off Andreâs hands. âYou better get up. We need to find Ariel as soon as possible.â
âYeah, I know that,â Andre said inaudibly as I helped him stand to his feet. â Thanks, by the way.â
âItâs nothing,â I said, and I looked around. âDo you think Ariel might be in this place?â
âI have no idea. But thereâs something I do know for sure.
âAnd whatâs that?â I glanced at him.
Andreâs finger shook wildly as he gestured towards the towering figure, who was gradually rising from the ground. Some part of me was about to gulp in fear at the sight. But hell no! I was not going to be terrified.
We had to act fast before this man could fully stand on his feet. And itâs not like I was scared or anything. Okay, maybe a little. Wait, hold on. Donât add me to the chicken list. I was just being cautious around here. You simply cannot predict whatâs going to happen, just like how I took this man down so quickly.
âUh, oh, it looks like that guy is planning to take us on a wild ride through the fiery pits of Hades,â Andre spoke, our eyes fixed on the baldheaded man in cargo pants.
