Chapter 73
The Love From Vengeance
73: CRAZY CONFLICTS ARIELâS POV Giaring at the both of us, Luke stormed in our direction, his fists clenched tightly and his face red with anger. But I still needed to know where he came from. Because it was like he just appeared right here.
âTake it easy, man; itâs not what you think,â Daniel tried explaining as Luke got closer. The next thing he received was a punch in the face. It caused Daniel to shift backwards.
âHow dare you try to get your dirty self on my wife?!â Luke seized Danielâs shirt and gave him another punch.
âLuke! What the hell is wrong with you?!â I shrieked. I moved nearer, trying to break Lukeâs grip on Daniel.
He pushed me away, blinded by his jealousy or whatever was going on in his head. I almost fell down, but I kept my balance.
Luke wanted to deliver another punch, but Daniel was quick to seize his hand. Daniel struck Luke on the face vigorously.
Daniel hooked Luke and threw him to the ground. I could hear the sound of Luke landing, and I have to say, it was really painful.
Luke was about to get to his feet, but Daniel punched him hard in the face. However, Luke struck back at Daniel and gave him back-to-back punches.
Their brawl went on for minutes, with blood covering both of their faces. I tried yelling some senses into their heads, but their anger had blinded their eyes and clogged their ears.
I spotted some cops passing by, and I had to run in their direction.
âI need your help, please,â I told them.
âWhatâs going on down there?â One of the cops asked, watching Daniel and Luke brawl with themselves.
âYeah, I need help with that.â I gestured toward them.
The cops swiftly advanced toward the two infuriated men, and they had to separate the both of them.
âWill the two stop it?!â One of the policemen barked, getting in between Daniel and Luke. Why do you guys have to behave like children?â
âHe started this shit!â Daniel snapped, trying to catch his breath. His face was covered in blood, and so was Luke.
âHe was trying to take advantage of my wife!â Luke snarled.
âThatâs a lie!â Daniel shrieked in return.
âOkay, thatâs enough!â The cop silenced them. âI donât want to see this nonsense anymore. If this repeats itself next time, Iâll have no option but to make sure the two of you spend the night in jail. Is that understood?â
âDo you have any idea who youâre talking to?â Luke asked the cop in a proud tone.
âLuke Reynold,â the cop answered, crossing his arms. âYeah, Iâve heard about you. You think youâre some sort of big shot?â
Luke glared at him. âYou do not want to be messing with me.â
âAre you threatening me?â The cop asked slowly.
âLetâs just say this is a warning.â Lukeâs glare compounded.
The cop chuckled. âIâm sorry, sir. But youâre not above the law. And if I were you, Iâd go get my face cleaned up.â
The policemen all walked away after that. Luke and Daniel exchanged dark looks promptly. Daniel stormed off after that.
Luke turned to me. âI hope youâre happy now.â
âYou hope Iâm happy? Luke, you were the one who went ahead to do some crazy shit. You didnât even bother to know what happened. You just came and strated acting like the mighty Hulk Hogan.â
âWhat is there to know about? Itâs clear youâre cheating on me with that man.â
âYou know what, Luke? I donât have time for this nonsense. Think all you want.â
The moment I began treading away, he nailed my hand.
âWhere do you think youâre going?â
âIâm leaving, okay?! When youâre back to your senses, let me know.â
He pulled me to him, and when I got closer, I pushed him backwards. He dragged me with him. as he fell down, and the both of us landed on the ground.
I looked into his eyes, but I quickly broke the I was about to get up, but he dragged me to him once again.
âI donât really understand you, Mr. A minute ago, you were all steamed up. Now look at you; youâre trying to act so romantic.â
âDonât you like this romantic side of me?â He smirked. Was this how he always changed his moods so fast?
âI donât,â I told Luke, making a hard face.
âYou donât?â He kept on with his smirk, wrapping his hands around my waist.
âI donât, now let go of me,â I demanded, but his grip became tighter. I could feel his fingers moving around my waist, and a passionate gaze took place at the moment.
âHey, can the two of you get your butts off the ground?!â An old lady yelled at the both of us. Her voice was as tiny as hell.
I laughed before getting up. Luke rose to his feet as well.
âWhat were the two of you trying to do, huh? This is public. Donât you know people can see you?â
âWeâre sorry,â I told the old lady.
âDonât tell me sorry,â she said in an unfriendly tone, and she walked away, saying only God knows what. But her tiny voice caused me to laugh.
âYou really need to get your face cleaned up,â I told Luke.
He walked away from me without saying anything in return.
âHey,â I uttered, moving behind him. âWait for me!â
LUKEâS POV The day had gotten dark, and I was at a strip club, waiting patiently for someone. And you could just guess who that was, It was that guy who kept on calling me, talking about some information.
I wanted to meet him face-to-face, so he gave me this location. And here I was, biding patiently, sitting for minutes. I didnât understand why he had to choose this location. Of all the places in the world.
He said he would let me know when he arrived. So I was waiting for his call and looking at the entrance of the club. The thumping bass reverberated through the air, blending with the raucous laughter and hushed conversations.
I took my eyes to the entrance once again, and then two scantily clad strippers approached my table, swaying their hips seductively. Their eyes sparkled with mischief, and their lips curled into inviting smiles. They were here to entice, to captivate, and to ensure that my money found its way into their pockets. But hell no.
I politely declined their advances, but one of them leaned in, her perfume filling my senses. Come on, handsome,â she purred. âLet me show you a good time.â
My lips curled into a polite smile, and my voice was firm but gentle. âThank you, but Iâm waiting for someone.â
âThereâs no need to be so shy. Weâre going to make sure you get the night of a lifetime,â the other smirked, walking up to me.
She had that seductive smile and wanted to trail her fingers on my chest, but I seized her hand.
âDonât,â I glared at her and let go of her hand forcefully. They both gave me an angry look before walking away.
I was glad those devils were gone.
My phone began to ring, and I answered it immediately.
âIâve arrived. You can come meet me outside,â the caller said.
