Chapter 87
The Love From Vengeance
87 NAUGHTY ACT ARIELâS POV The moment I parked my car, my heart pounded in my chest after sighting Elizabeth standing at the gate of the mansion; the house which belonged to Luke and I.
It was quite strange, or were my eyes lying to me? I didnât really think so. Elizabeth was standing right there, discussing with Marcus, I think. And I knew I needed to put an end to that conversation as soon as possible, before anything could get out of hand.
I quickly rushed in her direction, and my eyes widened the moment I realized Luke was the one she was talking to. I hoped their discussion had not gotten too far.
âAriel!â Elizabeth exclaimed, hugging me tightly. I glanced at Luke, and he was just staring at the both of us. Kind of curious, Iâd say. But it didnât really matter- obviously what was going on in his mind.
âOh sweetheart, I miss you so so much.â Her hug became more tight.
âYeah, I miss you too,â I told her, and she broke the embrace. âSo, how did you find me?â
âIt was quite easy. Who doesnât know Luke Reynold?â Elizabethâs smile widened.
I glanced at Luke, who had his eyebrows raised. âWow, and I here I was thinking this place was kind ofâ¦. hidden.â
Elizabeth burst out laughing. âOh come on now. You thought wrong. But Iâm disappointed in myself, for not recognizing you.â
âYeah, itâs good. I think I should be going now,â Luke told her, turning around.
âSure, no problem.â Elizabeth smiled at him, and then he walked away.
I held Elizabethâs hand, and walked to my car, dragging her along.
âWhat are you doing here?â I aksed her in a whisper.
âWhat do you mean by that? I came to see you,â she answered.
âI know, but thatâs not a good idea.â
âWhy not?â Elizabeth heaved an eyebrow.
âWell, itâs kind of a long story,â I replied, crossing my arms. âSo, can I please know why youâve come here?â
NAUGHTY ACT âItâs because of Lukel.â
âLukel?â
âYes, Lukel. Heâs been seriously sick the past few days,â Elizabeth revealed.
I found it hard to believe, but there was no way she could be lying. Lukel was a strong little boy, healthy, and he was kind of crazy, at his young age.
âWhy didnât you inform me about this earlier?â I quizzed.
âI tried calling, but I couldnât reach you. I had no idea why the signal had to be so terrible,â Elizabeth answered, and let out a deep sigh.
âWhereâs Lukel now?â I aksed, gradually falling into the panic state.
It hurt me to see my babies feeling bad. I hate to get the news that theyâre in pain, or something relating to that. I just didnât want to see anything terrible happening to them.
âHeâs home, along with Andre,â Elizabeth gave me an answer to my question.
âAndre is back?â My eyes widened. I couldnât believe my ears. I actually missed him, his lovely company.
âYes, he is back. And this time, we all came to New Haven.â
âYou all came to New Haven? Hold on, are you telling me that the whole family is in New Haven right now?â I queried, filled with surprise.
âYup, we sure are.â Elizabeth smiled, making a silly face. I could see she was still trying to wear her comical mode.
I giggled. âGuess Iâll just have to join you guys.â
âAre you crazy?â Elizabeth slapped my hand. âDo you want to leave your husband?â
âIâm not going to leave him. Iâm just going to pay you guys a visit. You know, spend the night there.â
Elizabeth observed me for a moment. âAnd you think your husbandâs going to be fine with that?â
âYeah, come on. Heâs not a little kid. Heâll totally understand.â
âThe face that you have been living with Andre for years, before you got back with him? Nah, I donât think heâs going to understand.â
I closed my eyes, letting out a deep sigh. âWhy are you being so worried now?â
âHey, I just donât want me or my family to ruin the lovely relationship of a NAUGHTY ACT married couple,â
âLovelyâ I whispered to myself, before chuckling. âYeah, right.â
âWhat was that for?â Elizabeth queried.
âWhat exactly?â
âYou justâ¦â She chuckled. And then raised both of her brows at me. âWhatâs the problem? Are you and Luke living the married life without happiness again?â
LUKEâS POV Bursting into my house, I couldnât spot anyone in the living room. If my aunt did come to this house, she was supposed to be right here. Unless she was starting to feel herself again. Donât tell me she took her grungy feet upstairs.
I quickly marched upstairs, went to my room, but she wasnât there. I searched other rooms until I finally saw her. But I tell you brother, she was cut in the naughty act.
She was right in this room, no clothes on, and she was spreading her legs wide, pleasing herself with her fingers, whimpering like an idiot.
âFuck!â I bawled loudly, smacking the door, before turning my face away.
Although I couldnât see her, I knew she had ceased the nonsense she was carrying out.
âWhat the hell, Aunt Mariam!â I yelled, turning to face her with a mixture of anger and disgust in my eyes.
âWhat?!â she snapped back, trying to cover herself with a sheet.
âWhat is wrong with you?!â I shouted, feeling my blood boil. âYou canât just come into my house and doâ¦that!â
âItâs my house too, you know,â she retorted, her cheeks turning red with embarrassment.
âYour house?â
âYes, you idiot! Iâm older than you. Donât forget that!â
âBullshit! Does that give you the right to do whatever you want?!â I shot back, my voice rising. âI canât believe you would do something like this in my house!â
âOh, please, like youâve never done it before,â she scoffed, trying to deflect the blame onto me.
âThatâs not the point!â I yelled, feeling my frustration and anger building up. Youâre at my house, for godâs sake! This is so messed up!â
27 NAUGHTY AM4 âIâm an adult, I can do what I want!â she argued, standing up and facing me with defiance.
âFine, then do it in your own damn house!â I shouted, throwing my hands up in exasperation.
âYou know what, Iâm leaving,â she said, grabbing her clothes and storming past 1. me.
âGood riddance!â I yelled after her, feeling a mixture of relief and anger. âAnd I hope you didnât soak the bed with yourâ¦â
âWith my what, huh?!â She cut me off.
âYou know what Iâm talking about!â
âI canât believe you would stoop so low as to insult me like that,â she spat.
âWhy not? Youâve insulted me plenty of times before,â I shot back, not backing down.
âYou think youâre so perfect, donât you? Well let me tell you, youâre not!â she seethed, her voice dripping with venom.
âAt least I have some sense of decency,â I retorted.
âOh, please. Youâre just jealous that I can still have a good time and you canât,â she taunted, a smirk forming on her lips.
âI donât want your version of a good time,â I snapped.
âWell, youâre just a boring stick in the mud,â she fired back, her words like daggers.
âAt least Iâm not a disrespectful, selfâcentered lunatic like you!â I yelled, feeling the weight of years of pent up frustration and hurt pouring out of me.
âWatch your language, you idiot!â she scolded, her face turning red with rage.
âYou watch yours!â I shot back, not caring anymore. âYou come into my house and act like itâs your own personal playground. You have no respect for anyone or anything!â
âOh, shut up. You donât know anything about me,â she hissed.
âI know enough to see that youâre a toxic and destructive person.â
âFine. Iâm leaving. I donât need this crap,â she said, turning to leave.
âGood. Donât bother coming back,â I spat back, and she finally left.
