(Ashvik)

Ruhanika: "Bhaiyuuu"

Ashvik shut his eyes tightly, trying to hold back the overwhelming emotions flooding through him. Ruhanika had always called him "brother," but somehow, in this moment, it felt different—deeper, more profound. This time, the word wasn’t just a title; it held the weight of a bond, of shared pain and unspoken love that had finally found its voice. Feeling the warmth of Ruhanika’s gentle hand rubbing his back, Ashvik found comfort. She seemed to understand everything he couldn’t put into words, her touch silently offering reassurance and acceptance. After a few minutes, they both slowly pulled back from the embrace. Ashvik, still holding back tears, reached up to cup her face with a tenderness that made her heart ache. He leaned forward and pressed a gentle kiss on her forehead, a gesture that conveyed all the love, protection, and silent promises of a brother who had finally found his family.

Kartavya: "Mainu lagda hai sanu ehna dono nu thoda waqt dena chahida hai."

(I think we should give them both some time.)

Everyone nodded in agreement and quietly left the room. As Rudraksh reached the stairs, he paused, glancing back at Ruhanika and Ashvik one last time before heading up to his room.

Ruhanika: "Bhaiyuuu"

Ashvik gazed at her, his eyes filled with a deep well of emotions, reflecting all that had been left unspoken. Ruhanika's eyes, too, mirrored the silent ache of 17 long years, a yearning for the bond she'd always wished to share with her brother. The weight of those years hung in the air, creating an unspoken connection that only they could fully understand.

Ruhanika: "Bhaiyuu, aap thik ho na??"

(Brother, are you okay?)

Once again, Ashvik gently pulled her into a warm embrace, holding her tightly as if trying to make up for all the years they had been apart. His arms wrapped around her, conveying the affection and comfort that words alone couldn’t express.

Ashvik: "Haan bachcha, ab mujhe tum mil gayi ho, ab main kaise thik nahi rahunga??"

(Yes, little one, now that I've found you, how can I not be okay?)

Ruhanika: "Kaise bhaiyuu??"

(How, brother?)

Ashvik chuckled softly. But only his sister had the power to bring out this lightness in him, even at a time like this. They settled onto the couch, sitting across from each other, sharing a quiet moment of understanding and familiarity that only siblings could.

Ruhanika: "Humne bahaut yaad kiya aapko bhaiyuu"

(I missed you so much, brother.)

A lone tear slipped down Ruhanika's cheek, and Ashvik gently wiped it away, his touch filled with the warmth and care he had held back for so long. His own pain was surfacing, memories and emotions swirling within him, tempting him to let go completely and cry. Yet, as he looked at Ruhanika’s fragile expression, he knew he had to be the strong one, her anchor in this emotional storm. He took a deep breath, steadying himself, pushing back his own tears. With a gentle squeeze, he held her hands, enveloping them in his own, silently conveying that he would always be there for her.

Ashvik: "Sorry bachcha, mujhe toh kuch pata hi nahi tha."

(I’m sorry, sweetheart, I didn’t know anything.)

Ruhanika: "Hum sochte the aap bhi hume mumma papa ki tarah chod ke chale gaye hai. Aap kaha the bhaiyuu"

(I thought that you had left me, just like mom and dad. Where were you, brother?)

Ashvik's mind wandered down memory lane, back to the days of his childhood. But the soft sound of Ruhanika’s sobbing broke through his reverie, pulling him back to the present. He turned to her, his heart sinking as he saw the pain in her eyes.

Ashvik: "Sorry bachcha, naraz ho mujhse."

(I’m sorry, my dear. Are you upset with me?)

Ruhanika nodded, her head lowering as if carrying the weight of her emotions. Seeing her so vulnerable, Ashvik’s heart softened. He smiled gently, reaching out to caress her cheek, his touch tender and full of reassurance.

Ashvik: "Jitni shikayatein hai na mujhse, sab bol do aaj, sab sununga main, jo kuch hai dil me sab bol do beta."

(However many complaints you have, just tell me everything today. I’ll listen to everything—whatever’s in your heart, let it all out.)

Ruhanika's lips trembled, and her chin quivered as the flood of emotions overwhelmed her. Unable to hold it in any longer, she gently lay down, resting her head on Ashvik's lap, seeking solace in his presence. Ashvik’s heart ached as he looked down at her, and despite his usual strength, tears welled up in his eyes. He tenderly caressed her head, the silent act of comfort mingled with the raw emotion he couldn’t suppress.

Ruhanika: "Hum aapko bahaut yaad karte the humesha, sochte the ki agar aap hote toh koi hume tang nahi karta na bhaiyuu??"

(I always missed you. I used to think that if you were here, no one would trouble me, right, brother?)

Ruhanika lifted her gaze, searching his face for some form of reassurance, her eyes filled with a quiet vulnerability. Ashvik met her gaze, his eyes glistening with unshed tears. He gave her a small nod, his expression soft but filled with unspoken promise.

Ruhanika: "aap jante hai bhaiyuu, Nima bhi aapko mumma ko papa ko sabko yaad karke roti thi. Hum bhi unki godh ke sar rakh ke aapko yaad karte the. Par hume sirf vo raat yaad aati thi."

(You know, brother, even Nima used to cry remembering you, mom, and dad. I would rest my head in her lap and think of you. But all I could remember was that night.)

Ashvik: "teddy, beta mujhe kuch yaad nahi hai, tum bataogi kya hua?? Rudraksh ne bataya mujhe ki accident hua tha car par uske baad??"

(Teddy, dear, I don’t remember anything. Can you tell me what happened? Rudraksh told me there was an accident, but after that?)

Ruhanika: "Bahaut aag thi bhaiyuu, mumma ki saree jal rahi thi, papa aakhein nahi kholi rahe the, aap piche wali seat pe nahi dikh rahe the, hum bahaut roye par koi utha hi nahi. Aag bahaut badh gayi, phir ye aaye aur hume bahar khich liya, aur shayad hum behosh ho gaye kyuki uske baad jab hum uthe toh hum Nima ke sath unke kamre me the, humne mumma Papa aur aapke baare me pucha toh unhone kaha ki aa...aap sab hume ch..od ke chale gaye."

(There was so much fire, brother. Mom’s saree was burning, Dad wasn’t opening his eyes, and you were nowhere on the back seat. We cried a lot, but no one got up. The fire kept growing, and then they came and pulled us out. Maybe I fainted, because after that, when I woke up, I was with Nima in her room. When I asked about Mom, Dad, and you, she said you…you all left me.)

Ruhanika's tears came in a torrent once more, her sobs shaking her body as she buried her face against Ashvik's stomach, trying to hide the overwhelming sorrow she could no longer contain. Ashvik, feeling the depth of her pain, gently bent down and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a protective embrace.

Ruhanika: "Aap hume apne sath kyu nahi le gaye bhaiyuu?? Kyu hume vaha choda jaha hume bhai shabd se bhi Darr lagne laga tha, hum sochte the aap hote toh hume bacha lete na."

(Why didn’t you take me with you, brother? Why did you leave me in a place where even the word ‘brother’ scares me? I used to think if you had been there, you would have saved me, right?)

Ashvik pulled Ruhanika into an even tighter embrace, his arms enveloping her as though he never wanted to let her go. The weight of everything hit him all at once—her pain, her solitude, everything she had suffered while he was not there to protect her. His heart ached for her, for the countless moments she must have spent thinking he was lost to her forever. He couldn’t begin to imagine the isolation she had endured, trying to navigate the world without the one person who should have been her constant companion. In that moment, Ashvik realized how much he had taken for granted, how his disbelief in God had kept him from seeing the bigger picture. Now, as he stood here with Ruhanika in his arms, feeling the raw intensity of their reunion, the anger and regret surged within him. Why? he thought, his mind pleading for answers. Why did God let this happen to us?

Ruhanika: "Bhaiyuuu, a..ab aap hume kabhi nhi chod ke jayenge na??"

(Brother, you…you won’t ever leave me again, will you?)

Ashvik: "Kabhi nahi teddy, kabhi nahi jaunga, jaan basti hai meri tujhme."

(Never, Teddy. I will never leave you. My life resides in you.)

Ruhanika pulled back slightly, feeling the warmth of Ashvik's tears as they fell onto her neck. She sat up, gently wiping her face, her heart heavy with the realization that her brother, the one who always seemed so strong, was also hurting. Without a word, she reached for his hand, holding it tightly in hers, a silent gesture of comfort and understanding.

Ruhanika: "Bhaiyuuu, aap roiye mat, Mumma ko achcha nahi lagta tha jab hum dono rote the, papa kehte the aap sher hai unke."

(Brother, don’t cry. Mom didn’t like it when we both cried. Dad used to say you were his brave one.)

Ashvik's eyes were a mirror of the emotions swirling within him—grief, love, regret, and a deep sense of protectiveness. Despite his efforts to remain strong, the rawness in his gaze was undeniable. Ruhanika, though not yet mature enough to fully grasp the complexities of his emotions, could sense the weight of what he was feeling. She could feel the intensity of his pain and the depth of his care for her, even without fully understanding all the unspoken words behind them. It was a connection beyond words, one that transcended any explanation.

Ruhanika: "Aapne kaha aapko kuch yaad nahi hai, aap Janna chahte ho??"

(You said you don’t remember anything. Do you want to know?)

Ashvik nodded silently, his throat tightening with emotions he had buried for so long. Words failed him, and in that moment, he felt an overwhelming sense of helplessness. His heart ached, and he knew Ruhanika could sense his vulnerability. As if understanding his unspoken need, Ruhanika smiled softly, her eyes warm with affection and understanding. She gestured for him to place his head on her lap, a silent invitation to find solace in her presence. Without hesitation, Ashvik leaned into her, gently resting his head on her lap. The moment he did, a wave of warmth washed over him—so comforting, so nurturing, that it almost felt like he was sinking into a place of safety he never thought he'd find.

The tenderness of Ruhanika’s touch, the way she caressed his hair gently, reminded him of a mother’s love—something he had craved all his life but never truly experienced. Despite the years between them, Ruhanika was showing him a kindness that felt beyond age, beyond the traditional boundaries of siblinghood. It was as though in that moment, he was no longer just her brother, but a child in need of comfort, and she, the one who could provide it. Ashvik closed his eyes, his chest tightening with emotions he had kept locked inside. For the first time in his life, he felt the overwhelming urge to share his pain, to let go of everything he had been holding onto. He had spent years trying to be strong, trying to be the one who never broke down, but now, in Ruhanika’s presence, he realized it was okay to be vulnerable. It was okay to let the tears flow.

Ashvik: "Main hospital me tha jab aakhein Khuli, bahaut sari pattiya lagi thi mere hath aur sar pe, bahaut machine thi aas pass. Kya hua kon hu kuch yaad nahi tha, bechaini hone lagi, doctors aaye aur injection deke shant Kiya. Maine pucha ki kya hua hai mujhe kon hu main."

(I was in the hospital when I opened my eyes. I had bandages all over my arms and head, and there were so many machines around me. I couldn’t remember anything, not even who I was. I started feeling restless. The doctors came and calmed me down with an injection. I asked them who I was and what happened.)

Ruhanika, feeling the heaviness in the air, gently reached out and caressed Ashvik's head, her fingers brushing through his hair in a soothing motion. The simple act of tenderness spoke volumes, and it seemed to calm him just a little. Ashvik, in turn, held her hand tightly, drawing strength from the warmth and reassurance she offered.

Ashvik: "Doctor's ne bataya accident hua tha, aur ek couple leke aaya mujhe vaha unhone bola ki vo mere parents the kyuki unhone yahi relation se hospital form pe sign Kiya tha, maine pucha vo kaha toh doctors ne bataya vo mujhe chod ke chale gaye. Mujhe bahaut bura laga, gussa bhi aaya. Kuch pal baad jab mujhe hosh aaya toh doctors ne bataya ki vo ek charitable hospital tha aur main chota hu toh vo mujhe ana..th aashram bhej denge, mujhe bahaut gussa aaya jab mujhe Anath ashram ka matlab pata chala, main nahi jaana chahta tha, mujhe apne parents pe gussa aaya."

(The doctors told me there was an accident, and a couple had brought me there. They said they were my parents, because that’s what they wrote on the hospital forms. I asked where they were, and the doctors said they had left me. I felt horrible—angry too. A few moments later, when I came to my senses, the doctors told me it was a charitable hospital, and since I was a child, they would send me to an orphanage. I was furious when I learned what ‘orphanage’ meant. I didn’t want to go. I was so angry at my parents.)

Ruhanika felt the urge to interrupt, to tell Ashvik that their parents weren’t like this, that they had loved them in their own way. But as she saw the pain in his eyes, she stayed silent, allowing him to pour out all his hurt. She knew that right now, he needed to speak, to release the weight he had been carrying for so long. Her heart ached as she listened to the broken, cracked quality of his voice, and though she longed to ease his pain, she understood that sometimes, all one needs is someone who will listen. She silently held onto his hand, her heart aching in sync with his, wishing she could take his suffering away.

Ashvik: "Rote huye Hospital se bhaagne wala tha, tab Dadu mile mujhe."

(I was about to run away from the hospital when Grandpa found me.)

Ruhanika furrowed her brows, a deep frown forming as confusion clouded her thoughts.

Ashvik: "Kartavya bhai ke Dadu, Mr. Karanjeet singh Khurana, vo vahi the kyuki Rudraksh nhi vahi admit tha shayad tujhe bachate waqt use chot aa gayi thi."

(Kartavya's Grandpa, Mr. Karanjeet Singh Khurana. He was there because Rudraksh was also admitted after he got hurt saving you.)

Ruhanika’s eyes widened in realization as the pieces of the situation began to fall into place. A deep sense of guilt and sorrow washed over her as she understood the pain that both Rudraksh and Ashvik were carrying. Her heart ached for both of them—one who had suffered in silence, and the other who had borne the weight of his own struggles.

Ashvik: "Unko pata chala toh vo le gaye mujhe apne sath London. Par ye locket maine kabhi nahi pehna kyuki mujhe lagta tha ye un logo ki nishani hai jinhone mujhe paida karke chod diya. Phir uske baad abhi 3 saal huye hai yaha India aaye jab Malhotra Empires business yaha expand kiya. Par vaha bhi school me sabke parents aate the toh baaki bachche mujhe chidhate the mujhe bahaut bura lagta tha, Rudraksh ne bola uska surname lelu but I wanted to establish myself , my name."

(When Grandpa found out, he took me with him to London. But I never wore this locket because I felt it was a reminder of the people who gave birth to me and then left me. It’s been three years since I came back to India, when Malhotra Empires expanded its business here. But even in school, all the other kids’ parents would come, and the kids would tease me. It hurt a lot. Rudraksh suggested I take his last name, but I wanted to establish myself, my own name.)

Ashvik's sobs were heart-wrenching as memories of his past flooded him—painful, lingering memories of a childhood. Every tear he shed felt like a release from years of pent-up sorrow. Ruhanika held him close, not saying anything, just letting him cry, her arms wrapped around him in a way that made him feel safe, like nothing could harm him now. She could feel the weight of his grief, the years of silent suffering he had endured. She knew how much it hurt to keep everything inside, how unbearable it became over time. And for the first time, Ashvik didn’t have to be strong. He didn’t have to hide his emotions. He was allowed to feel vulnerable, and that was all Ruhanika needed to give him in that moment—her understanding, her love, and the safe space for him to release everything. She knew exactly how he felt, the isolation of being separated from family for so long, the longing to be whole again. But today, she wasn’t just his sister—she was the person who would help him heal. Ashvik’s tears soaked into her shoulder as he clung to her. It wasn’t just the loss of their years apart, it was everything—the longing for family, for love, for a place to belong. And in Ruhanika’s embrace, he found that place. When his sobs finally began to subside, Ruhanika gently wiped away Ashvik's tears, her fingers soft against his face as he still rested on her lap. Her heart swelled with a mixture of love and tenderness as she looked down at him, offering him a smile that spoke of comfort and understanding. She ran her fingers through his hair, caressing his head lovingly, as if to reassure him without words that she was there for him.

Ruhanika: "Bhaiyuu, zyada yaad toh hume bhi nahi hai kuch par mumma papa hume aur aapko dono ko bahaut pyaar karte the. Hume princess aur aapko prince bulati thi mumma. Aur papa aapko sher aur hume gudiya kehte hai, hume sherni nahi bola batao."

(Brother, I don’t remember much either, but Mom and Dad loved both of us a lot. Mom used to call me ‘Princess’ and you ‘Prince.’ And Dad called you his ‘lion’ and me his ‘little doll’—not a lioness, imagine that.)

Ruhanika pouted playfully. Ashvik couldn't help but chuckle at the sight, his heart lifting slightly despite the weight of their conversation.

Ashvik: "Meri choti si gudiya ko sherni banna hai??"

(My little doll wants to be a lioness now?)

Ruhanika: "Bhaiyuuuu, gudiya nahi kya hum aapko gudiya dikhte hai?? Hum bade ho gaye hai shadi ho gayi hai humari."

(Brother! Doll? Do I look like a doll? I’m grown up now, I’m married!)

Ashvik chuckled softly, the sound light and genuine as he watched Ruhanika’s playful pout. Without warning, he flicked her nose gently, his smile widening as she blinked in surprise.

Ashvik: "Shadi ho gayi hai toh kya hua, mujhse toh 5 saal choti hi hai na."

(So what if you’re married? You’re still five years younger than me, right?)

Ruhanika: "Haa bhaiyu hum chote hai aapse, isiliye hum chote sher huye na."

(Yes, Brother, I’m younger than you. So that makes me a little lion, right?)

Both of them burst into laughter, the sound ringing through the room, light and free, as the playful moment broke through the tension. Ashvik, still chuckling, reached for Ruhanika’s hand, holding it gently in his. He caressed it with a tenderness that spoke volumes.

Ashvik: "sorry teddy, main tab tere sath nahi tha jab tujhe sabse zyada zaroorat thi meri, agar main hota toh tujhe kabhi koi takleef nahi hoti beta, le jaata sabse durr."

(I’m sorry, Teddy. I wasn’t there when you needed me most. If I’d been there, I would’ve taken you far from all the pain.)

Ruhanika smiled softly, her heart warmed by the tender moment between them. She gently reached out and caressed Ashvik's head, her fingers brushing through his hair in a soothing motion.

Ruhanika: "Shayad Shiv ji yahi chahte the bhaiyu, ha hum mante hai itne saal hum bahaut buri jagah aur bahaut darr me the, par dekhiye na ab unhone hume sab kuch de diya hai, achche pati, pyara parivaar, humare Bhaiyuuu, ab hum bahaut khush hai bhaiyuu aap bura matehsoos karo."

(Maybe Lord Shiva wanted it this way, Brother. Yes, we agree those years were terrifying and painful, but look at us now. He’s given us everything—a good husband, a loving family, and our brother. I’m very happy now, so don’t feel bad, Brother.)

Ashvik smiled softly, his heart swelling with admiration as he looked at Ruhanika. She had always been like a child in so many ways, with her innocence and playful nature, yet whenever the moment called for it, she showed a maturity that took him by surprise. It was in those moments when she became the calm, steady presence others needed, especially when emotions ran high. He couldn’t help but think about everything she must have gone through in her life, the struggles she had faced, yet she remained so positive, never voicing a complaint. As he watched her calm, serene face, Ashvik was struck by the contrast between her unwavering faith and his own broken belief. She believed in something greater, something good, while he had long since lost that sense of faith, convinced that life had taken everything from him. The depth of her strength, despite all she had endured, humbled him. She had found peace in the very things he had rejected, and for a brief moment, he envied the quiet confidence she carried.

Ruhanika: "Bhaiyuuuuuuuu"

Ruhanika suddenly shouted and Ashvik immediately sat up in alarm. His heart raced as he quickly reached for her, cupping her face gently with both hands, his thumb brushing over her cheeks as he searched her eyes for any signs of what had caused her outburst.

Ashvik: "Kya hua teddy?? Chillayi kyu??"

(What happened, Teddy? Why did you scream?)

Ruhanika: "Aapko bachpan me halwa pasand tha, hum banaye aapke liye??"

(You loved ‘halwa’ when you were little. Shall I make some for you?)

Ashvik's eyes narrowed as he shot Ruhanika a playful glare but Ruhanika, seeing the intensity in his gaze, couldn’t contain her laughter. She giggled, the sound light and carefree, her mischievous smile lighting up her face.

Ashvik: "Dara Diya abhi toh pagal."

(You scared me just now, silly!)

Ruhanika: "Banaye kya?? Phir aap vapas pehle jaise golu molu ho jayenge."

(Should I make some? You’ll get chubby again.)

Ruhanika’s grin grew wider, clearly enjoying the moment and Ashvik’s reaction. Without missing a beat, Ashvik reached out and playfully flicked her forehead, a gentle tap that still carried a hint of affection.

Ashvik: "Mota karna chahti hai mujhe."

(Trying to fatten me up?)

Ruhanika: "Ji bilkul, mumma bhi kehti thi aap golu molu achche lagte hai, halaki pata nahi kyu vo papa ko patla hone ke liye tarif karti thi."

(Absolutely! Mom always said you looked cute when you were chubby. Though for some reason, she’d praise Dad for being slim.)

Ashvik chuckled softly, clearly amused by Ruhanika’s playful grin. With a teasing smile, he gave her a light smack on the head, not hard, but just enough to get a reaction. Ruhanika immediately pouted, her lower lip jutting out in mock indignation as she glared at him with exaggerated annoyance.

Ruhanika: "Aap phir se hume marne lage, abhi toh gudiya keh rahe the Rukiye batate hai aapko."

(You hit me first! Earlier, you were calling me ‘doll,’ and now I’m a ‘mouse’?)

Ruhanika, with a mischievous glint in her eyes, grabbed a pillow and playfully hit Ashvik on the head. He was caught off guard at first, his eyes widening in surprise, but soon his lips curled into a mischievous smile. Ruhanika raised an eyebrow, but before she could react, Ashvik grabbed another pillow and smacked her right back. She tumbled backward onto the couch with a dramatic gasp, glaring at him in mock outrage.

And just like that, the room was filled with laughter as the pillow fight erupted. Feathers and cotton flew through the air, floating around like confetti as both siblings laughed and scrambled to hit each other. The living room, once calm, was now a battleground of giggles and pillow swings. Soon, both of them collapsed on the couch, breathless from laughing so hard, their faces flushed with joy. The tension from earlier had disappeared completely, replaced by the pure, carefree happiness they shared in those moments.

It was now lunchtime, but Ashvik and Ruhanika remained undisturbed, as everyone in the house respected their need for time alone to process their emotions and share their pain. The house was quiet, allowing them the space to heal together.

Rudraksh paced back and forth in his room, his mind heavy with worry. He had always been the one to remain composed, to keep a strong facade for everyone around him. But today, the weight of his concern for Ashvik and Ruhanika was overwhelming. He knew both of them too well—knew that Ashvik, no matter how strong he appeared, carried an ocean of emotions within him that he seldom let anyone see. He had always been the protector, the one to keep his pain hidden, but today, seeing him vulnerable, seeing his raw need for comfort, made Rudraksh's heart ache. And then there was Ruhanika—his wife, the girl who had always been the emotional anchor in their lives. He had seen how much she had endured in silence, how she had put on a brave face for the world, even when she was broken inside. She had lost her brother, and even though she hadn’t realized it until now, that loss had been gnawing at her heart for years. Now, it was all coming to the surface. Rudraksh understood the depth of the bond they shared, the unique connection between a brother and sister, but seeing them like this, so vulnerable, so raw, made him ache for them even more. He knew that both of them would cry, would break down in each other's arms, and yet he also knew that this was something they needed to do to heal. He didn’t want to interrupt their moment, but he couldn’t stop himself from worrying.

Rudraksh glanced at the clock, realizing it was time to check on things downstairs. He quickly stepped out of his room, and as he made his way down the hallway, he saw Rishwik coming from the other side. The two exchanged a quick nod, their expressions a mix of curiosity and concern. Together, they descended the stairs, only to freeze in shock when they reached the living room. The entire space looked as if it had been blanketed by snow. White, soft feathers were scattered all around, making the room look both serene and surreal. It was as though the storm outside had somehow found its way inside, or perhaps the room had been transformed by a winter wonderland. The two men stood there, bewildered, exchanging confused glances. They couldn’t make sense of what had happened or how the living room had come to look like this. Suddenly, they heard footsteps approaching from behind. Kartavya and Savisha arrived, followed closely by Kritika. Amandeep, who had been outside, soon joined them as well. Everyone was equally stunned, their eyes wide in disbelief at the sight before them. The confusion was palpable, as none of them had expected such a sight. As they all stood there, taking in the unexpected transformation, they moved closer to the center of the room, where a scene unfolded before them that left them all speechless.

Ashvik and Ruhanika had finally found a moment of peace. Both of them had drifted off to sleep in a quiet, comforting embrace of sibling love. Ashvik’s head rested gently on Ruhanika’s lap, her fingers still softly resting on his head. Ruhanika, exhausted from the emotional release, had settled her own head on the armrest of the couch, her hand tenderly holding Ashvik as if protecting him in his vulnerable state. The room was calm, the weight of their shared emotions now giving way to a restful, tranquil silence. When the others—Rudraksh and the family—entered and saw the peaceful sight before them, a warm, silent smile spread across their faces.

Rishwik: "Finally Ashvik bhai ke man ka dard Kum hua Aaj."

(Finally, Ashvik bhai's pain has lessened today.)

Savisha: "Waheguru hamesha khush rakhe inna dono nu."

(May Waheguru always keep these two happy.)

Savisha extended her hands in a circular motion around Ruhanika and Ashvik, a traditional gesture to ward off any negative energy. She then cracked her fingers on her forehead, performing the customary act to protect them from the evil eye.

Kartavya: "Jaga dete hai, bhookh lagi hogi dono ko."

(Let's wake them up, they must be hungry.)

Rudraksh stood there, silently observing Ruhanika and Ashvik. While a sense of happiness filled his heart for them, there was an undeniable ache as he noticed the tear stains on their cheeks. He could feel the depth of their emotions, and it hurt him to see his loved ones in such pain. Kartavya, sensing his turmoil, walked over and placed a comforting hand on Rudraksh's shoulder.

Kartavya: "Inna na soch, inna da rona zaroori si, agge layi oh dard inna de dil ton kadna zaroori si."

(Don’t think too much about them, their crying was necessary, it was important to remove that pain from their hearts.)

Rudraksh: "Main soch reha haan Ashvik agge ki karega, tusi jaande ho na, oh shant taan bilkul nahi baithan wala hai."

(I’m thinking, what will Ashvik do next? You know, he can't sit still)

Kartavya: "Ajj itna na soch, usde naal baad vich gal kar laiyo, par hun dono nu jaga de."

(Don't think so much today, you can talk to him later, but right now wake them up.)

Rudraksh gave a soft nod. He walked over to Ruhanika, his movements slow and deliberate. As he reached her, he gently caressed her head, his touch comforting and warm.

Rudraksh: "Ruhh, jaana uth jao, bhook lagi hogi na"

(Ruhh, come on, wake up, you must be hungry.)

Ruhanika's eyes fluttered slightly at Rudraksh's touch. Rudraksh then turned his attention to Ashvik, who was dozing off. With a soft smile, he bent down and gently caressed Ashvik's head. It was an unexpected gesture, one filled with warmth and care. Ashvik, a known sleepyhead, slowly stirred from his slumber, feeling the tenderness in Rudraksh’s touch. For the first time in his life, he was woken not with harshness or urgency, but with a rare gentleness that spoke volumes of the bond forming between them.

Rudraksh: "Ashvik, uth ab."

(Ashvik, wake up now.)

Rishwik walked over to Rudraksh and facepalmed himself.

Rishwik: "Bhaiii ye koi tarika hai Ashvik bhai ko uthane ka?? Ruko main uthata hu."

(Bhai, is this any way to wake up Ashvik bhai? Wait, I’ll wake him up.)

Rudraksh scowled while Rishwik flashed a smirk. Kritika shook her head, fully aware that this boy would never change. Rishwik gripped Ashvik's hand firmly and pulled him off Ruhanika's lap with force.

Rishwik: "Ashvik bhaiiiiiii bhukaampppppp"

(Ashvik bhaiiiiiii, Earthhhhquakeee)

Ashvik jolted awake, his eyes widening in shock as he took in his surroundings. Rishwik chuckled, but Ashvik shot him a glare, prompting Rudraksh to smack Rishwik on the head.

Rishwik: "Bhai yaar"

Kartavya: "Rudraksh ek aur de "

(Rudraksh, give him one more.)

Rudraksh smacked Rishwik's head again, causing Kritika and Amandeep to chuckle.

Rishwik: "Bhai yaar, jao na apni biwi ko uthao."

(Bhai yaar, go and wake up your wife.)

Rudraksh turned and noticed Ruhanika still fast asleep, unfazed even when Rishwik had shouted in Ashvik's ears.

Rudraksh: "Dono bhai behen kumbkaran."

(Both siblings are like Kumbhakarna.)

Rudraksh shook his head and gently patted Ruhanika's cheek.

Rudraksh: "Ruhh, betu get up yaar."

Ruhanika's eyelids fluttered open. Ashvik, filled with anger, stood up, his eyes blazing, ready to storm off. But before he could take a step, Ruhanika gently grabbed his hand. As he looked at her, the anger in his eyes softened, replaced by a tenderness he couldn’t quite hide.

Ashvik: "teddy, beta bas kuch der me aata hu."

(Teddy, dear, I’ll come in a while.)

Ruhanika: "Nahi pehle aap khana khaiye bhaiyuu, hum jante hai aap bahaut pareshan ho gaye the na aaj aur itna rona bhi aaya aapko, pehle kha lijiye phir kaam pe jaiyega Aksh kuch nhi kahenge, hai na Aksh??"

(No, first you eat, bhaiyuu. We know you were really upset today, and you were crying a lot too. First, have your food, then you can go back to work. Aksh won’t say anything, right, Aksh?)

Rudraksh and the others smiled, touched by Ruhanika's concern for Ashvik. Rudraksh gave a nod of approval.

Ashvik: "Beta main..."

(Dear, I...)

Ruhanika: "Bhaiyuu, please na aaj hum aapko khilayenge, bachpan me aap khilate the aaj hum khilaye??"

(Bhaiyuu, please, today let me feed you. When we were kids, you used to feed me, now let me feed you?)

Ruhanika looked at Ashvik with hope shining in her eyes, her gaze filled with an unspoken plea. Ashvik, unable to resist the sincerity in her expression, nodded in agreement and gave her a soft smile. Ruhanika’s face lit up with a bright grin as she stood up, her joy evident in the way she moved.

Savisha: "Pehle ye batao, ye kya haal banaya hai kamre ka?? Antakwadi ne attack ho aisa lag raha hai."

(First, tell me, what is this mess in the room? It looks like an attack by a terrorist.)

Ruhanika glanced at her in confusion, unsure of what was going on, while Ashvik let out a soft chuckle, amused by her reaction.

Ashvik: "Bhabhs, atankwadi ne nahi is 5'4 ki chuhiya ne ye atank failaya hai."

( Bhabhi, it wasn’t a terrorist, it was this 5'4" rat who caused this mess.)

Ruhanika pouted and shot a playful glare at Ashvik, placing her hands on her hips, clearly unimpressed by his laughter.

Ruhanika: "abhi tak toh hum toh teddy, gudiya the, aur ab hum chuhiya ho gaye, aur aapne hume pehle mara vo toh bataiye."

(You hit me first! Earlier, you were calling me ‘doll,’ and now I’m a ‘mouse’?)

Savisha: "Ashvik tune maara Ruhi ko??"

(Ashvik, you hit Ruhi?)

Kartavya: "Little sunshine ko hurt Kiya, khair nahi teri"

(Hurt our little sunshine? You’re in trouble now.)

Kritika: "Itni masoom ladki pe haath uthate sharam nahi aati??"

(How could you even think of laying a hand on such an innocent girl?)

Amandeep: "Main yaha nahi tha toh aapne meri Ruhii ko tang kiya bhai?"

(I wasn’t here, and you dared trouble my Ruhi?)

Rishwik: "Angel, main toh bolta hi hu main hi sabse zyada pyaar karta hu tumse, tum Maan lo ab ye."

(Angel, I keep saying I love you the most. You should accept it.)

Rudraksh: "Tu shayad bhul gaya ki Ruhh kiski biwi hai."

(You might be forgetting whose wife Ruhi is.)

Everyone began scolding Ashvik, and he facepalmed in frustration. Ruhanika couldn’t help but chuckle at his expression, but then she looked at him seriously and said.

Ruhanika: "Arehh bas bhi kijiye aap sab, Bhaiyuu nirdosh hai, humne bhi inhe maara aur ye sab ho gaya."

(Oh, please, all of you! Brother is innocent. I hit him too, and that’s how all this happened.)

Savisha approached and playfully grabbed Ruhanika's ears.

Savisha: "Din bhar din badmaash hoti ja rahi ho tum Ruhi."

(You’re getting more mischievous every day, Ruhi.)

Ruhanika immediately held her ears and flashed Savisha a pair of irresistible puppy eyes. Unable to resist, Savisha melted, her stern expression softening, and she gently released Ruhanika's ears with a smile.

Ruhanika: "Kya bhabhi sa hum badmaash hai??? Kya hume aisa nahi karna tha?? "

(Am I really that mischievous, sister-in-law? Should I not have done this?)

Kartavya: "Chalo bhai Chalo lunch karne, Varna ye sawalon ka pitara agar khul gaya toh band nahi hone wala."

(Okay, let’s go for lunch before the flood of questions starts and doesn’t end.)

Ruhanika: "Kya bhaisa saw...."

(What flood of que—)

Rudraksh: "Ruhhh, baadme haa please."

(Ruhi, later, please.)

Rudraksh gently guided Ruhanika toward the dining table, his hand resting reassuringly on her shoulders. The rest of the family followed behind them, but Ashvik and Rishwik remained where they were, both still caught in the calm of the moment. Ashvik, who had been watching Ruhanika with a soft smile as she giggled with the family, seemed lost in thought, his gaze lingering on her. Noticing his brother's quiet attention, Rishwik placed a hand on Ashvik’s shoulder, a silent gesture of comfort and understanding. He could sense the mix of emotions swirling within Ashvik, but also the pride and love he felt for his sister.

Rishwik: "I'm very happy for you bhai, finally ab shayad apni bakwaas band karde."

(I’m very happy for you, Brother. Finally, you might stop your nonsense now.)

Ashvik gave a faint smile to Rishwik, and Rishwik, sensing that a lot was weighing on Ashvik's mind, decided to cheer him up. Without hesitation, he pulled him into a warm hug and then kissed his cheek, trying to lift his spirits.

Rishwik: "ab thik laga???"

(Feeling better now?)

Ashvik: "Ewwwww"

Ashvik quickly shoved Rishwik away, his face flushing with embarrassment, but Rishwik just giggled, clearly amused by his reaction.

Ashvik: "Nalayak, besharam chichora insaan, hatt yaar ganda aadma."

(Nuisance, shameless flirt, get lost!)

Ashvik pulled a series of exaggerated faces, while Rishwik rolled his eyes and shot him an annoyed look, clearly unimpressed by his antics.

Rishwik: "Ganda aadmi, ruko batata hu."

(You called me dirty? Just wait, I’ll show you.)

Rishwik took a step toward Ashvik, but before he could reach him, Ashvik sprinted toward the dining table, with Rishwik hot on his heels, chasing after him.

Kartavya: "Na jaane oh din kado naseeb hovega mainu, jadon ehna dono sudhar jaan ge."

(I wonder if the day will ever come when these two will finally straighten up.)

Everyone chuckled at the playful chase, except for Ruhanika, who was still confused. Just as she was about to ask Rudraksh for an explanation, he quickly stuffed a tortilla in her mouth to stop her. Ashvik then sat beside Ruhanika, leaving no space for Rishwik, so he took a seat next to Kritika instead.

Ruhanika: "Bhaiyuu, kya hua aap kyu bhaage??."

(Brother, why did you run away?)

Ashvik: "Kyuki is ghar me ek pagal rehta hai."

(Because a madman lives in this house.)

Rishwik: "Mujhe pagal bola?? Ruko vapas kiss karta hu."

(You called me mad? Just wait—I’m coming back to give you another kiss!)

Ashvik tossed an apple at Rishwik, who managed to dodge it just in time, causing the entire family to erupt in laughter. Meanwhile, Ruhanika picked up a piece of gravy-dipped tortilla and brought it close to Ashvik's mouth, offering it to him with a smile.

Ruhanika: "Bhaiyuu, khaiye na humare haath se."

(Brother, please eat something, just from my hands)

Ashvik looked at Ruhanika with a depth of brotherly love, his eyes softening as he saw the caring way she offered him the bite. Without saying a word, he parted his lips slightly and allowed her to feed him. As she did, his eyes misted over with emotion, the raw tenderness of the moment hitting him. But in a flash, he quickly wiped away any hint of sadness, not wanting Ruhanika to see him falter and worry. The entire family watched the beautiful exchange, admiring the bond.  The atmosphere was filled with warmth and affection as the lunch continued in an unexpected but heartwarming way. Each person fed another, showing the care and love they shared. Rudraksh, always attentive to Ruhanika, was feeding her with the same tenderness. Ruhanika, in turn, fed both Ashvik and Rudraksh, noticing when either of them wasn’t eating properly. Savisha and Kartavya, with playful smiles, fed each other, their laughter adding to the lightness of the scene.

Meanwhile, Amandeep, Kritika, and Rishwik exchanged amused looks, their expressions filled with exaggerated confusion as they watched the sibling dynamics unfold. Unable to hold back, the three of them made silly, exaggerated faces at each other.

Rishwik, Amandeep, Kritika: "Ewww no never."

The three of them said in unison, their voices harmonizing, before they each fed themselves with their own hands. The atmosphere was light and joyful, and the lunch passed in blissful harmony, with the family sharing smiles and laughter.

After lunch, Ashvik stood up to leave, but Ruhanika gently held his hand, stopping him for a moment.

Ruhanika: "Bhaiyuu kaha ja rahe haim aap??"

(Bhaiyuu, where are you going??)

Ashvik: "Teddy, bas kuch der me aata hu main, thoda sa kaam hai bas."

(Teddy, I’ll be back in a little while, I just have some work to do.)

Ruhanika: "Par aap kaam nahi karenge Aaj toh Aksh kuch nahi kahenge aapko, toh kyu ka rahe hai??"

(But you’re not supposed to work today, even Aksh won’t say anything to you, so why are you working??)

Ashvik: "Office ka nahi beta, dusra kaam hai, ghar se kaam kar raha hu kamre me."

(It’s not office work, dear. It’s another task. I’m working from home in my room.)

Ruhanika: "Achcha ghar pe hi hai aap, thik hai."

(Oh, so you're at home, okay then.)

Ruhanika smiled softly, and Ashvik, in return, kissed her forehead before heading to his room. Rudraksh, Kartavya, Rishwik, and Amandeep exchanged knowing glances, understanding what Ashvik was up to. They didn’t stop him, silently acknowledging that sometimes, it was his way of dealing with his anger, and they respected that.

Savisha: "Ruhi, Kriti chalo mere sath mujhe batana hai tum dono ko."

(Ruhi, Kriti, come with me. I want to tell you both something.)

Ruhanika: "Chaliye bhabhi."

(Let’s go, Bhabhi.)

Ruhanika spoke excitedly, her eyes sparkling, as she jumped to her feet. Rudraksh glanced at her with suspicion, wondering what she was up to now.

Rudraksh: "Ye itna chehekne wali konsi baat hai isme???"

(What’s so exciting about this??)

Ruhanika: "Kyuki bhabhi sa hume roz nahi cheeze sikhati hai"

(Because Bhabhi teaches us new things every day.)

Rudraksh: "Jaise??"

(Like what?)

Ruhanika: "Jaise hum baad me batayenge, abhi hume jaane dijiye."

(Like… we’ll tell you later, let us go for now.)

Ruhanika hurried over to Savisha and Kritika, grabbing their hands as the trio excitedly left, leaving the others behind. The men chuckled at the girls' enthusiasm, shaking their heads in amusement. Once the girls had gone, the atmosphere grew quiet again, a calm settling over the room.

Rudraksh: "Main Ashvik ko dekh ke aata hu."

(I’ll just go check on Ashvik.)

Rishwik: "Main bhi chalta hu bhai, pata nahi Ashvik bhai kaise shant honge "

(I’ll come too, bhai, I don’t know how Ashvik bhai can stay calm.)

Kartavya: "Ruk jao, kuch der kar lene do jo karna vo tabhi Shanti se soch payega."

(Let it be, give him some time alone. Only then will he be able to think peacefully.)

They all nodded in understanding, Ashvik's need of space.

Amandeep: "Also sir, vo aadmi jo ghar me ghusa tha us raat Vijaypratap ka chamcha, use fek diya hai Vijaypratap ke sath and trust me Vijaypratap buddha ho gaya hai bas uski halat dekh ke hi Darr Gaya."

(Also, sir, that man who broke into the house that night was one of Vijaypratap’s goons. We’ve thrown him back to Vijaypratap, and trust me, Vijaypratap looked so old now that just seeing him is enough to scare anyone.)

They all smirked, exchanging knowing looks.

Rudraksh: "Kahi Jayvardhan aur apne bachcho ko dekhega toh dil ka daura na pad jaye use."

(If he sees Jayvardhan and our kids, he might have a heart attack.)

Rishwik: "Bhai yaar dekho use heart attack toh main hi dunga yaar please na."

(Bhai, please, let me be the one to give him a heart attack!)

Rishwik whined dramatically, his voice taking on a childish tone as if he were asking for something ridiculously trivial. Rudraksh and Kartavya couldn't help but chuckle at his antics, clearly entertained by his playful behavior.

Amandeep: "Isiliye tujhe bhai nahi bulaya main, 2 saal ka bachcha hai tu."

(This is why I don’t call you ‘bhai’—you’re like a two-year-old.)

Amandeep leaned in and whispered in Rishwik's ear, causing Rishwik to shoot him a sharp glare in response.

Kartavya: "And Dil ka daura, instead of Heart attack, waah Rudraksh bahaut jaldi hi apni biwi ke rang me dhal Gaya tu toh. "

(And you’re saying ‘heart attack’ instead of ‘cardiac arrest’? Wow, Rudraksh, you’ve really adopted your wife’s language style quickly.)

Rishwik: "Pyaar cheez hi aisi hai bhai."

(That’s the magic of love, bhai.)

Rudraksh: "Tujhe bada pata hai???"

(You seem to know a lot about it, huh?)

Rudraksh and Kartavya both raised their eyebrows at Rishwik. Amandeep, trying to hold back his laughter, suppressed a grin.

Rishwik: "Ha..ha toh basic knowledge hai, sa..sabko pata hota hai. Aur ye din bhar aap dono aise ghumoge lovey dovey ban ke toh ye sab toh sikhunga hi na main."

(Well… basic knowledge… everyone knows a little. And with you both walking around lovey-dovey all day, I’ll naturally learn a thing or two, right?)

Rudraksh and Kartavya exchanged a glance, their expressions skeptical, before turning their attention back to Rishwik. They weren’t convinced by his response.

Rishwik: "Zyada suspicious look mat dono, pehle bachche ko bigado aur phir usi se sawaal karo, hadd hai. "

(Don’t give me that suspicious look, you guys spoil me and then question me, unbelievable.)

Rishwik stomped his foot in frustration and stormed off, leaving the others behind. Rudraksh and Kartavya then turned to Amandeep, their eyes silently questioning him.

Rudraksh: "Mr. Amandeep Arora, aapka bhi koi Raaz hai toh bata do "

(Mr. Amandeep Arora, if you have any secrets, might as well reveal them now.)

Amandeep: "Kya?? Mera??? Sir na Mera kuch hai aur na Rishi ka, main chala bahaut kaam hai bye."

(What?? Me?? Sir, I have nothing to hide, nor does Rishi. I’m leaving, lots of work, bye)

Amandeep quickly darted away, almost at lightning speed, leaving Rudraksh and Kartavya chuckling behind him. They exchanged amused glances, knowing well that both Rishwik and Amandeep were shy around girls and had no one in their lives. It was all in good fun, a playful teasing they enjoyed among themselves.

In the gym, Ashvik was dressed in nothing but sweatpants, his body glistening with sweat as he relentlessly hammered the punching bag. Each punch was driven by a surge of pent-up frustration and anger, his fists striking with merciless intensity. His muscles flexed with every hit, and his breathing was heavy and erratic, the rage in his eyes evident as they burned with emotion. The sound of his fists meeting the bag echoed in the otherwise silent gym, a physical outlet for the turmoil and pain he was trying to release.

Rudraksh stepped into the gym, his feet heavy with a sense of urgency. As soon as he entered, the tension in the room was palpable. He could feel the heat of the moment, a simmering anger that filled the space. Ashvik was there, his clenched fists and furrowed brow evident signs of the storm brewing within him. Rudraksh could almost feel the fury radiating off him. Without saying a word, Rudraksh peeled off his t-shirt, revealing his sculpted, muscular back and his well-defined 8-pack abs. His body, built from years of dedication to his fitness, exuded strength. He slipped on his gloves, the leather stretching snugly around his hands. Ashvik, already in the middle of a furious punching session with the bag, didn’t even look up. He just kept pounding it, the sound of his fists hitting the heavy bag echoing in the silent room.

Rudraksh positioned himself opposite Ashvik, his eyes locking onto him. There was no need for words—they both knew why they were here. Without further delay, Rudraksh punched the bag with full force, his fists connecting with it in rhythmic succession. His anger was palpable, but it wasn’t the same as Ashvik’s. It was controlled, restrained, but still intense. The punching bag, which was already taking a beating from Ashvik, now had to endure the combined force of both men. The bag swayed and rocked under their strikes, its contents shifting with every powerful punch. The room was filled with the sound of fists connecting, the sweat dripping from their brows, and the determined grunts of both men as they took their frustrations out on the inanimate object. The poor punching bag was now on the receiving end of an emotional release neither man could fully articulate.

Rudraksh: "Gussa shant hua??"

(Anger calmed down?)

Ashvik: "Kya lagta hai??"

(What do you think?)

Rudraksh: "Baith ke baat kar sakte hai"

(We can sit and talk.)

Ashvik: "Mujhe us Khandan ko khatam karna hai bas."

(I just want to destroy that family.)

Rudraksh: "Gusse me bol raha hai, shant hoja pehle."

(You’re speaking in anger. Calm down first)

Ashvik’s rage was a reflection of his inner turmoil, his inability to reconcile his feelings about his past and the family he thought he’d lost. Rudraksh, though calm on the outside, shared the weight of his best friend's pain, feeling the strain of his own emotions in the depths of his chest. Ashvik and Rudraksh both landed a powerful punch at the same time, their fists connecting with the bag so forcefully that the punching bag tore open, sending sand spilling onto the gym floor. The room fell into silence, the only sound now the soft hissing of the sand settling. Both men stood still for a moment, catching their breath as the adrenaline slowly ebbed away. They removed their gloves, tossing them aside, and walked over to a nearby bench. Both of them bent forward, their hands resting on their knees, as they let the weight of the workout sink in. The silence between them was heavy, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. It was a mutual understanding of the intensity that had just been released. Rudraksh wiped his face with a towel and then tossed another to Ashvik, who caught it effortlessly. They both wiped the sweat from their faces, the intensity of the workout leaving a sheen of perspiration across their skin. Without a word, they draped the towels around their necks, leaning back against the bench for a moment of quiet recovery.

Rudraksh: "Bol ab."

(Now tell me.)

Ashvik's emotions finally overwhelmed him, and he couldn't hold back any longer. He collapsed into a tight hug with Rudraksh, seeking comfort and support. Rudraksh, understanding the weight of what his friend was going through, gently patted him on the back, offering a silent reassurance.

Ashvik: "Main kyu nahi tha Rudraksh meri teddy ke sath me, main hota toh ye sab nhi hota uske sath me, main hote hi nahi deta."

(Why wasn’t I there with my Teddy? If I had been, none of this would have happened to her. I wouldn’t have let it.)

Kartavya, Rishwik, and Amandeep walked in, their presence adding to the charged atmosphere.

Kartavya: "Jo ho gaya vo mat soch Ashvik, ab aage ka soch."

(Don’t dwell on what’s happened, Ashvik. Think about what’s next.)

Ashvik pulled back from the hug, his gaze shifting toward Kartavya.

Kartavya: "I hope now you know ki Vijaypratap kise dundh raha hai?"

(I hope now you understand who Vijaypratap is searching for?)

Ashvik: "He’s trying to find me?"

Amandeep: "Yess bhai, because sirf Ruhi ke signatures se use sari property nahi milega, aapka signature bhi zaruri hai aur us raat Mr. Adhiraj and Mrs. Rajnandani ki body ke sath aapki body nahi mili thi isiliye he can't even declare you dead."

(Yes, bhai, because Ruhi’s signatures alone won’t get him all the property. He needs your signature too. And since your body wasn’t found that night with Mr. Adhiraj and Mrs. Rajnandani’s bodies, he can’t even declare you dead.)

Rudraksh: "But vo tere signatures ke liye tujhe nahi dundh raha hai."

(But he’s not looking for you just for your signature.)

Ashvik: "Toh??"

(Then why?)

Rishwik: "Gira hua insaan hai bhai, janta hai aap Ruhi jaise innocent nahi rahoge, you must have faced the reality of the world isiliye vo aapko dundh raha hai taaki aapko maar sake aur kisi ko shaq bhi na ho."

(He’s cheap man, bhai. He knows you’re no longer as innocent as Ruhi. He knows you must have faced reality by now, so he’s looking for you to kill you without raising suspicion.)

Ashvik lowered his head, but instead of the anger that had consumed him earlier, a cunning smirk slowly spread across his face. One by one, the other men — Kartavya, Rishwik, and Amandeep — followed suit, all wearing the same mischievous grin. Seeing the shift in energy, Rudraksh stood up from his seat.

Rudraksh: "Bahaut ye luka chupi ka khel khel liya Vijaypratap ne, ab waqt aa gaya hai use hakikat se aamna samna karane ka.

(Vijaypratap has played enough hide-and-seek. Now it’s time he faces reality.)

Rishwik: "He will face the reality now, aisa bhi bol sakte ho aap bhai ye Ruhi ki bhasha usi pe jachti hai."

(He’ll face reality now; you could say that, bhai. Ruhi’s language suits him best.)

Amandeep: "Bhasha nahi language and Jachti nahi, suit hoti hai."

(It’s not language, it’s style, and it doesn’t suit him, it fits him perfectly.)

Kartavya: "Sab pe little sunshine ki hindi ka nasha chadha hai."

(Everyone’s got a bit of our little sunshine’s Hindi fever.)

They all chuckled, their mischievous smirks still in place, except for Ashvik, who remained silent and focused, his expression unreadable as he observed the others.

Rudraksh: "Kya soch raha hai Ashvik??"

(What are you thinking, Ashvik?)

Ashvik: "Kans mama ko surprise karne ka."

(I’m thinking of surprising Uncle Kansa.)

Rudraksh and Ashvik exchanged a sly smirk, their minds clearly working in sync as they thought about their wicked plan.

Rishwik: "Pehle jo Akshu ko shock diya hai, use thik Karo."

(First, fix the shock you gave to Akshu.)

Ashvik's eyes suddenly widened in shock as the realization hit him like a wave.

Kartavya: "Akshu kon??"

(Who’s Akshu?)

Rudraksh: "Akshavi Rajshree, Mr. Ashvik Rajpurohit ke dil pe Raaj karne wali."

(Akshavi Rajshree, the one who rules over Mr. Ashvik Rajpurohit’s heart.)

Ashvik was struck by another wave of shock, his eyes darting towards Rudraksh, who was watching him intently.

Ashvik: "Tujhe pata hai??"

(You know?)

Rudraksh: "Ha toh tujhe kya laga, koi tere aage piche ghumegi, vo kaisi hai tere liye sahi hai ya nahi ye pata nahi karunga main??"

(Yes, what did you think? If someone’s circling around you, I wouldn’t find out if she’s right for you or not?)

Ashvik: "Just you and your protectiveness."

Rishwik: "Jaake meri bestie ko manao, Varna main dikhaunga apni protectiveness."

(Go make up with my bestie, or I’ll show you my protectiveness)

Ashvik: "I have messed up, jute chappal maregi mujhe."

(I really messed up. She’s going to hit me with her slippers.)

Kartavya: "Is layak hai bhi tu, ladki ka dil dukhata hai khotya, ja ab."

(You deserve it. Hurting a girl’s heart—idiot, go now)

Ashvik, feeling overwhelmed and not wanting to endure any more scolding, quickly ran out of the gym, leaving the others to process in silence. The rest of the group followed suit and retreated to their rooms, each lost in their own thoughts. Meanwhile, Rudraksh, still flushed from the intensity of the workout, made his way to another room. He showered and changed into fresh clothes, his body still tingling from the exertion. After a few moments of quiet, he entered his room, only to be greeted by the sight of Ruhanika sitting on the bed. The instant their eyes met, a bright smile spread across her face.

Before Rudraksh could react, Ruhanika dashed toward him, her face glowing with warmth. She threw her arms around his neck in a tight embrace, her excitement and affection palpable. Startled, Rudraksh instinctively wrapped his arms around her waist to support her as she lifted herself up, her feet leaving the ground as she pressed herself against him. Her arms tightened around him, and Rudraksh couldn't help but smile, feeling her happiness radiate through their embrace. He held her gently, lifting her higher to match her excitement.

Rudraksh: "Sohneyo?? Ki hoya??"

(Sweetheart? What happened?)

Ruhanika pulled back slightly, meeting Rudraksh's gaze while still in his arms, her expression one of confusion. Rudraksh had effortlessly lifted her, and as she looked up at him, Rudraksh quickly understood the situation and swiftly rephrased his sentence.

Rudraksh: "Matlab kya hua?? Aise bhag ke gale lag gayi"

(I mean, what happened?? Suddenly, you ran and hugged me.)

Ruhanika grinned mischievously as she cupped Rudraksh's face in her hands, showering him with a series of quick, affectionate kisses. Each kiss seemed to catch him off guard, and soon enough, his face turned bright red with a deep blush. Ruhanika couldn't help but chuckle at his flustered expression, finding it utterly adorable. Rudraksh, embarrassed by the sudden attention, quickly turned his face to the side in an attempt to hide his blush, his cheeks still warm. He gently placed Ruhanika back on her feet, but his hands lingered on her waist for a moment longer, feeling her presence close to him. With a soft smile, Ruhanika took his hand and led him to the bed, guiding him to sit down. She then settled herself in front of him, her legs crossed, and looked up at him with a playful twinkle in her eyes.

Ruhanika: "Hum aapka dhanyawaad karna chahte hai"

(We want to thank you.)

Rudraksh: "Kyu??"

(Why?)

Ruhanika: "Aap jab se humare jeevan me aaye hai, hume sirf khushiya hi mili hai, aapka prem mila, parivar mila aur ab hume humare bhaiyuu bhi mil gaye, sab aapke kaaran, isiliye dhanyawad."

(Ever since you came into my life, I’ve only known happiness. I received your love, a family, and now I even got my brother back, all because of you. So thank you.)

Rudraksh smiled warmly, his eyes filled with affection as he gently cupped Ruhanika's face. He kissed her forehead softly, his touch tender. After a moment, he held her hand.

Rudraksh: "Iski zarurat nahi hai betu, tumhe nahi pata hai mujhe kya mila hai tumhare meri zindagi me aane se."

(There’s no need for that, dear. You have no idea what I’ve gained since you entered my life.)

Ruhanika: "Toh bata dijiye"

(Then tell me.)

Rudraksh smiled again, his expression softening as he gazed at Ruhanika.

Rudraksh: "Abhi nahi, baadme bataunga, par haa ye dobara mujhe thank you kehne ki zarurat nahi hai, tum manti ho ya nahi pata nahi par ab tum mere liye mera hi hissa ho, mera pura ka pura Dil ho, toh apne dil se kaise thank you sunu main??"

(Not now, I’ll tell you later. But yes, there’s no need to thank me again. Whether you believe it or not, you’re a part of me now, my entire heart. So how could I accept thanks from my own heart?)

Ruhanika lowered her head, her cheeks flushing with shyness as she felt the weight of Rudraksh's gaze. Rudraksh couldn’t help but smile, his heart warmed by the sight of her blushing face. To him, her bashful expression was not only endearing but irresistibly cute, making him cherish the moment even more.

Ruhanika: "Hum mante hai aapko humara hi hissa."

(I do believe I’m a part of you.)

With a blushing face, she shyly spoke, her words soft but filled with warmth. Rudraksh couldn’t help but chuckle at her reaction, the sound light and affectionate. She looked up at him, meeting his gaze, and he raised an eyebrow playfully, a teasing smile spreading across his face.

Ruhanika: "Aap dhanyawad nahi lenge, par humne kuch aur banaya aapke liye, vo lenge aap??"

(If you won’t take a thank you, will you at least accept something I made for you?)

Rudraksh: "Ahaaa Ruhh gift layi hai mere liye, toh dijiye na Mallika-e-Aksh."

(Ahhh, Ruhh brought me a gift! So, show me, O Queen of Aksh.)

She blushed deeply once again, the warmth in her cheeks intensifying. Without a word, she rushed to the closet, her steps quick and light. Moments later, she returned, her hands hidden behind her back, a playful glint in her eyes as she looked at Rudraksh, clearly about to reveal something.

Ruhanika: "Aakhein band kijiye."

(Close your eyes.)

Rudraksh: "Jo hukum, Jaan-e-aksh."

(As you command, my Life-of-Aksh.)

Ruhanika: "Hume sharam aaye, aisi baatein band kijiye pehle, Varna hum aapko dekh nahi paayenge."

(Now I feel shy. Stop saying things like that, or I won’t be able to look at you.)

Rudraksh chuckled softly, and then closed his eyes in anticipation. Ruhanika, gently placed a handmade flower crown on his head, her hands careful and delicate as the soft petals rested atop his hair.

Ruhanika: "Kholiye."

(Open your eyes.)

Rudraksh opened his eyes and immediately touched the flower crown on his head, ready to remove it. But before he could, Ruhanika gently stopped him, her hand on his.

Rudraksh: "Jaana ye kya??"

(Oh my, what’s this?)

Ruhanika: "Aap hume aapko Rajkumari kehte hai, toh aap bhi humare Rajkumar huye na isiliye humne ye taaj banaya aapke liye phoolon ka taaj."

(You call me a princess, so you’re also my prince. That’s why I made you this crown—a crown of flowers.)

Ruhanika grinned proudly at her creative work, clearly pleased with the handmade flower crown she had placed on his head. Rudraksh’s heart melted at her gesture, the warmth and tenderness in her eyes making him feel like he was the luckiest. But just as he was basking in the moment, something suddenly struck his mind, and a hint of realization flashed across his face.

Rudraksh: "Betu tum bahar gayi the phool lene??"

(Did you go out to get flowers?)

Rudraksh looked at Ruhanika with a hint of hope in his eyes, his voice soft yet laced with curiosity.

Ruhanika: "Nahi humne kaka se mangvaya."

(No, I asked Kaka to bring them)

Rudraksh: "Ohhh achcha."

(Oh, I see.)

Rudraksh’s expression shifted as disappointment washed over him. His heart had hoped, just for a moment, that Ruhanika was beginning to open up, to let her guard down. But as the reality set in, he realized that it wasn’t quite the breakthrough he had hoped for.

Ruhanika: "Aapko pasand aaya??"

(Do you like it?)

Rudraksh: "Bahaut"

(A lot.)

Ruhanika smiled warmly and Rudraksh poked her dimples. The two of them spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying each other’s company, their laughter filling the room. As the evening arrived, they joined the family, the warmth and love shared among them making the day feel complete and comforting.

Phewwww! Four updates in one week—I'm exhausted but incredibly happy. I started the MKIB group chat on a whim, and now it’s amazing to see everyone interacting there. Some of you even created Instagram accounts for the characters and are managing them like pros!

Thank you all so much—I'm beyond grateful for each of you. Love you all! 💙💙

I know this chapter doesn't have many Rudraksh and Ruhanika scenes, so if things go as planned...

Precap: Their first kiss.

(Ha vahi wali jo aap log soch rahe hai aur bahaut waqt se chaah rahe hai😉)

I’ll share the group chat link on the conversation board, so feel free to join!
