Chapter 48

"43. Peace in his arms"

Mafia King's innocent biwi

"Unke labon ka sparsh jaise gulab ki pankhudiya,

Unki muskaan jaise phoolon ki kaliyan,

Sharam se laal gaal jaise oos ki boondein,

Aakhon me gehrayi aisi kaise meri puri duniya"

(Rudraksh)

Rishwik reached the office in record time, his anger simmering as he thought about the audacity of the person who had called him. The parking lot was almost deserted, and the building seemed eerily quiet, with most of the lights turned off. Only a few dimly lit corners hinted at the presence of the regular guards stationed for security. He parked his car hastily, stepped out, and walked briskly towards the entrance. The stillness of the office, combined with the festive season, was unusual but didn’t deter him. It was Diwali, and the office was officially closed, but he had a mission. With determined steps, he entered the elevator and ascended to his floor.

As the elevator doors opened, he strode purposefully towards his cabin, his mind still preoccupied with irritation. But as he reached the door, he came to an abrupt halt. His breath hitched, and all traces of anger evaporated in an instant, replaced by pure, unadulterated awe. There, right in front of his cabin door, sat Riyanshi. She was leaning against the doorframe, her head tilted slightly to the side, lost in a peaceful slumber. Her golden lehenga, intricately adorned with mirror work, shimmered softly under the faint light, casting a mesmerizing glow around her. The scattered packets of chips and her sandals lying haphazardly nearby added a touch of endearing casualness to the scene.

Rishwik’s heart softened as he took in the sight of her. The delicate rise and fall of her breathing, the serene expression on her face, and the way her lehenga sparkled—it all held him captive. His anger seemed like a distant memory as he stood there, utterly entranced. In that moment, all he could do was marvel at the enchanting vision before him, completely forgetting the purpose of his visit and the storm of emotions that had driven him there.

Rishwik couldn't tear his eyes away from her angelic face, her features glowing softly under the muted light. It was as though time had stopped, and all that existed was this tranquil moment. Without even realizing it, his legs carried him closer to her. Gently, he lowered himself onto his knees, sitting mere inches away, his heart brimming with an unspoken warmth. A soft smile graced his lips as he gazed at her, every detail of her face etched into his mind—the delicate curve of her lips, the faint blush on her cheeks, the serene expression that made her look even more ethereal. A few stray tendrils of hair had fallen onto her face, partially obscuring the captivating view. Almost instinctively, his hand reached out, fingers brushing her skin ever so lightly as he tucked the loose strands behind her ear. The simple gesture made his heart race, but it also brought a touch of reality back into the moment. Riyanshi stirred slightly at his touch, shifting as if sensing his presence. The subtle movement jolted Rishwik out of his reverie. Realizing how utterly lost he had been, he quickly composed himself, straightened his posture, and tried to erase the telltale smile that lingered on his lips.

Turning his face away to mask his emotions, he cleared his throat, the sound echoing faintly in the stillness of the office. With a deep breath, he gathered his resolve and turned back towards her, gently shaking her shoulder.

Rishwik: "Riyanshi, uthooo"

( Riyanshi, wake up!)

Riyanshi slowly opened her eyes, her lashes fluttering as she adjusted to the light. Still drowsy and in her sleepy state, she tilted her head slightly, her gaze landing on Rishwik's face. A soft, cute smile curved her lips as she admired his handsome features. Rishwik noticed her sweet, innocent expression and smirked mischievously, leaning closer to her.

Rishwik: "Mast dikhta hu na"

(Don’t I look amazing?)

Riyanshi: "Bahaut"

(A lot.)

Rishwik: "Toh taadna band karo mujhe aur uthoo idiot."

(Then stop staring at me and get up, idiot.)

Fully awake now, Riyanshi's smile faded as she narrowed her eyes and shot him a glare.

Rishwik: "Pagal ho kya tum, ye koi jagah hai sone ki, aur aaj chutti thi kar kya Rahi ho yaha bewakoof ladki."

(Are you crazy? Is this a place to sleep? And what are you even doing here on your day off, you foolish girl?)

Riyanshi: "tum bewakoof ho, tumhari vajah se hu main yaha"

(You’re the fool! I’m here because of you.)

Rishwik: "matlab??"

(What do you mean?)

Riyanshi: "Tumne hi bola tha main bahaut unprofessional hu, aur tumhe designs Diwali tak chahiye toh main vahi designs dene aayi thi."

(You’re the one who said I’m very unprofessional, and you needed the designs by Diwali. So, I came here to deliver them.)

Rishwik facepalmed himself in exasperation, shaking his head at her stupidity.

Rishwik: "toh pagal aaj chutti thi toh kal de deti na aur designs rakh ke chali jaati yaha night out karne kyu baith gayi??"

(But today’s a holiday. You could’ve given them tomorrow. Or you could’ve just left them here and gone home. Why sit around for a night out?)

Riyanshi glared at him fiercely and threw the designs file onto his chest. Rishwik shot her a deadly glare in response, his patience clearly wearing thin.

Riyanshi: "mujhe bhi koi shaukh nhi chadha hai baithne ka, main toh Jane hi wali thi par meri heel Tut gayi aur main gir gayi."

(As if I wanted to stay! I was about to leave, but my heel broke, and I fell.)

Riyanshi spoke in a soft, tearful voice, her words barely audible as she looked up at Rishwik. Rishwik's eyes immediately softened with concern as he looked down at her swollen feet. His heart ached seeing her in pain.

Riyanshi: "Avyu call nahi utha Rahi thi, mujhe aur kuch samjha nahi isiliye tumhe call Kiya."

(Avyu wasn’t answering my call. I didn’t know what else to do, so I called you.)

Rishwik: "ab tumse thik se chala bhi nahi jaata hai."

(You can’t even walk properly now, can you?)

Riyanshi: "ab tum mujhe daanto nahi mujhe dard ho raha hai."

(Don’t scold me. I’m already in pain.)

Rishwik: "ha isiliye tum so gayi na"

(Yeah, so you decided to sleep here instead?)

Riyanshi: "ha toh pain se distract hone ke liye kuch toh karna padta hai na toh main khane lagi par 4 packet chips ke baad bhi kuch nahi hua toh main so gayi."

(Obviously! I needed something to distract me from the pain. First, I tried eating, but even after four packets of chips, it didn’t help, so I slept.)

Rishwik's eyes widened in shock as he saw 4 chips wrappers on the floor.

Rishwik: "4 Packet chips?? Jaata kaha hai itna"

( Four packets of chips? Where does all that even go?)

Riyanshi glared at him, her frustration evident.

Rishwik: "Achcha aao main help karta hu."

(Fine, come on. Let me help you.)

Rishwik carefully supported her back with one hand, his other hand holding hers to help her stand. As soon as Riyanshi stood up, a soft whine of pain escaped her lips, and she bent slightly, trying to ease the discomfort. Her eyes filled with tears as the pain in her swollen feet intensified, and she fought to keep her composure. Rishwik's face softened with sympathy, and he gently pulled her closer, his hands steadying her.

Riyanshi: "Ahhh, nahi nahi vapas bitha do, main nahi chal paungi."

(Ahhh, no, no! Put me back down. I can’t walk.)

Rishwik looked at Riyanshi's teary eyes, and something stirred within him—an overwhelming urge to protect her. He couldn’t stand seeing her in pain. Without thinking twice, he quickly scooped her up in his arms, cradling her gently but firmly. The unexpectedness of his actions caused Riyanshi’s eyes to widen in surprise, but she quickly responded, instinctively wrapping her arms around his neck to steady herself.  The closeness took her by surprise, but the comfort of being held like this made her feel safe. Rishwik glanced down at her, his eyes filled with concern as he adjusted his hold, not wanting to cause her any more discomfort.

Riyanshi: "Ye kya kar rahe ho tum??"

(What are you doing now?)

Rishwik: "Chup ekdum, kuch nahi bolegi Varna abhi fek dunga vapas."

(Be quiet. Don’t say a word, or I’ll throw you back down right now.)

Riyanshi went silent, her emotions still swirling as Rishwik carefully carried her inside his cabin. Once there, he gently placed her on the couch, making sure she was comfortable before lying her down. He switched on the lights, the soft glow filling the room as he focused on taking care of her.

Rishwik reached for the first aid kit in the drawer, his movements steady and purposeful. He sat down near her feet, carefully lifting them onto his lap. Riyanshi, still in a daze from the sudden attention, couldn’t help but admire him. A soft smile spread across her face as she watched him, feeling a warmth in her chest at his tender care. As he sprayed the relief spray on her swollen feet, Rishwik's touch was gentle, his focus entirely on making her feel better.

Riyanshi (thought): "Itna bura bhi nahi hai, agar apna khadoos pana ghar pe chod ke aaye toh dikhta bhi thik thak hai"

(He’s not so bad. If he left his grumpy attitude at home, he’d actually look decent.)

Her subconscious: "Thik thak ya mast??"

(Decent or amazing?)

Riyanshi (Thought): "Maal lagta hai maal, meri dushmani nahi hoti isse toh ek baar flirt zarur karti, line marti thoda."

(He’s a total catch. If we weren’t enemies, I’d definitely flirt with him a bit. Maybe even make a move.)

She couldn't help but giggle at her own thoughts, finding a bit of amusement in the situation despite the discomfort. Rishwik, raising an eyebrow in curiosity, looked at her as if expecting an explanation. She simply shook her head, the playful glint in her eyes betraying her earlier frustration. With a gentle yet focused demeanor, Rishwik finished wrapping a crepe bandage around her swollen feet, making sure it was secure but not too tight.

Rishwik: "Chalo tumhe ghar chod deta hu."

(Let’s go. I’ll drop you home.)

Riyanshi: "Main chali jaungi"

(I can go myself.)

Rishwik: "Kaise?? Girte padte?? Aur phir uska blame bhi mujhpe hi daalogi."

(How? Stumbling and falling? And then you’ll blame me for it, too.)

Riyanshi: "Zyada na taana Marne ki zarurat nahi hai, aur haa chalo mujhe ghar chodo kyuki meri ye halat tumhari vajah se hi hai."

(There’s no need to be so sarcastic. Fine, take me home, because this mess is your fault anyway.)

Rishwik: "Youuu...."

Riyanshi: "Chalo chalo late ho raha hai."

(Come on, come on. We’re getting late.)

Riyanshi extended her hand towards him, silently asking him to pick her up. Rishwik shot her a glare, clearly annoyed by her stubbornness, but despite his expression, he carefully scooped her up in his arms.  As they started moving toward the door, ready to step outside, Riyanshi suddenly stopped him. She looked up at him, her expression thoughtful.

Riyanshi: "Rukoo rukoo"

(Wait, wait!)

Rishwik: "ab kya hai"

(What now?)

Riyanshi: "Meri sandals."

(My sandals!)

Rishwik: "tut toh gayi hai kya karogi uska"

(They’re broken. What will you do with them?)

Riyanshi: "Meri favourite hai, aur branded bhi hai"

(They’re my favorite and branded too!)

Rishwik: "Main nayi de dunga, aur ab chup raho."

(I’ll get you a new pair. Now, keep quiet.)

Riyanshi: "Haa vaise bhi tuti tumhari vajah se hai."

(Well, they broke because of you anyway.)

Rishwik: "Kal ko kahi bhukamp aayega na uska blame bhi mujhpe daal dena."

(Tomorrow, if there’s an earthquake, you’ll blame me for that too, won’t you?)

Riyanshi: "Ha toh galat kya hai usme??"

(What’s wrong with that?)

Rishwik shot her a stern look, but she couldn't help but giggle in response.

Riyanshi: "achcha Mujhe sath le jana new sandals lene, apni pasand ke lungi."

(Oh, and take me along when you buy the new sandals. I’ll pick the ones I like.)

Rishwik shot her a fierce glare, but she just grinned in response.

Rishwik: "Agar chahti ho ki 20th floor se niche nahi feku toh chup raho."

(If you don’t want me to throw you off the 20th floor, stay quiet.)

Riyanshi: "Itni himmat hai bhi nhi tum ne."

(You don’t even have the guts to do that.)

Riyanshi giggled softly, her amusement quickly turning into fright as Rishwik playfully acted as though he was going to drop her. She immediately tightened her grip around his neck, her eyes wide with surprise. Rishwik smirked at her reaction, clearly enjoying teasing her. Riyanshi shot him a glare, but opted to stay quiet. Once they reached her car, Rishwik carefully settled her in, making sure she was comfortable. He got in the driver's seat and began driving towards Avyukta's home, where both Riyanshi and Avyukta lived together. The journey was quiet, but Rishwik kept an eye on her, his concern never far from his thoughts. When they reached their society and he stopped the car, he looked over to find that Riyanshi had already fallen asleep, her head resting gently against the seat. A soft smile crossed Rishwik’s face as he watched her sleep peacefully. Leaning closer, he caressed her cheek with a tenderness that belied his usual teasing demeanor.

Rishwik: "Bilkul bachcho jaisa chehra par muh kholte hi angaare barsati hai."

(Such a sweet face, but the moment you open your mouth, fire comes out.)

Rishwik chuckled softly as he gazed at Riyanshi, still peacefully asleep in his car. He carefully carried her inside her society, making sure not to wake her. Once inside, he rang the doorbell. The door opened to reveal Avyukta, who smiled warmly at the sight of Riyanshi being carried. Amandeep was also standing nearby, his expression filled with curiosity. Rishwik gently placed Riyanshi down on the couch, making sure she was comfortable before turning to speak with Avyukta and Amandeep. After a brief conversation, Rishwik bid them farewell and began heading back. Amandeep, ever the playful one, couldn't resist teasing Rishwik the entire ride back.

At RM Mansion,

After everyone had finished dinner, the atmosphere was light and cheerful, except for Rudraksh and Ashvik, who were visibly irritated. Aakarsh had spent the entire evening complimenting Ruhanika and Akshavi, and the ladies, smiled unknowingly. Meanwhile, Kartavya and Savisha were in their own world, lost in their sweet and affectionate exchange, oblivious to the silent drama unfolding. As everyone began to make their way toward their respective rooms, Karanjeet’s voice rang out, stopping Rudraksh, Ashvik, and Kartavya in their tracks. The three exchanged puzzled glances before turning back to face him, curious about what he wanted to discuss.

Karanjeet: "Teeno zara mere sath aana, aur Kriti puttar Aakarsh nu uska room dikha de zara."

(All three of you, come with me for a moment. And Kriti, dear, please show Aakarsh his room.)

Aakarsh’s face lit up with excitement as a wide grin spread across his lips. Kritika, however, wasn’t as amused. She shot him a sharp glare, but her icy look had no effect on him whatsoever. Instead, he seemed even more amused, his grin growing as if he thrived on her reactions.

Ashvik: "Dadu bas Papa aur Shavi ko car tak drop karke aata hu."

(Grandpa, I'll just drop Dad and Shavi at the car and be right back.)

Karanjeet nodded in acknowledgment, signaling the end of the conversation, and they all dispersed. As they walked away, Rudraksh leaned closer to Ruhanika, his warm breath brushing against her ear as he whispered something softly.

Rudraksh: "Ruhh tum kamre me jao, par change mat karna main aata hu."

(Ruhh, you go to your room, but don’t change. I’ll be there soon.)

Ruhanika: "Ji thik hai."

(Okay, sure.)

Ruhanika smiled warmly at him, her expression so tender that it instantly melted Rudraksh’s heart. Unable to resist the moment, he gently patted her cheek, his touch filled with affection, before turning and walking away with a soft smile lingering on his face.

Kartavya: "Mahiye, go and only rest main aata hu help karne akele change nhi karna don't exhaust yourself."

(Sweetheart, go and rest. I’ll come to help you. Don’t try to change by yourself; don’t exhaust yourself.)

Savisha: "Ji baby ke papa."

(Yes baby's Dad)

Both exchanged a warm smile before Rudraksh and Kartavya followed Karanjeet out of the room. Meanwhile, Kritika led Aakarsh to his assigned room, her expression a mix of annoyance and responsibility. Savisha and Ruhanika then headed off to their respective rooms, the house gradually settling into a peaceful quiet.

Kritika and Aakarsh stepped into the guest room, the air thick with unspoken tension. Aakarsh, however, seemed completely unfazed, a wide grin plastered across his face as if he found the entire situation amusing. Kritika finally lost her patience, spinning around to face him. Without a word, she gave him a light push, her frustration evident.

Kritika: "Mera picha karte aaye ho na yaha tum?? Main bata rahi hu tum na jante nahi ho mujhe, kya karungi main bhi nahi janti."

(Did you follow me here? I’m telling you, you don’t know me. Even I don’t know what I might do.)

Aakarsh gently took hold of Kritika’s hand, his touch firm yet considerate, and pulled her slightly closer to him. Though the gesture closed some of the distance between them, he was careful to maintain a respectful space. Leaning down slightly to match her height, his eyes locked onto hers, a playful yet sincere expression softening his features.

Aakarsh: "Mujhe bas in neeli aakhon me dekhne do, baaki jo chahe karo, uff tak nahi karunga meethiye."

(Just let me look into your beautiful blue eyes, and do whatever you want after that. I won’t say a word, my sweet one.)

Kritika stared at him in disbelief, her eyes wide with astonishment. She couldn’t wrap her head around the audacity of the situation—here she was, trying to scold him, and instead of taking her seriously, he was casually flirting with her.

Kritika: "Dimaag thikane toh hai tumhara?? Aur durr raho mujhse you Ziddi doctor."

(Are you out of your mind? And stay away from me, you stubborn doctor.)

Kritika, still flustered and exasperated, pushed him away again, this time with a bit more force. Aakarsh, however, only chuckled in response.

Aakarsh: "jaisa aap kahe meethiye. Btw flight me seatbelt buckled karne ke liye thanks Pari."

(As you say, sweetheart. By the way, thanks for helping me buckle my seatbelt on the flight, Pari.)

Kritika: "Galti ho gayi, nahi karna chahiye tha, aur ye kya meethiye laga rakha hai??"

(That was a mistake; I shouldn’t have done it. And what’s with this "sweetheart" business?)

Aakarsh: "Ab aap hai hi itni pyaari toh aur kya hi bolu, vaise bhi naam ab tak bataya nahi hai aapne Ms. Kritika."

(Well, you’re so lovely, what else should I call you? Besides, you haven’t told me your name yet, Ms. Kritika.)

Kritika: "Niche suna toh tha, wait...."

(You heard it downstairs, wait...)

Kritika shot him a fierce glare, her patience running thin, but Aakarsh only chuckled in response, clearly enjoying the playful tension between them.

Kritika: "Go to hell."

Aakarsh: "Along with you."

Kritika gave Aakarsh one last fierce glare before turning on her heel and leaving the room, her frustration still evident. Meanwhile, Aakarsh couldn't help but smile to himself as he settled down on the bed. He lay back, his mind replaying the image of Kritika’s flushed face and the way she’d reacted to him. A soft, satisfied smile lingered on his lips as he basked in the memory, clearly enjoying the playful exchange.

Aakarsh: "Meri pari, saddi Meethiye."

(My angel, my sweetheart.)

Aakarsh grinned widely, looking every bit like a lovesick puppy. He couldn’t contain his excitement as he hugged a pillow tightly, rolling around in his bed with an almost childlike enthusiasm. The joy on his face was unmistakable, as he replayed the moment with Kritika over and over in his mind, unable to wipe the goofy grin off his face.

In Karanjeet's room, Kartavya, Rudraksh, and Ashvik stood in front of him, their expressions serious yet expectant. They were all gathered, waiting for Karanjeet to speak, aware that whatever was about to be discussed was important.

Kartavya: "Ji Dadu, boliye kya baat hai??"

(Yes, Grandpa? What’s the matter?)

Karanjeet: "Rishwik aur Aman ko bhi aa jane de."

(Wait for Rishwik and Amandeep to arrive.)

Soon, Rishwik and Amandeep joined the group, walking into Karanjeet's room.

Rishwik: "Kya hua Dadu, jaldi me kyu bulaya??"

(What happened, Grandpa? Why did you call us so urgently?)

Karanjeet: "Baitho saree"

(Everyone, sit down.)

They all took their seats on the couch, their expressions filled with confusion and curiosity.

Karanjeet: "Baat ko ghumaunga nahi, seedhe puchta hu, Aakarsh kaisa laga tum sabko??"

(I won't beat around the bush, I'll ask directly—how did you all find Aakarsh?)

Kartavya: "Achcha ladka hai, pehle ek baar Mila hu bachpan me."

( He seems like a nice guy. I met him once in childhood.)

Rudraksh: "Ek number ka chipku hai, kitni baatein karta hai, Kabhi dekha hai Ruhh ko itni jaldi kisi ke sath comfortable hone me, par ye... Ye aate hi use apni taraf kar raha hai."

(He’s super clingy. Have you ever seen Ruhh get so comfortable with someone this quickly? But this guy... he came and immediately won her over.)

Ashvik: "Vahi toh aur Shavi se aise baatein kar raha tha jaise saalon purana dost hai, matlab bhai duri bana thoda"

(Exactly! And the way he was talking to Shavi, it was like they were old friends. I mean, keep some distance, dude.)

The group couldn’t help but laugh as they noticed Rudraksh and Ashvik’s clear possessiveness over their ladies. It was impossible to ignore how the two were trying to subtly assert their dominance, especially with Aakarsh’s constant compliments toward Ruhanika and Akshavi. The others found it both amusing and endearing, teasing the two about how protective they were.

Karanjeet: "chup Karo dono, aur sidhe sidhe batao kaisa hai??"

(Both of you, be quiet, and tell me clearly—what do you think of him?)

Rishwik: "Pata nahi Dadu main toh Mila bhi nahi hu."

(I don’t know, Grandpa. I haven’t met him yet.)

Amandeep: "Main ek baar London me Mila tha Dadu, I guess Doctor hai ab Aakarsh bhai, achche hai"

(I met him once in London, Grandpa. I think Aakarsh is a doctor now. He’s a good guy.)

Kartavya: "Aise kyu puch rahe hai aap Dadu??"

(Why are you asking, Grandpa?)

Karanjeet: "Maine Aakarsh ko Kritika ke liye pasand kiya hai."

(I have chosen Aakarsh for Kritika.)

The lighthearted laughter gradually faded, and the group fell into a brief, contemplative silence. The weight of the conversation that was about to unfold seemed to hang in the air. After a few moments, Kartavya and Rudraksh simultaneously stood up from their seats, their expressions turning more serious. The shift in their demeanor was noticeable.

Rudraksh: "Dadu, kya keh rahe hai aap?? Jante hai na kriti abhi hii..."

(Grandpa, what are you saying? You know Kriti just...)

Kartavya: "Dadu main Kriti ko force nahi karne wala, vo aise hi khush hai toh kya dikkat hai??"

(Grandpa, I don’t want to force Kriti. She’s happy as she is, so what’s the problem?)

Karanjeet: "Kaise pata khush hai?? Usne aake apne man ki baat ki tujhse??"

(How do you know she’s happy? Has she ever come and shared her feelings with you?)

Kartavya and Rudraksh went silent once again, their expressions hardening as the weight of the situation sank in.

Ashvik: "Par Dadu, abhi abhi toh uske sath aise hua tha toh.."

(But Grandpa, something terrible happened with her just recently...)

Karanjeet: "5 mahine hone aaye hai us baat ko, aur aisa toh hai nahi ki Kritika us Sachet se pyaar karti thi, dost hi thi aur usne uske sath batameezi.."

(It’s been five months now, and it’s not like Kritika was ever in love with Sachet. They were just friends, and he misbehaved with her...)

The others, sensing the shift, felt a surge of anger building inside them. Everyone's jaws clenched tightly, and their fists instinctively tightened as they thought of Sachet. The mere mention of his name, or the thought of his actions, seemed to ignite a fire in each of them. Their blood boiled with frustration and fury, and they shared a mutual understanding: it was time to take action.

Karanjeet: "apni zindagi me ek jeevan sathi toh vo bhi deserve karti hai na, aur Aakarsh khush rakh sakta hai use. Ek baar soch ke dekho tum sab."

(She deserves a life partner too, doesn’t she? And Aakarsh can make her happy. Just think about it.)

As Karanjeet spoke, the weight of his words sank in, and the group gradually understood the depth of the situation. They all exchanged quiet, knowing glances, realizing that Karanjeet was right. They wanted nothing more than for their sister to find happiness, and they recognized that there were aspects of her life she likely kept to herself—things that she wouldn't share with just anyone. Each of them understood that she needed someone special, someone who could offer her the support and care she deserved, someone who would be there for her in ways they couldn't. There was a mix of concern and understanding in their eyes as they processed everything. They knew they would stand by her no matter what, but they also knew she needed someone who could truly understand her on a deeper level.

Kartavya: "Fine. Now that he’s here, we’ll observe him."

Rudraksh: "And the moment he makes Kriti uncomfortable, he’ll be six feet under."

Karanjeet: "Agreed."

After a moment of shared understanding, the group silently stood up, each of them deep in thought about the conversation that had just unfolded. One by one, they left the room, heading toward their respective rooms.

Kartavya and Savisha's room,

The moment Kartavya entered the room, his eyes immediately landed on Savisha, who was removing her bangles. The sight of her, so peaceful and familiar, instantly melted the tension that had built up inside him. He moved toward her, his steps quiet but deliberate, and wrapped his arms around her from behind in a tender back hug. His hands gently caressed her stomach, a silent gesture of reassurance and love. Savisha, feeling the change in his demeanor, sensed that something was weighing on him. Without a word, she relaxed into his embrace, allowing herself to be enveloped by his warmth. She placed his hand firmly over her stomach, silently offering him comfort and grounding him in the moment.

Savisha: "Kya hua, kis baat se pareshan hai."

(What happened? What’s bothering you?)

Kartavya smiled softly, his eyes closed in contentment as he inhaled the sweet fragrance of Savisha’s hair. The familiar scent seemed to calm his racing thoughts, grounding him in the warmth of her presence.

Kartavya: "Dadu ne Kriti ke liye Aakarsh ko pasand kiya hai"

(Grandpa has chosen Aakarsh for Kriti.)

Savisha: "Aur past ki vajah se aapko darr lag raha hai na??"

(And you’re scared because of her past, aren’t you?)

Kartavya nodded quietly, his eyes still closed, savoring the comfort of her presence. Savisha, sensing his need for reassurance, gently placed her palm on his face. Her touch was soft and tender, and as her fingers traced the contours of his face, it seemed to calm him even further.

Savisha: "Aapko nahi lagta Kriti sari khushiyan deserve karti hai??"

(Don’t you think Kriti deserves all the happiness in the world?)

Kartavya: "Karti hai main dena bhi chahta hu, jaan basti hai meri usme, par phir se hurt hote nahi dekh paunga."

(She does, and I want to give it to her. My world revolves around her, but I won’t be able to bear seeing her hurt again.)

Savisha: "Aakarsh achcha ladka lag raha hai, aapko chahiye toh background check Kara lijiye, phir bhi thik na Lage toh keh dena, hmm??"

(Aakarsh seems like a good guy. If you want, get a background check done. And if it still doesn’t feel right, then say no. Hmm?)

Kartavya: "Hmm. Now let me talk to the junior."

Kartavya gently turned Savisha around, guiding her to sit on the Ottoman. Once she was settled, he lowered himself to the floor, sitting directly in front of her. Without saying a word, he leaned in and wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close. His head rested against her stomach as he sought solace in her presence.

Kartavya: "Heyy junior, papa here, thik hai na ap andar."

(Hey junior, Papa here. You’re okay in there, right?)

Savisha smiled softly, her heart swelling with affection as she gently began stroking Kartavya's hair. Her fingers moved through his hair in slow, soothing motions, as if trying to calm not just him, but herself as well.

In Ruhanika and Rudraksh’s room, Ruhanika sat on the bed, engrossed in her phone. She had been waiting for Rudraksh, wondering why he had asked her not to change yet. A soft giggle escaped her lips as she played games, her laughter light and carefree. The moment Rudraksh entered the room, all his tension seemed to melt away. Just one look at his wife, with her radiant smile and the sweet sound of her giggles, was enough to lift his spirits. His heart warmed, and he couldn’t help but smile as he walked slowly toward her. Ruhanika noticed him approaching, her grin widening, and she was about to stand to greet him. But before she could rise, Rudraksh gently placed a hand on her shoulder, making her sit back down. He then sat down in front of her, his eyes soft but intense as he simply gazed at her. Ruhanika frowned in confusion, her fingers pausing on the screen of her phone.

Ruhanika: "Aise kya dekh rahe hai aap?? Humare chehre pe kuch hai kya??"

(Why are you looking at me like that? Is there something on my face?)

Ruhanika was about to touch her face, lost in her thoughts, when Rudraksh suddenly reached out and gently held both of her hands. His grip was firm yet reassuring, pulling her attention back to him.

Rudraksh: "Mallika-e-Aksh itni pyaari lag rahi hai aap, kuch pal niharne toh dijiye."

(My Queen of Aksh, you look so beautiful; let me admire you for a while.)

Ruhanika felt a rush of warmth spread across her cheeks as she lowered her head, unable to meet Rudraksh's intense gaze. Her heart fluttered in the quiet moment, and the soft blush on her face deepened. Rudraksh, noticing her shyness, gently lifted her chin with his fingers, guiding her to look at him. As her eyes slowly fluttered closed in response, she felt the tenderness in his touch.

Rudraksh: "Aakhein toh kholo Jaan."

(Open your eyes, love.)

Ruhanika shook her head with a shy smile, the warmth of the moment making her feel both vulnerable and adored. Rudraksh’s gaze softened as he saw her smile, his heart swelling with affection. He reached up, his fingers gently caressing her cheek, as if memorizing the softness of her skin.

Rudraksh: "Kyuu??"

(Why?)

Ruhanika: "Hume sharam aa rahi hai aapki aakhon me dekhne se, na jaane kya hai aapki aakhon ke tejj me."

(I feel shy looking into your eyes. There’s something about the brilliance in your gaze.)

Rudraksh smiled softly, his eyes filled with warmth and affection as he watched Ruhanika. He marveled at how she seemed to sense the intensity of his gaze, even though she couldn't fully comprehend the depth of the love behind it. There was something about the way she responded to him, as if her heart already knew the emotions he often struggled to express. He admired her more in that moment, appreciating her vulnerability and the unspoken bond between them that went beyond words.

Rudraksh: "Bas sachcha pyaar hai meri aakhon me Ruhh, tumhare liye."

(There’s only pure love in my eyes for you, Ruhh.)

Ruhanika smiled softly as she slowly opened her eyes, her gaze full of warmth and affection for him. She couldn’t quite hold his gaze, so she quickly wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug. He chuckled softly, enjoying the moment, and effortlessly pulled her onto his lap. With her nestled against him, he stood up, cradling her in his arms as he moved toward the closet, carrying her with a sense of calm and care.

Rudraksh: "Aao tumhari help kar deta hu."

(Let me help you.)

Rudraksh gently guided Ruhanika to sit on the Ottoman, ensuring she was comfortable. His touch was tender and careful as he began to help her remove her jewelry. Slowly, he unclasped her earrings, one by one, and then worked on the delicate bangles on her wrist. Each movement was intentional, his focus solely on her, as he treated each piece of jewelry with the same care he showed her. Ruhanika watched him, feeling a sense of warmth in his attention to detail. It was a quiet, intimate moment, with Rudraksh silently expressing his love through these small acts of kindness.

Rudraksh: "jao ab change kar lo, take warm bath, thand aane lagi hai bimaar nahi padna hai."

(Now go and change, take a warm bath. It’s getting cold, and I don’t want you to fall sick.)

Ruhanika: "Aap pehle chale jaiye, hum tab tak Rishi Bhai ko khana de de??"

(You go first. In the meantime, let me give Rishi Bhai his food.)

Rudraksh: "Vo le lega Ruhh"

(He’ll take it himself, Ruhh.)

Ruhanika: "Hume ek baar puchne toh dijiye"

(Let me ask him once.)

Rudraksh smiled softly, his eyes twinkling with amusement as he shook his head gently.

Rudraksh: "Jaoo"

(Go on.)

Ruhanika flashed a playful smile, her eyes sparkling with mischief, before she dashed away from Rudraksh, leaving him chuckling softly to himself. Her infectious energy always managed to brighten the room. As she disappeared into another part of the house, Rudraksh couldn’t help but shake his head in amusement, his heart light with happiness. Later, with a contented sigh, he made his way to the bathroom to take a bath. The day's events had been filled with small, beautiful moments that made him appreciate the quiet yet meaningful connection he shared with Ruhanika even more.

A few minutes later, Rudraksh emerged from the bathroom, dressed in his usual black vest and white sweatpants. He was in the process of wiping his damp hair with a towel, unaware that Ruhanika had quietly entered the room at the same time. She stopped in her tracks at the door, her gaze fixed on him. The sight of him, looking effortlessly handsome in his casual attire, made her heart skip a beat. She admired the way the soft light from the room highlighted the contours of his face, and how comfortable he looked in his own skin.

Rudraksh: "Kha liya Rishi ne??"

(Did Rishi eat?)

Rudraksh didn’t receive any response from Ruhanika, so he glanced up from wiping his hair and caught her staring at him with admiration. A faint blush crept up his neck as he realized she had been watching him. Though a bit shy at first, the smile playing on his lips showed he enjoyed the attention. Slowly, he moved toward her, his steps measured and purposeful. As he reached her, he bent down slightly, bringing himself closer to her level, his gaze never leaving hers.

Rudraksh: "Kya dekh rahi ho Ruhh??"

(What are you looking at, Ruhh?)

Rudraksh asked in a husky voice, his gaze locking with hers.

Ruhanika: "Aapko, aap kitne Sundar hai, man bharta hi nahi hai, aur kabhi kabhi toh lagta hai bas sama jaye aap ne, ekdum pass aane ko dil chahta hai."

(You. You are so beautiful; I can’t get enough of you. Sometimes I feel like merging into you. I just want to be close to you.)

Rudraksh could feel the warmth rising to his cheeks as he bent closer to Ruhanika, her unwavering gaze still on him. He was trying to suppress the blush that was threatening to spread across his face, but the intensity of the moment made it hard. Meanwhile, Ruhanika seemed lost in her own world, absorbed in her thoughts, completely unaware of his presence. Not able to resist any longer, Rudraksh gently shook her by the shoulder, pulling her back from her reverie.

Rudraksh: "Jaoo change karlo paglu."

(Go change, silly.)

Ruhanika realized that Rudraksh had caught her stealing glances at him, and her cheeks flushed in embarrassment. Without saying a word, she quickly ran into the washroom, trying to escape the situation. Rudraksh chuckled at her adorable reaction, shaking his head as he walked into their room. Settling down, he patiently waited for his wife, knowing she would come back soon.

After a while, Ruhanika emerged from the washroom, her face still slightly pink. Without meeting his eyes, she grabbed Rudraksh’s hand and started pulling him gently. Confused but intrigued, Rudraksh allowed her to lead, a soft smile playing on his lips as he wondered what was on her mind this time.

Rudraksh: "Kya hua betu??"

(What happened, love?)

Ruhanika: "Skin care bhool gaye aap, chaliye hume aapki twacha ka khayal rakhne dijiye"

(You forgot your skincare routine. Let me take care of your skin.)

Rudraksh shook his head, a fond smile tugging at his lips as he watched Ruhanika’s obsession with skin care. He followed her as she insisted on doing both their routines. She meticulously applied products on his face, all the while chatting about her favorite skin care tips. After they finished, the couple settled into a cozy cuddle, with Rudraksh lying on his back and Ruhanika resting over him. He gently stroked her hair, the soothing motion bringing a sense of calm to both of them. Meanwhile, Ruhanika traced random patterns on his chest with her fingers, completely immersed in the comfort of the moment. She was enjoying the tranquility of their closeness, while Rudraksh simply basked in the warmth of her presence.

Rudraksh: "Betu suno"

(Love, listen)

Ruhanika: "Jiii"

(Yess)

Rudraksh: "Tumhe Aakarsh kaisa laga??"

(How did you find Aakarsh?)

Ruhanika placed her chin on Rudraksh's chest, her eyes softening as she looked up at him. A small smile played on her lips.

Ruhanika: "Aakarsh bhaiya achche hai, vo humse bahaut si baatein bhi karte hai."

(Aakarsh Bhaiya is nice. He talks a lot with me.)

Rudraksh: "Dadu ne Aakarsh ko Kriti ke liye pasand kiya hai."

(Dadu has chosen Aakarsh for Kritika.)

Ruhanika: "Hum samjhe nahi"

(I don't understand.)

Rudraksh: "Dadu, Kriti aur Aakarsh ki shadi karana chahte hai"

(Dadu wants Kritika and Aakarsh to get married.)

Ruhanika's eyes sparkled with excitement as she quickly sat up, her grin widening. She couldn't contain her enthusiasm, her energy filling the room as she playfully bounced on the bed.

Ruhanika: "Arehh wahh, ye toh kitni achchi baat hai, kitna mazaa aayega na Akshh."

(Oh wow, that's such good news! It'll be so much fun, Aksh.)

Rudraksh gently pulled Ruhanika back onto his chest, wrapping his arms around her protectively. She nestled against him, feeling the warmth and comfort of his embrace.

Rudraksh: "Agar Kritika haa bolegi tabhi, agar use Aakarsh pasand nahi aaya toh?"

(Only if Kritika agrees. What if she doesn't like Aakarsh?)

Ruhanika: "Toh koi baat nahi, agar shiv ji ne unki kismat me Aakarsh bhaiya ko likha hoga toh mil jayenge, Varna hum sab hai na Kriti didi ka khayal rakhne ke liye."

(Then it's fine. If Lord Shiva has written their destiny together, they'll be united. Otherwise, we're all here to take care of Kriti Didi.)

Rudraksh smiled warmly and leaned down to kiss Ruhanika's forehead, his lips lingering for a moment, as if savoring the softness of the moment. Ruhanika closed her eyes, a contented sigh escaping her as she felt the love and tenderness in his gesture.

Rudraksh: "Bahaut samajhdar ho tum."

(You're very smart)

Ruhanika: "Shukriya."

(Thank you)

Rudraksh smiled as Ruhanika hid her face dramatically, her giggles filling the air. He couldn't help but laugh along, his eyes twinkling with affection. With a playful grin, he gently turned her on the bed, leaning over her as his hands softly rested beside her.

Rudraksh: "Samajhdar ke sath sath bahaut shararti bhi ho."

(Along with being smart, you're also very mischievous.)

Rudraksh’s heart skipped a beat as Ruhanika wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer. He could feel the warmth of her embrace, and for a moment, everything else seemed to fade away. Ruhanika’s soft chuckles filled the space between them, and his lips curled into a smile. He tightened his arms around her, enjoying the sweetness of the moment, their laughter mixing with the soft beat of their hearts.

Ruhanika: "Aur aapke seene tak hi sahi par hum bade bhi ho gaye hai"

(And even if I only reach up to your chest, I've grown up now.)

Rudraksh met Ruhanika's intense gaze, and for a moment, everything around them seemed to still. He could sense the unspoken emotions in her eyes, the desires she was holding back. His heart skipped a beat as he gently cupped her face, his touch tender yet full of understanding. He knew exactly what she was feeling, and without a word, he leaned in, his forehead resting against hers, silently assuring her.

Rudraksh: "Achcha toh chalo kuch bado wali harkatein karte hai"

(Oh, is that so? Then let's do something grown-up.)

Ruhanika’s eyes sparkled, a soft glow of warmth and affection reflecting in them. Her cheeks flushed a deep shade of red, and she lowered her gaze, a shy smile tugging at the corners of her lips. The mixture of vulnerability and love in her expression made the moment even more intimate, as if her heart was speaking without uttering a word. Her body language spoke volumes—she was completely immersed in the moment, yet shy in the most endearing way.

Ruhanika: "Aap phir se hume vaha kiss karenge??"

(Are you going to kiss me there again?)

Rudraksh: "Vaha kaha Ruhh??"

(Where, Ruhh)

Ruhanika shot an annoyed look at Rudraksh, fully aware that he had understood her words but was teasing her anyway. Her lips curled into a pout, a mix of frustration and playfulness evident on her face. She huffed in mock irritation.

Ruhanika: "Jaiye mat kijiye kuch, hatiye hum so rahe hai, vo bhi aapse Durr, hum..."

(Never mind, don't do anything. Move away. I'm going to sleep, far away from you. I...)

Rudraksh gently placed his finger on Ruhanika's lips, silencing her pout. He leaned in and kissed her forehead softly, a gesture filled with tenderness and affection. His eyes lingered on her face, filled with warmth as he brushed a stray lock of hair behind her ear, making sure she knew how much he adored her, despite the playful teasing.

Rudraksh: "Achcha baba Sorry, now may I??"

(Okay, okay, I'm sorry. Now, may I?)

A cute, shy smile slowly spread across Ruhanika's face as she nodded, her eyes sparkling with a mix of affection and bashfulness. The warmth of the moment wrapped around her, and she couldn't help but feel a flutter in her chest as Rudraksh's gaze lingered on her, making her heart race just a little faster.

Ruhanika: "Yes, you may."

Rudraksh smiled lovingly at Ruhanika, his gaze softening as he leaned down to kiss her palm gently. His touch was warm and tender, and before Ruhanika could process it, her other hand found its way to his head, unknowingly guiding him closer to her. Without saying a word, Rudraksh leaned in and softly pressed his lips against her neck, causing her to close her eyes in response to the gentle touch.

He started to kiss and suck gently on her neck, slowly moving towards her face. Ruhanika's breath quickened, her cheeks turning a deep shade of red, yet the smile never left her lips. The air between them thickened with unspoken emotions as they both got lost in the moment, unaware of how time passed. Eventually, their lips met in a passionate kiss, their connection deepening with every breath they shared. As Ruhanika's breathing grew more erratic, Rudraksh realized she was becoming breathless. With a soft sigh, he pulled back, his hand gently guiding her into his embrace. He laid back on the bed, holding her close, his hands rubbing soothing circles on her back. He kissed her forehead, his warmth enveloping her. Ruhanika smiled, her cheeks still flushed from the intimate moment, and shyly hid her face in his chest, feeling safe and loved in his arms.

Rudraksh: "Achcha ji ab sharma rahi hai aap, pehle toh khud hi kiss chahiye hoti hai ab dekho."

(Oh, now you're shy? Earlier, you used to ask for kisses yourself, and now look.)

She glanced at him with a soft pout.

Ruhanika: "Aap phir has rahe hai hum pe?"

(Are you laughing at me again?)

Rudraksh: "Aaho ji Sohneyo, harkatein hi aisi hai aapki in banda hase nahi toh kya kare??"

(Yes, my beautiful one. What else can I do when you act like this?)

Ruhanika: "Aap bhi sharmaiye na humari tarah, hume bhi aapke laal gaal dekhne hai"

(Why don't you blush like me? I want to see your red cheeks too.)

Rudraksh couldn't hold back his laughter and chuckled even louder as he reached out to gently pull her cheeks.

Rudraksh: "Sohneyo, main kyu sharmau?? Aisa aapne Kiya hi kya hai betu??"

(Why should I blush? What have you done, love?)

Rudraksh looked at Ruhanika, his expression filled with amusement as she gazed at him innocently. But then, his eyes widened in surprise as he felt her lips gently press against his neck. The sensation of her mimicking his actions sent a rush of heat to his face, and before he could process it, his grip on her waist tightened instinctively. His cheeks flushed a deep red as he gave her more space, turning his head slightly to allow her better access.

The moment was intense, and Rudraksh couldn't help but shut his eyes, fully savoring the feeling of her lips on his skin. Ruhanika, with a playful glint in her eyes, left a mark on his neck before moving towards his jawline, continuing her tender kisses. She showered him with soft kisses on his forehead, nose, cheeks, and lips, making him blush even harder with each kiss. When she finally pulled back to look at him, her proud grin only deepened his bashfulness. Rudraksh's face was now entirely red, and his eyes were still shut, overwhelmed by the wave of emotions and sensations she had stirred. He couldn't help but smile, feeling both flustered and deeply moved by her affection.

Ruhanika: "Ab aap aur bhi Sundar aur manmohak lag rahe hai."

(Now you look even more handsome and captivating.)

Rudraksh gazed at her, his eyes filled with unspoken affection and admiration. Though he felt a hint of shyness creeping in, the love shining in his gaze was undeniable. It was as if his entire world was reflected in her, and he couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed by the depth of his emotions.

Rudraksh: "Ye kya kar rahi ho betu?"

(What are you doing, love?)

Ruhanika: "Hum bhi aapko humara prem jatana chahte hai."

(I want to express my love for you too.)

Rudraksh: "Aise??"

(Like this?)

Ruhanika: "kyu, kya hume aisa nahi karna tha?? Par aap toh karte hai aur aapne kaha tha ki hum Bina puche aapko kiss kar sakte hai."

(Why? Shouldn't I have done that? But you do it, and you said I could kiss you anytime without asking.)

Rudraksh gently ran his fingers through her soft hair, his touch filled with tenderness and care. Leaning down, he placed a delicate kiss on her forehead.

Rudraksh: "Kar sakti ho Ruhh, aapka hi hu jo chahe kar sakti hai aap Mallika-e-Aksh."

(You can, Ruhh. I'm yours; do whatever you like, my Queen of Aksh.)

Ruhanika smiled softly, her cheeks turning a shade of pink as she buried her face into the crook of his neck, seeking solace in his warmth. Rudraksh felt her shy gesture and let out a gentle chuckle, his hand instinctively moving to stroke her hair.

Rudraksh: "Sari bravery khatam??"

(All your bravery is gone?)

Ruhanika: "Ab aap itne prem se pukarenge hume toh hum toh sharma hi jayenge na??"

(If you call me so lovingly, of course, I'll get shy.)

Rudraksh: "Kiss karte waqt toh nahi sharmati tum Ruhh."

(You don't seem shy when you're asking for kisses, Ruhh.)

Ruhanika: "Aap phir hume satane lage na, hume toh samajh nahi aata aapko kya mazaa aata hai hume tang karne me."

(There you go, teasing me again. I don't understand what joy you get from troubling me.)

Rudraksh: "Bas aata hai, aur kar lu kya??"

(I just do. Should I tease again?)

Ruhanika: "Nahi hum so chuke hai."

(No, I'm already asleep.)

Rudraksh: "Jhuthiii"

(Liar)

Ruhanika: "Sachchii, dekhiye"

(I'm serious. Look.)

She nestled herself back into his vest, seeking the comfort and warmth of his embrace, and tightly hugged him. Her petite frame fit perfectly against him, and he instinctively wrapped his strong arms around her, holding her close. The world outside faded away as they found solace in each other’s presence, their breathing synchronizing in a calming rhythm. With hearts full of love and contentment, they drifted off into a peaceful sleep, wrapped in each other’s arms.

It was midnight, and the room was silent except for the soft rhythm of Ruhanika’s breathing. Rudraksh slowly opened his eyes, his gaze softening as he looked down at Ruhanika, who was sleeping peacefully in his arms. Her face was relaxed, a serene smile playing on her lips even in her sleep. He couldn't help but feel a deep sense of love and protectiveness in that moment. Carefully, so as not to disturb her, Rudraksh gently lifted his vest and slowly moved her back onto the bed, making sure she remained comfortable. He placed a pillow where he had been lying, trying to create the illusion that he was still there. With a quiet breath, he stood up, making sure not to make a sound as he left the room, his heart still warm with the tenderness of the moment.

Rudraksh: "Sorry betu, jaana zaruri hai jaldi hi aa jaunga."

(Sorry, sweetheart, I have to go. I’ll be back soon.)

Rudraksh leaned down and kissed Ruhanika’s forehead gently, his lips lingering for a moment as he whispered a soft, loving farewell. With a quiet smile, he stood up and made his way to the closet. He quickly slipped on a hoodie over his vest and sweatpants, grabbed his car keys, and paused by the door. He turned one last time to glance at Ruhanika, who was still peacefully sleeping, her face calm and serene. His heart swelled with affection, but he knew he had to leave for a while.

Downstairs, Rishwik, Amandeep, and Ashvik were already waiting for him, dressed similarly in casual outfits, all looking ready for the night ahead. Rudraksh nodded to them, his expression focused but warm, as they gathered together to leave.

Ashvik: "Teddy uthi toh nahi na??"

(Teddy didn’t wake up, did she?)

Rudraksh: "So Rahi hai relax."

(She’s still sleeping, relax.)

Rishwik: "Bhai kartavya bhai?"

(Brother, what about Kartavya?)

Rudraksh: "bata diya hai unhe, aur mana bhi Kiya, bhabhi ko akele chodna thik nahi."

(I’ve informed him and asked him not to leave. It’s not right to leave my sister-in-law alone.)

They all nodded in agreement, and soon, Kritika joined them as well.

Kritika: "I am ready bhai, chaliye."

(I’m ready, brother. Let’s go.)

Amandeep: "Sab ready hai, nikalte hai subah Vijaypratap ko surprise bhi dena hai na."

(Everyone’s ready. Let’s leave. We also have to surprise Vijaypratap in the morning, right?)

The group smirked knowingly as they left the mansion together, their steps in sync, each one aware of the purpose they were headed towards. Soon, they arrived at The Leo's Dungeon, a place that housed the dark underbelly of the world they operated in. The atmosphere was thick with tension, the air heavy with unspoken threats. They entered a specific room, and the scene before them was unsettling. On the cold, grimy floor lay two figures, both in a pitiful state—Mahira Rathore and Sachet Rathore. Their bodies were riddled with cuts and bruises, blood oozing from every part of them. The sight was grotesque, yet Rudraksh remained calm, his eyes narrowing as he surveyed the damage. Cute, purple-blue marks marred their skin, evidence of their suffering. They were barely conscious, their bodies broken from whatever had been done to them.

Rudraksh's men, loyal and efficient, quickly brought in a chair for him. He settled into it effortlessly, his posture still imposing as ever. With a slow, deliberate motion, he removed the gun from his back and placed it on the armrest beside him. His eyes flicked between Mahira and Sachet, their suffering bringing him some satisfaction, but he couldn’t ignore the cold determination that simmered within him. The past had led them to this moment, and now the Rathores were at his mercy.

Rishwik: "Hot water."

The cold, damp atmosphere of the dungeon was filled with a tense silence. Rishwik's command echoed through the room, and the men quickly moved into action. They grabbed large containers of hot water and poured it onto Mahira and Sachet, the scalding liquid hitting their skin with a searing pain. The two culprits jolted awake, their bodies trembling in shock and agony. It was clear from their faces—twisted with fear and disbelief—that they had been living in this hell for months. Tortured, broken, and now fully aware of where they were, they slowly began to open their eyes, dreading the inevitable.

The moment their gaze fell on Rudraksh, their faces contorted with horror. The memories of their actions, the pain they'd inflicted on others, came crashing back in that instant. Panic overtook them as they attempted to crawl away, their limbs weak from the torture they'd endured. But before they could make any progress, Ashvik stepped forward, his expression hard as stone. He placed his foot with calculated force on Sachet's palm, crushing it under his weight. The man screamed, the pain shooting up his arm, and his body trembled in shock.

At the same time, Kritika, with a look of cold indifference, advanced to Mahira. She pressed her foot on Mahira's palm with equal force, and the woman's screams echoed in the room. The pain was excruciating, and the tears that spilled from their eyes were mixed with both physical agony and the terror of what was to come next.

Ashvik: "itne me hi jaan nikal gayi tum logo ki??"

(You’re all losing your patience already?)

Mahira: "Ahh.. ch...odoo pl..lease"

(Ahh... leave me... please.)

Amandeep: "Kriti di, ye jab se aayi hai chodo bolti rehti hai kuch karo yaar."

(Kriti di, ever since she arrived, all she says is “leave me.” Do something about her, please.)

Kritika gave a subtle signal with her eyes, and moments later, a man appeared carrying a tray with burning coal. Mahira's eyes widened in surprise and concern as Kritika brought the burning coal closer to her face. The heat from the coal made the air thick with tension. Kritika, with a focused expression, held the coal steady.

Kritika: "Haa toh kuch keh rahi thi tum?? Bolo aur bolna hai???"

(Oh, so you had something to say? Speak up then, say what you have to.)

Mahira shook her head in fear, her eyes wide with worry as she looked at the burning coal so close to her face. The heat radiated toward her, making her skin tingle with discomfort. The rest of the group watched with smirks on their faces, clearly entertained by her reaction. Kritika, with a mischievous glint in her eyes, held the coal steady, teasing Mahira just a little longer before pulling it back.

Sachet: "Hume ya...ha se.. bah..ar le jaya gaya tha, t..oh v..apas kyu??"

(W-we w-ere t-taken outside, s-so why b-bring us back here?)

Rudraksh leaned in closer to Sachet, the cold, metallic barrel of the gun gently pressing against his chin as he lifted his head, forcing him to meet his gaze. His eyes were intense, a mixture of calm control and underlying threat.

Rudraksh: "ye ki na pate ki baat ab."

(Now, that’s the right question.)

Rudraksh slowly traced the barrel of the gun along Sachet’s face, his finger-like touch sending a shiver down his spine. The cold metal glided smoothly over his skin, coming to a stop just at the edge of his neck. The pressure was subtle yet undeniable, as if Rudraksh were savoring the fear and tension he was causing. His eyes never left Sachet's face, studying every flicker of emotion that crossed it. Sachet could feel his heart racing, each breath coming in shallow bursts.

Rudraksh: "Socha tha tum dono ki kati pati body tumhare maa baap ko bhej ke ek Diwali gift denge, par phir meri Ruhh ne tum dono ki nayi karamat batayi, uske sazaa toh milegi na"

(I thought of sending your battered bodies to your parents as a Diwali gift, but then my Ruhh told me about your new antics. You deserve punishment for that, don’t you?)

Rudraksh sat back casually, crossing his legs with an air of nonchalance as though the entire situation was nothing more than a routine matter. The gun, still in his hand, rested lightly across his knee, the metallic sheen of the barrel glinting in the dim light.

Rudraksh: "Rishwik, ye department tera hai na, bata kya karna hai??"

(Rishwik, this is your department, isn’t it? Tell me, what should we do?)

Rishwik: "Ha bhai, par Ashvik bhai ka zyada haq banta hai aaj, Ashvik bhai bataiye aap."

(Yes, brother, but Ashvik bhai has more right today. Ashvik bhai, you tell us.)

Amandeep: "Sorry guys, Rishi toh phir bhi kum dard deta hai, Ashvik bhai se bachna mushkil hai"

(Sorry, guys. Rishi might be less harsh, but escaping Ashvik bhai is impossible.)

Mahira and Sachet's fear intensified, their bodies tense as the situation grew more overwhelming. Ashvik, sensing their distress, quickly kneeled beside Sachet, gripping his jaw firmly. His expression was stern, the weight of the moment pressing down on him.

Ashvik: "Kya laga tha meri behen ko pareshan karke Bach jayega??"

(Did you think you’d get away after troubling my sister?)

Sachet: "Behen??"

(Sister?)

Ashvik: "Haa Behen, Ruhanika Adhiraj Rajpurohit, Ashvik Adhiraj Rajpurohit ki behen."

( Yes, sister. Ruhanika Adhiraj Rajpurohit, the sister of Ashvik Adhiraj Rajpurohit.)

Sachet and Mahira's eyes widened in shock as the realization hit them. They had known about Ruhanika’s brother, but hearing about Ashvik’s connection to him felt like a jolt to their already fragile nerves. Sachet’s mind raced, piecing together the details he had only just begun to understand. He had been helping his father track down Ashvik, but this revelation now shifted everything.

Rudraksh: "Meri biwi ne tum dono ki vajah se jitne aasu giraye hai na, ek ek ka hisaab hoga"

(The number of tears my wife has shed because of you both... each one will be avenged.)

Rudraksh said through gritted teeth, his voice filled with anger. His rage intensified the moment his gaze landed on the two disgusting creatures, the sight of them only fueling his growing frustration. Every muscle in his body tensed, and it was clear that he was struggling to keep his composure as his fury swirled within him.

Mahira: "Ky..a kya karn..e wale ho??"

(W-what are you going to do?)

Amandeep: "Bahaut jaldi hai in dono ko, Ashvik bhai shuru kare kya tamasha??"

(These two are so impatient. Ashvik bhai, should we begin the show?)

Rishwik: "Haa bhai vaise bhi time pass karke matlab nahi hai"

(Yes, brother. Anyway, there’s no point in wasting time.)

Amandeep: "Ruhi uth gayi toh aapko dundhne lagegi Sir."

(If Ruhi wakes up, she’ll start looking for you, sir.)

Kritika: "Aur Pareshan ho jayegi"

(And she’ll get worried.)

Rudraksh nodded.

Rudraksh: "Go ahead Ashvik"

Ashvik: "Yepp"

Ashvik's eyes glinted with a mischievous intent as he signaled to a few men nearby. Moments later, they returned, carrying firecrackers and bombs with them. The sight of the dangerous items in their hands made it clear that Ashvik was preparing for something intense, Rishwik's grin widening as he eyed the situation with a growing sense of excitement.

Ashvik: "Cousin hu tum dono ka, tumhare sath Diwali manane aaya hu my brother and sister."

(I’m your cousin. I’ve come to celebrate Diwali with you, my brother and sister.)

Rudraksh smirked, watching Ashvik's antics with amusement. He knew his friend was always up to something, and it seemed like this time, Ashvik was ready to stir things up in his own way.

Rishwik: "Ye kaam main karu please please bhai."

( Let me do this, please, brother.)

Amandeep: "Main bhi"

(Me too.)

Kritika: "Main kyu piche rahu??"

(Why should I stay behind?)

Ashvik chuckled at their antics and nodded in amusement. Meanwhile, Rishwik, Amandeep, and Kritika were strategically placing the "bombs," around Sachet and Mahira. The two of them, exhausted and unable to muster the energy or courage to fight back, just watched in resigned silence. It was clear that they had reached their limit and didn't have the strength to retaliate against the assault.

Ashvik: "Happy Diwali cousins."

The group stepped back as Ashvik lit the bombs, and in an instant, the crackers exploded with a loud burst. Sachet and Mahira screamed at the top of their lungs, their bodies jolting in surprise and pain. They were both desperately trying to protect themselves, but the fiery explosions left burns on their skin. It wasn’t severe, but the pain was enough to make them writhe in agony. The others watched with amused expressions, enjoying the show as the two helplessly endured the pain. After five long minutes of the explosive chaos, the crackers burned out completely, and the room fell silent. Rudraksh, stepping forward with a calm, serious expression, gently pressed on Sachet’s burns, causing him to cry out in even more intense pain. Kritika did the same with Mahira, her face cold and indifferent as Mahira whimpered from the pain. The others remained silent, some with smirks on their faces, while others looked on with satisfaction.

Rudraksh: "Meri Ruhh jitna tadpi hai uske man toh kar raha hai sari ki sari goliya tum dono ke andar utaar du."

(The way my Ruhh has suffered, my heart wants to fill you both with bullets.)

Ashvik: "Abhi nahi Rudra in dono ki saza itni kum nahi ho sakti, Meri teddy ki zindagi narak banane ke liye abhi bahaut tadapna hai in dono ko."

(Not now, Rudra. These two don’t deserve to get off so easily. To make my Teddy’s life hell, they still have a lot more to endure.)

Rishwik: "Shukr manao Ashvik bhai ka tum dono, inki vajah se aaj zinda Bach rahe ho."

(Thank Ashvik bhai that you’re alive today because of him.)

Mahira: "Pl..ease m..maar do hume, ye... Dard a..ur nahi."

(P-please k-kill me... I c-can’t take this pain anymore.)

Rudraksh: "Meri Ruhh ko bhi yehi bolne pe majbur Kiya hoga na?? Vo bhi aise hi gidgidayi hogi na, tab suni thi uski??"

(My Ruhh must have begged like this too, right? She must have pleaded just like this. Did you listen to her then?)

Ashvik: "Ye toh bas Shuruwat hai, abhi bahaut khatirdari baaki hai, jaake bata dena apne maa baap ko."

(This is just the beginning. There’s a lot more hospitality waiting for you both. Go and inform your parents.)

Rudraksh released Sachet's hand, his grip now leaving behind a trace of blood from the wounds he had caused. The sight didn’t faze him; he stood tall, cold and collected, as if the pain he had inflicted was nothing. He then motioned to his men, who swiftly handed him some tissues.

Rudraksh took them, wiping the blood from his hands in slow, deliberate motions, his expression unwavering. The sound of the tissues crinkling filled the room as he cleaned off the evidence of the punishment, his eyes still locked on Sachet and Mahira, who were both crumpled and in pain on the ground.

Amandeep: "Ghar chalte hai, subah hone wali hai kuch der me."

(Let’s head home. It’s almost morning.)

They all nodded in unison.

Rishwik: "Bye bye bhai ke in laws, dobara zarur milenge."

(Bye-bye, Brother's in-laws. We’ll meet again for sure.)

Rishwik grinned mischievously, waving at the helpless Sachet and Mahira with a playful smirk on his face, clearly enjoying the spectacle. His carefree attitude contrasted sharply with the severity of the situation. Rudraksh, observing his younger brother’s antics, couldn't help but shake his head with a subtle, amused smile tugging at the corners of his lips. Ashvik, on the other hand, gave Rishwik a playful slap on the back, causing him to wince slightly but continue grinning nonetheless.

Ashvik: "Chal ab"

(Let’s go now.)

Amandeep: "I hope you all remember what you have to do."

The men nodded in agreement and then headed off toward their homes. Rudraksh quietly entered the room, his footsteps light as he approached the bed. The once powerful Leo Mafia king, who had commanded fear and respect, now stood as a loving and caring husband, his entire demeanor softening in the presence of his wife. He gazed at Ruhanika, who was peacefully sleeping, her face serene and content. A gentle smile spread across his face.

Rudraksh: "Apka Aksh abhi aapke liye pure nahi hai Mallika-e-Aksh. Aap tak is duniya ki parchai tak aane nahi de sakta hu Ruhh... In khoon se range haathon se humesha dur rakhunga tumhe."

(Your Aksh isn’t pure enough for you yet, Mallika-e-Aksh. I can’t let the shadow of this world touch you, Ruhh. I’ll always keep you away from these blood-stained hands.)

He then made his way towards the washroom. After a warm and soothing bath, Rudraksh stepped out of the washroom, feeling refreshed and renewed. He took a moment to rub his body gently, almost as if he wanted to cleanse not just his skin but his soul as well, to be fully pure for his Ruhanika. Every action felt like a small ritual, a way to honor the love he had for her.

Once done, he returned to their room, the soft light of the night casting a gentle glow. He approached Ruhanika, who was still peacefully asleep, and with a tender smile, he carefully pulled her into his vest.  As he nestled her close, his heart found its peace once again. Wrapped in her warmth, he fell asleep, the love they shared making everything feel perfect and right.

Apologies for the delay! As I mentioned earlier, Ruhanika and Rudraksh's part got accidentally deleted, so please bear with me. Then please blame Allu Arjun's "Pushpa 2" for some extra delay 🤭🤭.

Also, heads up—tomorrow's chapter will be posted at night.
