Surprise, A happy new year update ð¸
Kive lageya surprise??âºï¸
Rudraksh stood in front of the mirror in the washroom, halfway through shaving his beard. The thought of going completely clean-shaven didnât even cross his mind; after all, Ruhanika adored his light beard, often calling it "perfectly rugged." As he worked, his thoughts drifted to the previous night. He chuckled softly, recalling how Ruhanika had unabashedly kissed his cheeks in front of everyone, leaving him blushing like a teenager. Even later, in the privacy of their room, she hadnât held back from showering him with love, her playful antics still fresh in his mind. Smiling to himself, Rudraksh applied shaving foam to his cheeks and along his jawline, preparing to finish the task. Just as he picked up the razor, a sudden banging on the bathroom door startled him. It wasnât a polite knock but an urgent, almost desperate sound, like someone on the other side couldnât wait a second longer. Frowning, he set the razor down.
Ruhanika: "Sun..iye, aap an..dar hai, darwaza khol..iye na."
(Listen... Are you inside? Open the door, please.)
Rudraksh's heart sank as he heard Ruhanika sobbing uncontrollably. He rushed to open the door, his mind racing with concern. The moment the door swung open, Ruhanika threw herself into his arms, clutching him tightly as though her life depended on it. Without wasting a second, Rudraksh wrapped his arms around her protectively, his strong embrace a silent reassurance. He began rubbing her back gently.
Rudraksh: "Ruhhh, Kya ho gaya mere betu ko???"
(Ruhhh, what happened to my sweetheart?)
Ruhanika buried her face in Rudraksh's chest, rubbing her cheeks against him as soft sobs escaped her. Rudrakshâs arms tightened protectively around her, his hand gently stroking her hair in an attempt to soothe her. Worry etched deep lines on his face, reflecting the pain he felt seeing her like this.
Rudraksh: "Ruhh?? Jaana kya hua?"
(Ruhh?? Tell me, what happened?)
Ruhanika: "Hum Darr Gaye"
(I got scared.)
Rudraksh: "Kyu?? Kuch hua kya?"
(Why? Did something happen?)
Ruhanika: "Aap kaha chale gaye the hume bistar pe akele chod ke, sath me uthate hai na Roz toh."
(Where did you go, leaving me alone on the bed? You always wake me up with you, right?)
Rudraksh: "Betu, aaj gym nahi jana tha na isiliye sone diya, ab batao ro kyu Rahi ho, janti ho na nahi pasand mujhe tumhara rona."
(Sweetheart, I didnât have to go to the gym today, so I let you sleep. Now tell me, why are you crying? You know I donât like to see you cry.)
Ruhanika: "Toh mat jaaya kijiye hume chod ke."
(Then donât leave me alone like that.)
Ruhanika whispered softly, her voice trembling, as she tightened her grip around his torso. Feeling the depth of her emotions, Rudraksh hugged her even more tightly.
Rudraksh: "Achcha baba sorry, ab nahi jaunga, ab batao kya hua hai??"
(Alright, Iâm sorry. I wonât do it again. Now tell me, what happened?)
Ruhanika: "Hume bhoot wala sapna aaya"
(I had a dream about ghosts.)
Rudraksh: "Aur dekho horror movies, usi ka natija hai ye."
(Thatâs what happens when you watch horror movies. Itâs the result of that.)
Ruhanika: "Hum Darr Gaye aur aap hume daant rahe hai?? Hum thode se naraz ho jaye aapse??"
(I got scared, and instead of comforting me, youâre scolding me? Should I get a little upset with you?)
Rudraksh chuckled softly, and shook his head gently.
Rudraksh: "Achcha thik hai nahi daanta, ye brahmastra use karna band karo tum, aur rona bhi nahi."
(Okay, fine, Iâm not scolding you. Stop using this ultimate weapon on me, and donât cry either.)
Ruhanika placed her chin on his chest and looked up at him, their eyes meeting. He was already gazing down at her, and the moment their eyes locked, a soft giggle escaped her lips.
Rudraksh: "Areh abhi ro rahi thi ab hasne lagi, itne gazab ke mood swings?"
(You were just crying, and now youâre laughing. Such incredible mood swings?)
Ruhanika: "Ha toh ye kya kiya hai aapne?? Bilkul vo filmo wale Santa clause lag rahe hai aap."
(Yes, and look what youâve done. You look exactly like Santa Claus from those movies.)
Rudraksh: "Achcha jii, ek toh shaving chod ke aaya tumhare liye aur ab mujhe Santa clause keh rahi ho, ruko tum.."
(Oh really? I skipped shaving for you, and now youâre calling me Santa Claus. Just wait...)
Ruhanika giggled at the playful moment, but then Rudraksh teasingly rubbed his cheek against hers. The shaving foam, still on his face, transferred to her soft skin, making her cheeks covered in foam as well. She pouted, clearly not expecting the mess, and Rudraksh couldn't help but chuckle at her adorable reaction. With a playful grin, he pulled away and went back inside to continue his task. Ruhanika, still slightly irritated but amused, followed him.
Ruhanika: "Ye kya kiya aapne, hume aapke jaise daadhi muchh nhi aati jo aapne ye cream laga diya hume."
(What did you do! I donât grow a beard or mustache like you, and now youâve put this cream on my face.)
Rudraksh: "Toh mujhpe hasi kyu tum??"
(Then why were you laughing at me?)
Rudraksh asked while shaving his beard. Rudraksh glanced at Ruhanika, who was trying to sit on the bathroom slab. Ruhanika attempted once more, jumping to sit, but again struggled to land comfortably. She pouted in frustration, and Rudraksh couldn't hold back his laughter. He chuckled at her repeated failed attempts, finding her determination both amusing and endearing.
Ruhanika: "Ye kitna ucha hai, aap ise thoda niche nahi banva sakte the??"
(This is so tall. Couldnât you have made it a little lower?)
Rudraksh: "Vo ucha nahi hai Ruhh, tum choti ho"
(Itâs not tall, Ruhh; youâre just small.)
Ruhanika: "Aap phir humare kadh ka mazaak bana rahe hai na?? Bhuliye mat hum bade ho gaye hai aur aapke seene tak aate hai"
(Youâre making fun of my height again, arenât you? Donât forget Iâm grown up now and reach up to your chest.)
Rudraksh: "Haa vahi toh bas seene tak, you little little chutkuu"
(Yes, just up to my chest, you little tiny one.)
Ruhanika glared at Rudraksh with a pout, her hands firmly planted on her waist, clearly not pleased. Rudraksh, having just finished washing his face after shaving, couldn't help but chuckle at her adorably frustrated expression. He found her pouting face irresistible. In a swift motion, he lifted her effortlessly by her waist, placing her gently on the bathroom slab. Ruhanika's glare deepened as she crossed her arms, still not pleased with him. Meanwhile, Rudraksh, towering over her with his tall figure, leaned in slightly, placing his hands beside her waist on the edge of the slab. He had a playful yet affectionate smile on his face, clearly enjoying the moment. Ruhanika was still glaring at him, but the closeness, combined with the lightheartedness in his eyes, made her heart skip a beat. Despite her feigned annoyance, she couldn't help but soften under his gaze.
Ruhanika: "Hum bade ho gaye hai Maan lijiye na, hum kitni baar kehte hai aapse, aap sunte hi nahi"
(Accept that Iâve grown up! How many times do I have to tell you? You never listen.)
Rudraksh chuckled softly as Ruhanika whined in frustration. With a playful grin, he reached out and gently took some shaving foam from her cheeks, then playfully applied it to the tip of her nose.
Rudraksh: "Sunta hu betu, bas manta nahi hu."
(I do listen, dear, but I just donât agree.)
Rudraksh rubbed his nose against hers with a playful grin, his eyes full of mischief. Ruhanika glared at him, her eyes narrowing in mock annoyance.
Ruhanika: "Hum ja rahe hai, aap rahiye yaha akele."
(Iâm leaving now. You stay here alone.)
Ruhanika was about to leap off the bathroom platform, but before she could, Rudraksh swiftly caught her around the waist, stopping her mid-air. He pulled her gently back to safety, his arms securely wrapped around her.
Rudraksh: "Achcha achcha, I'm sorry ab nahi chhidhaunga tumhe."
(Alright, alright. Iâm sorry. I wonât tease you anymore.)
Ruhanika: "Pakka??"
(Promise?)
Ruhanika extended her hand towards him, her fingers reaching out with a soft smile. Rudraksh looked at her for a moment before placing his hand in hers, their fingers intertwining.
Rudraksh: "Pakka."
(Promise.)
Ruhanika grinned playfully, her eyes twinkling. She cupped Rudraksh's cheeks with both hands, her fingers gently pressing against his skin. With a soft squeeze, she looked up at him affectionately.
Ruhanika: "Ab sahi kaha na aapne, hume phir se pyaar aa gaya hai aap pe, kar le??"
(Now that youâve said the right thing, I feel love for you again. Can I express it?)
Rudraksh gently took her hand in his and with a soft smile, placed it back on her lap.
Rudraksh: "Kar lena jo chaho, pehle ye jo dada ji bani ho vo thik karu."
(Do whatever you want, but first, let me clean up this beard.)
Ruhanika pouted playfully and looked at Rudraksh. Her lower lip jutted out just enough to capture his attention, Rudraksh couldn't help but chuckle at her adorable expression.
Ruhanika: "Hum bane nahi hai, aapne banaya hai ye cream laga ke."
(I didnât become one; you made me with that cream.)
Rudraksh gently took a damp cloth and carefully wiped Ruhanika's face, clearing away the shaving foam and any traces of the playful mess they had made. After he was done, he leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss to her cheek, a sweet gesture that made her heart flutter.
Rudraksh: "Ye aayi na meri pyari pyari Mallika-e-Aksh."
(Thatâs the adorable queen I love.)
Ruhanika shyly lowered her head, her cheeks flushed with a soft pink hue as she smiled, feeling the warmth of Rudraksh's affection. Rudraksh, unable to resist, leaned in closer, his breath brushing against her ear. With a tender whisper, he said.
Rudraksh: "Kya hua ab sharma rahi hai aap Jaana?"
(Why are you blushing now, my dear?)
Ruhanika: "Ha toh ab aap aise prem se pukarenge toh sharmayenge hi na hum."
(Well, if you call me with so much affection, Iâll blush, wonât I?)
Rudraksh: "Sabke samne kiss karne se toh nahi sharmati tum. "
(But you donât blush when you kiss me in front of everyone.)
Rudraksh couldnât help but chuckle, thoroughly enjoying the playful teasing. Ruhanika, quickly wrapped her arms around his waist and buried her face against his stomach, her cheeks burning with a blush.
Ruhanika: "Hum jante hai aap sata rahe hai hume, isiliye ab bas kijiye, aur sabke samne kiss kar sakte hai ye toh bhabhi sa ne bataya tha."
(I know youâre teasing me, and for your information, I can kiss in front of everyone because Bhabhi said itâs okay.)
Rudraksh felt a sense of warmth and comfort as he hugged Ruhanika back, but just as he was about to pull away, he noticed her suddenly pulling back. His brow furrowed in confusion as he watched her with a puzzled expression.
Rudraksh: "Kya hua??"
(Whatâs wrong now?)
Ruhanika: "Aapne hume kyu nahi bataya??"
(Why didnât you tell me?)
Rudraksh's confusion deepened as he tried to understand her words, he gently cupped her face with both hands.
Rudraksh: "Kya nahi bataya betu??"
(Tell you what, dear?)
Ruhanika: "Vahi Jo sab pati apni patni ko batate hai aapne kyu nahi bataya??"
(The thing all husbands tell their wivesâwhy didnât you tell me?)
Rudrakshâs brows furrowed in confusion, a small crease forming between them as he tried to understand what was going on.
Rudraksh: "Kya batate hai Jaana, kya bol rahi ho??"
(What are you talking about? Whatâs this thing?)
Ruhanika: "Hume bhabhi sa ne bataya ki koi Kriya hoti hai jo karna hota hai pati patni ko, jo pati ko pata rehta hai aur vo patni ko batate hai."
(Bhabhi said thereâs a process that husband and wife needs to do. Why didnât you tell me about it? And how do you know about this process? Why donât I know?)
Rudraksh was utterly baffled by what she said. His eyes narrowed slightly, trying to piece together her words, but they only seemed to make less sense.
Rudraksh: "Kriya?? Kaise kriya kya karna hai betu, kya nahi bataya??"
(Process? What process are you talking about?)
Ruhanika: "Areh vahi Kriya jisse humare bheetar nanha baby aayega."
(process that makes a baby come inside the mother.)
Rudraksh's eyes widened in surprise and he instinctively took a small step back, as he was standing between her legs.
Ruhanika: "Kya hua bataiye na, hume janna hai, aur aapko ye kriya ke baare me kaise pata hai?? Aur hum kyu nahi jante??"
(What happened? Tell me, I want to know, and how do you know about the process but I don't)
Rudraksh struggled to find the right words, his mind racing in the awkward silence. He glanced around, feeling a little lost in the moment. As Ruhanika, with her usual playful energy, prepared to jump off the bathroom slab, he quickly stepped forward, reaching out to steady her.
Rudraksh: "Kudo nhi Ruhh gir jaogi."
(Donât jump, Ruhh. Youâll fall.)
She gave a smile and nodded in agreement.
Ruhanika: "Jii, ab bataiye na"
(Okay, now tell me.)
Rudraksh gently brushed the stray hairs away from Ruhanika's face, his touch tender and loving. He cupped her face in his hands, his thumbs gently caressing her soft skin.
Rudraksh: "Ruhh, maine bataya tha na ki tum abhi choti ho iske liye."
(Ruhh, I told you before; youâre still too young to know this.)
Ruhanika wrapped her arms around Rudraksh's waist, her head resting against his chest as she looked up at him. Her eyes were filled with warmth and love, reflecting the comfort and safety she felt in his embrace.
Ruhanika: "Par bhabhi sa kehti hai hum bade ho gaye hai, aur humara Vivah bhi toh hua hai."
(But Bhabhi says Iâm grown up, and Iâm married too.)
Rudraksh let out a heavy sigh, realizing the playful trick Savisha had orchestrated to tease him. He recalled how she had asked for spicy noodles when Kartavya was away, and how he had refused, knowing it wasn't the best for her health. The realization brought a small smile to his lips as he shook his head, amused by her antics. With a soft chuckle, he let his hand slide to Ruhanika's back, pulling her into a comforting embrace.
Rudraksh: "Ruhh, achcha dekho aaj se tumhari padhai shuru ho rahi hai na, aur kuch mahine baad college bhi jaogi tum, toh main tumhe tab sab bata dunga."
(Ruhh, look, your studies start today, right? And in a few months, youâll go to college. Iâll explain everything to you then.)
Ruhanika: "College jaane wale logo ko hi sab pata rehta hai??,"
(Does only college-going people know these things?)
Rudraksh: "Haa aisa hi kuch, par uske pehle tum mujhse kuch nahi puchogi promise Karo."
(Yes, something like that. But until then, promise me you wonât ask me about it again.)
Ruhanika flashed a smile and gave a nod of approval.
Ruhanika: "Ji thik hai, nahi puchenge."
(Okay, I promise.)
Rudraksh couldn't resist the adorable dimples on Ruhanika's cheeks. With a playful grin, he gently poked them, making her giggle. Her laughter warmed his heart. He then leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to the tip of her nose, his eyes filled with affection.
Rudraksh: Good girl.
Ruhanika smiled widely at Rudraksh, her eyes shining with affection, but suddenly, her smile faded. She lowered her head, her expression turning somber. Her grip around his waist tightened as if seeking comfort, and Rudraksh's heart sank. Sensing her shift in mood, he gently cupped her chin and raised her face to meet his gaze. His concern was evident in his eyes as he searched her face for answers, wanting to understand what was causing the sudden change.
Rudraksh: "Kya ho gaya mere betu ko??"
(What happened to my little one?)
Ruhanika: "Vo aaj se hum padhai karenge??"
(Am I going to study from today?)
Rudraksh: "Haa bataya toh tha na ki aaj se Prep sessions start honge tumhare kyuki bahaut waqt se padhai band hai na."
(Yes, I told you that from today, you'll have prep sessions because you haven't studied for a long time.)
Ruhanika: "Koi teacher aayengi na hume padhane??"
(Will a teacher come to teach me?)
Rudraksh: "Haan"
(Yes.)
Ruhanika's face reflected the fear she was feeling, and Rudraksh could see it clearly in her eyes. Understanding her unease, he immediately pulled her into a tighter embrace, offering her the comfort she needed. Ruhanika buried her face against his stomach, her breath shaky as she sought solace in his presence. Rudraksh, feeling her vulnerability, began gently stroking her hair, his hand moving slowly and soothingly. His grip around her became more secure, as if telling her without words that she was safe in his arms.
Rudraksh: "Pehle wale teacher achche nahi the??"
(Werenât the previous teachers good?)
Ruhanika: "Jab tak Nima thi tab tak teacher aunty achchi thi, phir jab vo chali gayi toh Mama ji ne teacher badal di, phir koi Sir aate the vo achche nahi the, unhone chadi se maara tha hume, isiliye humne padhai chod du."
(When Nima was here, the teacher aunty was good, but when she left, Mama ji changed the teacher. After that, some sir came, and he wasnât good. He hit me with a stick, so I stopped studying.)
Rudraksh could feel the surge of anger rising within him, his muscles tense and his eyes burning with frustration. He wanted to lash out, to find whoever was responsible for making her feel this way, but he knew that wasn't what Ruhanika needed. Taking a deep breath, he composed himself, focusing on being the pillar of strength she needed. Gently, he rubbed her back, his chin resting on her head, offering her the peace she desperately sought. After a few moments, when Ruhanikaâs breathing had steadied, he pulled back just enough to look into her eyes. His fingers tenderly caressed her cheeks, wiping away the last traces of fear. With a soft, affectionate smile, he leaned in and kissed her forehead, his lips lingering there for a moment longer.
Rudraksh: "Ye jo teacher aayenge vo achchi hai, aur mere hote huye koi mere betu ko harm kar sakta hai kya??"
(The teacher whoâs coming now is good, and with me around, can anyone harm my little one?)
Suddenly, a spark flickered in Ruhanika's eyes.
Ruhanika: "Aap rahenge us waqt humare sath??"
(Will you be with me during that time?)
Rudraksh: "Tumne socha bhi kaise ki akele chod dunga tumhe?"
(Did you think Iâd leave you alone?)
Ruhanika grinned mischievously, her eyes sparkling with excitement as she prepared to jump off the bathroom slab again. But before she could make a move, Rudraksh quickly reached out and firmly held her waist, shooting her a playful glare.
Rudraksh: "Bola na kudna nahi hai."
(I told you, not to jump)
Ruhanika, still grinning excitedly, extended her hands upward toward Rudraksh.
Rudraksh: "Tumhe uthau??"
(Should I pick you up?)
Ruhanika nodded, still grinning with a playful gleam in her eyes. Rudraksh couldn't help but smile at her infectious energy. He wrapped his arms around her waist and effortlessly lifted her up. Ruhanika, caught by surprise for a second, instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck, her smile growing even wider. Then, in an instant, she began showering him with kisses all over his faceâhis cheeks, forehead, and even his nose. Rudraksh burst into giggles, his heart light and carefree from the sweet, affectionate assault. Her kisses, full of warmth and love, made him feel as if he were floating, completely lost in the moment with her.
Rudraksh: "Jaana bas bhi karo."
(Stop now.)
Ruhanika: "Nahi, aap na bahaut achche hai, hume zor se bahaut zyada prem aa raha hai aap pe, karne dijiye."
(No, youâre really nice, I love you so much, please let me.)
Ruhanika continued her playful assault on his face, her soft kisses making him chuckle with each touch. He couldn't help but smile at her infectious energy, her love shining through every playful peck. Gently, he placed her back on the bathroom platform, his hands steady as he lowered her with care. Leaning in close to her, he hovered just near her face, their breaths mingling. The mischievous glint in Ruhanika's eyes met his, and the air between them was filled with a warmth that only grew with each shared moment.
Rudraksh: "Mallika-e-Aksh, aapko chaubis ghante me se 16 ghante mujhpe pyaar hi aata hai, aur baaki waqt aap soti hai."
(Mallika-e-Aksh, you only love me for 16 hours out of 24 hours, and the rest of the time youâre sleeping.)
Ruhanika: "Galat, hume chaubis me se chaubis ghante aap pe prem aata hai, hum nind me bhi aapke sapne dekhte hai aur aapse prem karte hai."
(Wrong, I love you for all 24 hours, even when I sleep, I dream about you and love you.)
Rudraksh: "Par abhi toh bhoot ka sapna dekh kar mere pass rote rote aayi thi, matlab main bhoot hu??"
(But just now, you came to me crying after seeing a ghost's dream. Does that mean Iâm a ghost?)
Ruhanika: "Humara vo matlab nahi tha aap jante hai, aur hum bhi jante hai ki aap hume phir se tang kar rahe hai. "
(I didnât mean that, you know that, and I also know youâre just teasing me again.)
Rudraksh chuckled softly, impressed by how smart Ruhanika had become, catching onto all his teasing with ease. He couldn't help but admire her playful nature. Gently, he rubbed his nose against hers, a tender gesture that made the space between them feel even more intimate. Ruhanika's eyes sparkled as she leaned into him.
Rudraksh: "Achcha thik hai, chalo ab brush karo ready bhi hona hai na, tutor aati hongi."
(Alright, fine. Now go brush your teeth, we need to get ready; the tutor will be here soon.)
Ruhanika: "Hum kar toh lenge na padhai??"
(Will we be able to study?)
Rudraksh: "Tum kar sakti ho Ruhh, mujhe bharosa hai tum pe, achcha chalo tumne thik se padhai ki na toh main tumhe date pe leke jaunga."
(You can do it, Ruhh. I trust you. Okay, if you study well, Iâll take you out on a date.)
Ruhanika's face lit up with excitement.
Ruhanika: "Vo pati patni wali date, jisme bahar jate hai, khate hai, nritya karte hai aur vo sab bhi karte hai??,"
(The husband-wife kind of date, where you go out, eat, dance, and do all that stuff??)
Rudraksh let out a soft chuckle and nodded in acknowledgment.
Rudraksh: "Haa baba vahi wali date, aur kuch??"
(Yes, that kind of date, what else?)
Ruhanika: "Jiii"
(Yes)
Rudraksh squeezed some toothpaste onto her brush with a gentle smile.
Rudraksh: "Aur kya??"
(And what else?)
Ruhanika: "Bhabhi sa ne kaha tha aapke pass 8 biscuits hai, kya vo meethe hai, aap denge hume??"
(Bhabhi sa said you have 8 biscuits, are they sweet? Will you give them to me?)
Rudraksh handed her the toothbrush, his expression a mix of confusion and curiosity. As he looked at her, he suddenly understood what she meant, the realization dawning on him, he understood that Savisha told her about his abs.
Rudraksh: "Bhabhi soot samet badla le rahi hai."
(Bhabhi is taking revenge with interest)
Rudraksh muttered under his breath, his voice low and barely audible.
Ruhanika: "Ji kya??"
(What?)
Rudraksh: "Kuch nahi, koi biscuit nahi hai mere pass."
(Nothing, I donât have any biscuits.)
Ruhanika: "Jhooth mat boliye, aap nahi denge toh hum padhai nahi karenge."
(Donât lie, if you donât give them to me, I wonât study.)
Rudraksh let out a deep sigh, shaking his head at his stubborn wife.
Rudraksh: "Achcha dedunga, chalo ab ready ho jao."
(Okay, Iâll give them to you. Now, get ready.)
Ruhanika grinned and nodded, happily brushing her teeth as she finished up. Once done, she stepped out of the washroom, leaving Rudraksh to freshen up. After he was done, she quickly got ready for her first class, eager to begin the day.
In office,
Rishwik was engrossed in his work, the soft hum of the office around him blending into the background as he typed away on his laptop. He was dressed in a crisp white shirt and black pants, his blazer casually draped over the chair behind him. His entire focus was on the task at hand, but that peace was abruptly shattered when the door to his cabin swung open with a force that made him snap his head up. Standing in the doorway was none other than Riyanshi, her presence as bold as ever. Her eyes locked with his, and Rishwikâs expression immediately darkened. He shot her a death glare, his anger visible in the tightness of his jaw and the intensity of his gaze. It was clear that her sudden appearance had not been expected, and her lack of any formal knock only fueled his irritation.
Rishwik: "Kya batameezi hai ye?? Boss ke cabin me, infact kisi ke bhi cabin me knock karke jaate hai itni si tameez hai hai tum ne??"
(What kind of misbehavior is this? In the boss's cabinâor anyone's cabin for that matterâyouâre supposed to knock before entering. Is this all the manners youâve learned?)
Riyanshi: "Mujhe sandal dilane wale the nahi dilaya, ye batameezi nahi hai??"
(You promised to buy me sandals but didnât. Isnât that misbehavior?)
Rishwik: "Nahi dilaunga, now go from here."
(I wonât buy them. Now leave from here.)
Riyanshi: "Ek toh galti karte ho uper se mante bhi nahi, khud aage ke kehna chahiye tha ki Riyanshi Chalo tumhe sandal dila deta hu par nahi akad dekho."
(Not buying sandals for me and then not even admitting your faultâthatâs wrong. You should have taken the initiative and said, âRiyanshi, letâs go, Iâll get you your sandals,â but no, youâre just showing off your arrogance.)
Rishwik stood up from his desk, his movements deliberate and measured. In just three long strides, he closed the distance between them, his tall frame towering over Riyanshiâs shorter figure. His presence seemed to fill the entire room, and as he crossed his arms over his chest, his intense glare bore down on her, challenging her to speak or move. Riyanshi felt a flicker of unease at the sight of his commanding posture and the fire in his eyes. But true to her nature, she didnât back down. She stood her ground, her attitude as bold as ever, though a slight tremor ran through her.
Riyanshi: "D..dekho, ye.. apne aise lambe figure se darao mat mujhe."
(D⦠donât try to scare me with your tall frame.)
Rishwik: "Kal toh Bach gayi, aaj utha ke fek hi dunga bakwaas ki toh."
(You got away yesterday, but today Iâll pick you up and toss you if you keep talking nonsense.)
Riyanshi stepped back slightly and, with a playful smile, stood on the center table to match his height. He stretched out his arms, placing his hands next to hers, and measured their heights. His eyes sparkled with amusement as he compared the difference, clearly enjoying the moment.
Riyanshi: "Haa ab thik hai, haa ab baat karo, fek doge mujhe haa?? Zara 2-3 kilo uthane layak body ban gayi toh zyada udoge tum."
(Oh, now thatâs fine! Youâll toss me, huh? Your body may have built enough strength to lift 2-3 kilos, and now youâre flying too high.)
Rishwik took a step closer, his presence commanding as he looked at her with a teasing glint in his eyes. She stood there, hands firmly placed on her waist, attempting to appear intimidating.
Rishwik: "Utaro niche"
(Get down now.)
Riyanshi: "Pehle sandal dilao"
(Buy me sandals first.)
Rishwik: "I said niche utaro, nahi toh fek dunga yahi se."
(I said, get down now, or Iâll throw you right here.)
Riyanshi: "Darti nahi hu tumse, I know kuch nahi kar sakte."
(Iâm not scared of you. I know you wonât do anything.)
Riyanshi grinned to herself, lost in her own playful thoughts, but her expression shifted to one of surprise when Rishwik suddenly scooped her up in his arms. Her eyes widened in shock, and she instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck for support.
Riyanshi: "Kya kar rahe ho nakchade aadmi??"
(What are you doing, you arrogant man?)
Rishwik: "Ghamandi intern ki akad thikane laa Raha hu."
(Teaching an overconfident intern some manners.)
Riyanshi: "Hain??.. "
Rishwik swiftly threw her onto the couch. She bounced off the soft cushions, her wide eyes in shock, barely processing what had just happened. Rishwik, however, remained standing beside her, his presence looming as he ensured she didnât fall. Riyanshi, lying back on the couch, stared at him in disbelief, her mouth slightly agape. Rishwik smirked, a glint of mischief in his eyes, as he leaned over her. He placed his veiny hand on the headrest, caging her in with his towering figure, his face mere inches from hers. His smirk deepened as he looked down at her, clearly enjoying the effect his actions had on her.
Rishwik: "The great hacker Rishwik Malhotra, naam hai mera panga lene se pehle soch liya karo."
(The great hacker Rishwik Malhotraâthatâs my name. Think twice before messing with me.)
Riyanshi glared at Rishwik, her eyes narrowing in defiance as she pushed against his chest with all her might. However, to her frustration, he didnât budge an inch. Instead, a smug smirk played on his lips
Rishwik: "Ho Gaya??"
(Are you done now?)
Riyanshi: "Sharam nahi aati ek abhla ladki ko pareshan karte ho??"
(Arenât you ashamed of troubling a helpless girl?)
Rishwik: "Melodrama ho gaya ho toh chalo tumhari sandal lene, mera sar dard khatam ho Varna rehna aise hi"
(If the melodrama is over, letâs go get your sandals. Otherwise, stay like this and endure the headache youâve given me.)
Riyanshi grinned. Rishwik straightened up with a smile and carefully helped her to her feet. Despite the teasing and playful banter, there was a tenderness in his touch, ensuring she was steady before letting go.
Riyanshi: "Chalo chalo jaldi chalo."
(Okay, okay, letâs go quickly.)
Riyanshi, with a burst of excitement, quickly dragged Rishwik outside, her energy contagious. Rishwik smiled lightly, but kept his expression neutral, not wanting to let her see how much her enthusiasm was affecting him. Despite his calm demeanor, he couldn't help but feel a warmth in his chest as they headed out together for her sandal shopping.
In the bustling mall, Rishwik's patience was starting to wear thin as he glared at Riyanshi, who was trying on yet another pair of sandals. This was the twelfth store they'd visited in the last two hours, and not once had she liked a single pair. Rishwik couldn't help but feel that this had all turned into a game of torment, with him as the unwilling participant. His arms were crossed, and his brow furrowed as he watched her happily try on shoes, knowing full well that she wasnât even planning to buy any and just wanted to trouble him.
Riyanshi: "Nahi mujhe ye bhi pasand n..."
(No, I donât like this one either.)
Rishwik: "Excuse me Miss. Riyanshi either this or nothing, sab natak samajh raha hu main tumhare agar nahi liya na yahi chod ke chala jaunga khud khareedna phir"
(Excuse me, Miss Riyanshi, either take this or nothing. I understand all your drama. If you donât pick one now, Iâll leave, and you can buy it yourself.)
Riyanshi: "Itne paise hai phir bhi kanjusi ka brand ambassador ban ke baitha hai, bhaiya aap hi batao aise hi kuch bhi Lena chahiye mujhe??"
(Even though you have money, you act like the brand ambassador of stinginess. Brother (salesperson), you tell me, should I settle for just anything?)
Riyanshi, asked the salesman for another pair of sandals to try on. The salesman, however, hesitated, his eyes darting nervously towards Rishwik. One glance from Rishwik was enough to send a shiver down his spine.
Salesperson: "Ma'am, please ye le lijiye aapke pairon me achcha lag raha hai"
(Maâam, please take this one. It looks good on you.)
Riyanshi: "Ab aap batayenge kya achcha hai aur kya nahi??"
(Oh, now youâll tell me whatâs good and whatâs not?)
The salesperson fell silent, unsure of how to respond.
Rishwik: "Enough of your nonsense. Letâs see who signs your paycheck this month."
Rishwik stood up, ready to leave, but paused mid-step as he overheard Riyanshi's words. The hint of a smirk tugged at Rishwik's lips. He turned back slightly, watching her with an amused glint in his eyes, knowing exactly what would happen next.
Riyanshi: "Ok bhaiya ye wala, ye wala aur ye aur ye wala bhi, ye sab pack kar do."
(Okay, brother, pack this one, this one, and this one as well. Pack all these.)
Rishwik walked briskly towards the payment counter, his strides confident and purposeful. Riyanshi, realizing what he was doing, quickly dashed after him, trying to match his pace. Her feet shuffled in a hurry as she tried to catch up with him, her frustration evident in the way she moved. She called out to him, slightly out of breath.
Riyanshi: "Vo toh mujhe pasand aa gayi isiliye ki hai maine, aur 4 li hai any problem??"
(I liked them, so I bought them. And I bought four. Any problem?)
Rishwik: "chaar lo ya chalis, I don't care, bas Mera picha chodo."
(Buy four or forty, I donât care. Just leave me alone.)
Riyanshi smiled, a mixture of surprise and appreciation crossing her face as she watched Rishwik. She hadnât expected him to actually buy the sandals. As Rishwik paid the bill, he didnât even glance at her, his expression still one of casual confidence. Once the transaction was complete, he picked up the shopping bags.
Riyanshi: "Mera samaan hai main le lungi."
(Itâs my stuff; Iâll carry it myself.)
Rishwik: "No, itâs fine. Iâll carry it for you."
Rishwik genuinely spoke to Riyanshi, gesturing for her to walk ahead, his voice calm yet commanding. She moved forward, unaware of the smile forming on her face. It wasnât just from the words, but from the subtle way he carried her bags, showing a side of him she hadnât seen before. She felt a sense of warmth, though she couldnât understand why.
Rishwik, on the other hand, kept his smile hidden, his face carefully composed. But suddenly, his demeanor shifted. His smile faded, and a deep frown overtook his features. He stopped walking, his eyes narrowing in anger as he stared at somethingâor someoneâin front of him. His gaze turned cold and intense, an unmistakable sign that something or someone had triggered his irritation. Riyanshi, still walking ahead, turned to follow his gaze and noticed what had caused the shift. She grinned mischievously before shouting something in response, eager to see how Rishwik would react.
Riyanshi: "Avyuuuu"
Avyukta and Amandeep walked through the mall, their steps light and casual. Amandeep caught sight of Riyanshi and flashed her a friendly smile, but his gaze quickly shifted to Rishwik, whose intense glare sent a chill down his spine. The tension was palpable, and Amandeep gulped, realizing that Rishwik wasnât leave him now. Both Avyukta and Amandeep approached Riyanshi and Rishwik, the air between them thick with unspoken words.
Riyanshi: "Jiju, aap aur Avyu yaha??"
(Brother-in-law, you and Avyu are here?)
Avyukta: "Haa vo actually mujhe bhook lagi thi isiliye hum yaha aa gaye aur thodi shopping bhi. "
(Yes, actually, I was hungry, so we came here, and weâre doing some shopping too.)
Riyanshi: "Ohhooo, date and haa Jiju??"
(Ohhh, a date, huh, brother-in-law?)
Rishwik heard Riyanshâs words and raised an eyebrow in confusion.
Rishwik: "Jiju???"
(Brother-in-law??)
Riyanshi: "Haa toh Aman jiju, mere jiju huye na jab se unhone Avyu ko propose kiya hai."
(Yes, Aman is my brother-in-law now since he proposed to Avyu.)
Rishwik gave Amandeep a sarcastic smile, his eyes narrowing slightly.
Rishwik: "Ohh ye thi aapki aaj ki important meeting. Deal bhi crack ho gayi hogi na??"
(Ohh, so this was your important meeting today? Mustâve cracked the deal too, right?)
Amandeep: "Yaar gussa na ho, dekh maine yuku ko propose kiya ye bataya tha na tujhe, infact tune hi help ki thi."
(Man, donât get mad. I told you I proposed to Yuku, remember? In fact, you even helped me.)
Rishwik: "Toh aaj jhuth bol ke kyu aaya?? Main mana karta kya?? Aur karta bhi toh tu kabse sunne laga meri??"
(Then why did you lie and come here? Would I have stopped you? And even if I did, since when have you started listening to me?)
Amandeep: "Chadhh na veere, please."
(Chill, bro, please.)
Rishwik: "Hatt yaar, main nahi kar raha tujhse baat, ja raha hu main."
(Get lost, man. Iâm not talking to you. Iâm leaving.)
Amandeep: "Rishi yaar Eh ki gal hui? Zaraa jiha gal te naraz ho janda hai!"
(Rishi, bro, whatâs wrong? Youâre mad over such a small thing?)
Rishwik: "Te eh zaraa jiha gal main veer nu vi dassanga, te Angel nu vi. Angel hi hun teri class laugi!"
(And Iâll tell this âsmall thingâ to Veer and Angel as well. Angel will be the one to scold you!)
Amandeep: "Nahi nahi, ohnu nahi dassna, oh tan naaraz ho jayegi! Yaar, tu vi taan janda hai!"
(No, no, donât tell her. Sheâll get mad! You know that!)
Rishwik: "Aaho khote da puttar, isse layi main chahunda haan ki Angel tere te naaraz ho jave!"
(Oh, the son of a donkey. Thatâs why I want Angel to get mad at you!)
Amandeep: "Rishiiii yaarrrr"
Riyanshi watched as Rishwik walked away, a small smirk on her lips, clearly amused by his departure. Amandeep, always eager to join in, quickly ran after him, calling out to him playfully.
Riyanshi: Ye angel kon hai??
(Who is this Angel?)
Riyanshi asked, her voice laced with tension, her brows furrowed in worry. Avyukta turned to her, a look of confusion spreading across her face as she tried to understand the reason behind Riyanshi's sudden concern.
Avyukta: "Tune bas yahi suna??"
(Thatâs all you heard?)
Riyanshi: "Bol na kon hai ye Angel, aur ye Rishwik unfortunately mera boss, uska naam kyu le Raha tha??"
(Tell me, who is this Angel? And why was my boss, unfortunately, taking her name?)
Avyukta: "Angel yaani ki Ruhi bhabhi, Rudraksh bhai ki wife."
(Angel is Ruhi bhabhi, Rudraksh bhaiâs wife.)
Riyanshi grinned widely, and let out a contented sigh, as if she had just gotten her hands on her favorite thing in the world.
Riyanshi: "Haaashhhh"
(Haaa, phew.)
Avyukta: "Ik minute, tu eh kyu puch rahi hai? Ki gall chal rahi hai tere dimag ch?"
(Wait a minute. Why are you asking? Whatâs going on in your mind?)
Riyanshi tried hard to suppress her smile, but it quickly spread across her face despite her best efforts. Unable to control it, she turned her back to Avyukta, hiding the grin that betrayed her excitement and amusement.
Riyanshi: "Main ki puch rahi haan? Kuch vi taan nahi puchya."
(What am I asking? Nothing at all.)
Avyukta shot Riyanshi a suspicious look, her doubts growing, but before she could question her further, Amandeep arrived.
Riyanshi: "Ohh Jiju, maan gaye aapke dost??"
(Ohh brother-in-law, your friend agreed?)
Amandeep: "Manega kaise nahi, pagal hai bas thoda khair aapko bula raha hai."
(How could he not agree? Heâs just a little crazy. Anyway, heâs calling you.)
Riyanshi: "Ji you guys enjoy I'll leave."
(Okay, you guys enjoy. Iâll leave now.)
Riyanshi waved them off with a cheerful "Bye!" and left the scene. Amandeep turned to Avyukta, only to find her glaring at him, her arms crossed and an unspoken accusation in her eyes.
Amandeep: "Ab tennu ki hoya Janiye??"
(Now, whatâs wrong, dear)
Avyukta: "Mujhe propose karne me Rishi Bhai ne help ki thi??"
(Did Rishi Bhai help you propose to me?)
Amandeep: "Haa kyu??"
(Yes, why?)
Avyukta: "Matlab aapne kuch nahi kiya, mujhe pagal banaya."
(So, you didnât do anything on your own? You made a fool out of me.)
Amandeep stared at her in shock, his eyes wide with disbelief.
Amandeep: "Devi maa, maine aapko jaise chahiye tha bilkul vaise hi vo stupid Mafia wali entry leke 15 cars aapke aage piche ghuma ke, ek hath me gun aur ek hath me roses leke aapke sath zabardasti karne ki acting karke aapko propose kiya, aur aap keh rahi hai maine kuch nahi kiya??"
(My goddess, I proposed to you exactly how you wanted: with that stupid mafia-style entry, 15 cars circling around you, holding a gun in one hand and roses in the other, pretending to force you. And now youâre saying I didnât do anything?)
Avyukta: "Pakka vo bhi Rishi Bhai ne hi arrange Kiya hoga."
(Iâm sure Rishi Bhai arranged all of that too.)
Avyukta, clearly upset, hit Amandeep with her purse before turning on her heel and storming out of the mall. Amandeep followed close behind, trying to pacify her with soft words and earnest pleas, but she refused to listen, her pace quickening toward their car. Just as she reached for the door, Amandeep gently grabbed her hand, stopping her in her tracks.
Amandeep: "Yukuuu"
Avyukta: "Car ka door kholo nahi toh main auto se jaungi."
(Open the car door, or Iâll leave in an auto.)
Amandeep swiftly retrieved the keys from his pocket and pressed the button to unlock the car. He moved ahead and opened the door for Avyukta with a quiet gesture, allowing her to slide into the passenger seat. She entered without a word, her arms crossed and her gaze fixed outside the window.
After closing her door gently, Amandeep rounded the car and got into the driverâs seat. Settling in, he paused for a moment, his hands resting on the steering wheel. He turned to look at Avyukta, his expression a mix of worry and tenderness.
Amandeep: "Yuku, janiye samjho toh main ..."
(Yuku, Janiye, try to understand...)
Avyukta: "Mujhe ghar chod dijiye, aur baat nahi karna mera dimaag garam hai."
(Just drop me home. And Iâm not talking to youâmy mind is boiling.)
Amandeep gulped nervously as Avyukta turned to him with an angry pout, her glare piercing through him. Without wasting a moment, he quickly got into the driverâs seat and started the car, his mind racing for a way to calm her down. As they drove, Avyukta sat with her arms crossed, her eyes fixed firmly out the window. However, she noticed the surroundings changing.
Avyukta: "Ye kaha?? Mera Ghar us side hai. "
(Where are we going? My home is that way!)
Amandeep: "Bahaut shaukh hai na Mafia se kidnap hone ka, ab vahi kar raha hu."
(You enjoy being kidnapped by a mafia, right? So, now Iâm doing exactly that.)
Avyukta: "Aap mere sath zabardasti nahi kar sakte."
(You canât force me to do anything!)
Amandeep: "Main aur bahaut kuch kar sakta hu Janiye."
(I can do a lot more, Janiye.)
Amandeep winked at Avyukta with a playful smirk, causing her eyes to widen in shock at his shamelessness. Ever since he had proposed to her and she had said yes, he had become excessively clingy. While his newfound affection made her heart flutter, she couldnât help but feel shy whenever he displayed it so openly, especially around others. Her cheeks flushed a deep pink, betraying her inner feelings even as she tried to look away to hide her blush.
The car glided to a smooth halt, and Avyukta's heart raced as the evening's mystery deepened. The faint light of the setting sun flickered through the trees, casting shadows on the darkened forest path. She looked around, her mind swirling with curiosity and anticipation. That giddy flutter in her stomach grew stronger, conjuring endless scenarios in her head.
Amandeep quickly stepped out of the car, his movements filled with purpose. He hurried to her side, opened the door with a warm smile, and extended his hand. Avyukta took it, and before she could voice the questions brimming on her lips, he gently pressed a finger against them. His soft "Shh" accompanied the shake of his head, silencing her but heightening her intrigue.
With her hand still in his, Amandeep led her forward. The path opened up, and Avyukta gasped as her surroundings came into view. The forest was illuminated with a breathtaking arrangement of fairy lights, their soft golden glow casting a magical ambiance. The trees shimmered like stars had descended, and the cool evening breeze carried the faint scent of blooming flowers.
They walked toward the heart of the setupâa large heart-shaped clearing adorned with petals and glowing lights. The ground seemed to sparkle, and the beauty of the moment left Avyukta speechless. Amandeep turned to face her, his expression tender and filled with love.
He cupped her face in his hands, his thumbs brushing her cheeks, and Avyukta instinctively wrapped her arms around his torso, pulling him closer.
Amandeep: "I know jaaniye tumhari fantasy hai ye Mafia, forced marriage and everything forced and all... But Yuku main ye zabardasti nahi kar sakta hu, mere liye tumhara consent mere jaan se bhi zyada important hai."
(I know your fantasy is this whole mafia, forced marriage, and everything dramatic... But, Yuku, I can't force you for real. Your consent is more important to me than my life.)
Avyukta smiled shyly, her cheeks tinged with a hint of pink as she realized what was coming next.
Amandeep: "Maine koshish ki hai ki vaisa hi ho jaisa tum chahti ho, hai na vaisa??"
(I tried to make it exactly how you wanted, didnât I?)
Avyukta smiled shyly, gave a small nod, and lowered her lashes, her face glowing with quiet anticipation.
Amandeep: "Now, may I?"
Avyukta's heartbeat quickened, but she gathered her composure and nodded in agreement.
Avyukta: "Yes, you may, Deep, and it should be deep."
Amandeep smiled at her, his heart racing with anticipation. This moment felt different, more special. It was their first time, and he had been thinking about it ever since Yuku had asked for it a few days ago. There was a mixture of nervousness and excitement, but he knew this was what she wanted, and he was ready to give it to her.
He gently pulled her closer, and in that moment, their lips met. The kiss was soft at first, a delicate exchange of affection, but it deepened as they both poured their love into it. The world around them seemed to disappear as they lost themselves in each other, savoring the connection they had longed for.
RM Mansion,
Kritika sat in the living room, her eyes focused on her laptop screen as she worked. However, her concentration broke when she noticed Aakarsh walking in. His face was filled with sadness, and there was a heaviness in his steps. Normally, Aakarsh would offer a smile or a greeting, but today, he didnât even acknowledge her presence. Without saying a word, he hurriedly made his way to his room.
Kritika furrowed her brows, her concern growing. She couldnât help but wonder what had happened to cause such a shift in his mood. Aakarsh had always been cheerful, and seeing him like this left her with a sense of unease. She hesitated for a moment, unsure whether to confront him or give him space, but her worry overrode her uncertainty.
Kritika: "Is Ziddi doctor ko kya hua?"
(What's up with this stubborn doctor?)
She casually shrugged her shoulders.
Kritika: "Mujhe kya?"
(Whatever. Not my problem.)
Kritika continued her work, but her mind kept drifting back to Aakarsh. She tried to focus on her tasks, but the image of his sad face kept replaying in her mind. After about ten minutes of trying to concentrate, she finally decided to check on him. She stood up, grabbed a hot cup of tea made by herself, and made her way to the kitchen.
A few minutes later, she found herself standing in front of Aakarsh's room, tea in hand. She knocked lightly on the door, but when there was no response, her worry deepened. Gently, she turned the doorknob and opened the door. Inside, Aakarsh was half-laying on the bed, his posture indicating he was lost in thought or just too exhausted to care. His head rested on the headrest, left arm sprawled across his forehead, and his right hand resting on his stomach.
Kritika quietly stepped inside and placed the tea on the small tea table next to the bed. She glanced at him, her heart heavy with concern. She wanted to say something, but she wasnât sure where to start. She just stood there for a moment, silently waiting for him to acknowledge her.
Kritika: "Ummm, vo chai layi thi tumhare liye."
(Umm, I brought tea for you.)
Aakarsh slowly opened his eyes and glanced at her, but something was different. Kritika could immediately tell. There was no sparkle in his eyes, no warmth or light that usually radiated when he saw her. His gaze was distant, almost hollow.
Aakarsh: "Thank you. It was much needed."
Aakarsh gave Kritika a faint smile before he took the cup of tea from her and sipped it slowly, the warmth of the drink calming him. Kritika sat beside him, her gaze softening as she watched him.
Kritika: "Kuch hua hai kya??"
(Did something happen?)
Aakarsh turned his face away, trying to hide the emotions that were visibly stirring inside him.
Aakarsh: "aahh vo.. chai achchi hai thank you."
(Ah, umm... The tea is good, thank you.)
Kritika: "hadd hai yaar Ziddi doctor, isme bhi zidd. Dekho Mera patience level bahaut kum hai, jo pucha hai vo bolo."
(Unbelievable, stubborn doctor! Even with this, you're being obstinate. Look, I have very little patience. Just tell me what's wrong.)
Aakarsh still kept his gaze lowered, his attention lost in the quiet of the moment. Kritika, unable to sit still any longer, stood up, her impatience evident in her movements.
Kritika: "Whatever, Mujhe kya"
(Whatever. Not my problem.)
As Kritika turned to leave, Aakarsh suddenly reached out and grasped her hand, causing her to stop in her tracks. She turned back to face him.
Aakarsh: "panch minute mere pass baithogi kya please meethiye."
(Can you sit with me for five minutes, please, Meethiye?)
Kritika noticed the vulnerability in Aakarsh's eyes, something she hadn't seen before. Her frustration softened as she slowly sat back down, her posture a little more relaxed. Aakarsh gave a faint smile, one that was genuine, though small. He kept his distance, respecting the space between them.
Aakarsh: "Aaj ek important surgery thi, survival rate sirf 2% tha."
(There was an important surgery today. The survival rate was only 2%.)
Kritika frowned at his words, completely puzzled and unable to make sense of what he meant.
Aakarsh: "Maine bahaut koshish ki Pari, use bachane ki par nahi bacha paya."
(I tried really hard, Pari, to save the patient, but I couldn't.)
A lone tear slipped from Aakarshâs eye, and Kritika's eyes widened in surprise. She had always known him as the cheerful, carefree person, someone full of life and laughter. Seeing him so vulnerable, so broken, was an entirely new experience for her. Her heart tightened, and for a moment, the teasing banter and playful interactions seemed like distant memories. She had never imagined he could be this way, and it left her uncertain, unsure of what to say or do.
Aakarsh: "I was 14 when my best friend died in an accident because he didn't get proper treatment on time. That's when I decided to become a doctor. And today, I failed, Meethiye. I failed."
Even Kritikaâs eyes moistened as she listened to Aakarshâs words. Her heart ached for him, feeling his pain in the silence between them. She stood up slowly, her legs unsteady, and walked towards him. As she neared, she noticed his hands trembling, a sight that made her own hands shake with uncertainty. She had never been one to show vulnerability so openly, but something within her urged her to be there for him.
With a deep breath and a surge of courage, she wrapped her arms around Aakarsh. At first, he stood frozen, shocked by the unexpected gesture, but then, as if the weight of everything became too much, he pulled her closer, hugging her tightly. Kritika could feel the tension in his body slowly melting as she gently rubbed his back, her touch soft and soothing. Surprisingly, his touch wasnât harshâit was almost comforting, as if she needed this more than she realized. For a moment, there was no need for words; their silence spoke volumes, and both found solace in each otherâs embrace.
Kritika: "ye sab tumhare hath me nahi tha, khud ko blame mat karo, as a doctor tumne koshish ki na"
(This wasn't in your hands. Don't blame yourself. As a doctor, you tried, didn't you?)
He nodded like a child, his expression innocent and eager, and she couldn't help but smile at the sight. They then slowly pulled back from each other.
Kritika: "Bas phir ek bura sapna samajh ke bhul jao, samjhe??"
(That's all that matters. Consider this a bad dream and forget it, okay?)
Aakarsh smiled softly, his heart warming at the gesture. He could sense that Kritika was trying her best to comfort him, even though it wasnât exactly her usual way of showing affection. He blinked his eyes slowly, a sweet, grateful smile spreading across his face. He knew how hard it must have been for her to step out of her comfort zone, and the effort didnât go unnoticed.
Kritika: "Umm voo kya..."
(Umm, actually..)
Aakarsh: "Bol do Meethiye"
(Say it, sweetheart)
Kritika: "Mujhe pasta khana tha, mere sath cafe chaloge?? Matlab zabardasti nahi hai, man ho toh hi Varna..."
(I wanted to eat pasta. Would you go to the café v you want to-no ? I mean, only if ure.)
Aakarsh grinned, a spark of appreciation in his eyes. He realized that she was stepping out of her comfort zone, just to lift his spirits, and that thought warmed his heart.
Aakarsh: "Taiyaar hoke aata hu."
(Let me get ready.)
Kritika frowned, her gaze scanning him from head to toe.
Kritika: "Achche khase kapde toh pehne hai, aur kya change karna hai??"
(You're already dressed nicely. What else are you going to change?)
Aakarsh stood up and then bent down to her height, maintaining a respectful distance between them.
Aakarsh: "Aapka employee nahi hu madam jo formals me chalu, aapka hero ban ke aane do, Tusi ethe hi mera intezaar karo, main hor gabru ban ke aunda haan meethiye."
(I'm not your employee, madam, to go out in formals. Let me come as your hero. Wait here-I'll return even more dashing, Meethiye.)
Aakarsh winked playfully at her before dashing towards the closet. Kritika couldn't help but give a faint smile, shaking her head in amusement.
Kritika: "sahi hi kehti hu main, ekdum pagal hai, dheeth kahika.. har baat dil pe le leta hai."
(I'm so right about him-he's completely crazy, stubborn as ever. Takes everything to heart.)
As both Kritika and Aakarsh returned after changing, they were pleasantly surprised to find that they were wearing matching outfits. Kritika had chosen a breezy, stylish look: wide-leg white pants paired with a top that had soft pastel blue and white stripes, complemented by white sneakers. Aakarsh, on the other hand, had opted for a more relaxed yet coordinated look, wearing white pants, a simple white t-shirt, and a pastel blue shirt layered over it, completing the outfit with white shoes. The harmony in their attire wasnât planned, but it felt serendipitous, and they both exchanged a knowing smile.
The unspoken connection between them felt more evident than ever as they set off to a nearby café for a casual pasta party. The café was cozy, with soft music in the background, and they settled into a comfortable booth, ready to indulge in their favorite dishes. It was a simple yet perfect moment, and both of them couldnât help but feel content in each other's presence, enjoying the little things life had to offer.
