Li Qingcang replied casually, “There is actually one thing that our Tianxin cannot do better than Ying Yimei.”

Jing Zhichen was puzzled. “What is it? I think Tianxin is outstanding in every way. In what way is Ying Yimei better than her.”

Whoever picked on Ye Tianxin had to be crazy.

“Right, Tianxin’s skin is not as thick as Ying Yimei.”

Jing Zhichen burst out laughing in realization. “That’s true. She is shameless to the core.”

“Don’t you think we should enjoy the show since we’re here anyway? Remember to play along later on. I’d better send Tianxin a text message in case she gets worried that I still haven’t returned to the banquet.”

Jing Zhichen nodded.

Li Qingcang took out his phone and started texting.

Jing Zhichen wondered how Li Qingcang discovered the plot.

“Qingcang, how did you find out about their plot?”

“Grandma is getting too old and complacent. She thought that the nurse would keep the secret for her just because she gave her a small tip. Anyone with a stable mind would know what should and shouldn’t be done. It’s a good thing that this nurse was smart enough to tell me about it. At first, I was thinking that she’s my own grandmother. I thought she couldn’t hurt me. In reality, some people were willing to hurt their loved ones.”

Jing Zhichen could only pat Li Qingcang’s shoulder sympathetically. He felt hearted to know that, unlike Li Qingcang, her grandmother was a loving woman.

After sending out the message, Li QIngcang went out to the balcony. The cool hair was blowing hard and his wet hair looked like a mess.

The noises from the other room were wince-inducing. It went on for half an hour.

Ye Tiannxin got a little worried when Li Qingcang had not returned to the banquet hall.

Just as she was about to get up to look for him, her phone rang.

She looked at it and saw the message.

After reading Li QIngcang’s message, Ye Tianxin smiled coldly.

She leaned toward Ye Linlang and showed her the message.

Ye Linlang was in disbelief after reading the message. She could hardly breathe.

Ye Tianxin stretched out to hold Ye Linlang’s hand to calm her down. She wrote a message with the other hand. “Mom, it’s our turn.”

Ye Tianxin could not let the show go to waste since Grandma Li had gone to great lengths to produce it. She wanted to make sure it was a stellar performance.

Ye Linlang let out a long sigh and composed herself. She turned to Wu Tong. “Wu Tong, Qingcang is not back yet. Why is he taking so long? Could something have happened?”

Wu Tong looked clueless. “Oh yes, what’s taking so long? I’ll go around and look for him.”

Grandma Li did not know if her plan was carried out successfully and did not want anyone to go up before Ying Yimei and Li Qingcang had finished their business.

“What are you looking for? Qingcang said he had too much to drink and wanted to rest when I was coming down. He must be exhausted. Why can’t you let him rest a little longer?”

Wu Tong looked suspiciously at Grandma Li. She then noticed that Ying Yimei was not at the table.
