Li Qingcang brought Ye Tianxin back to her hotel room to pick some of her things. Ye Tianxin took the deed of transfer out of her luggage and said, “Elder Brother Li, look. My godmother gave me this place.”

Li Qingcang checked the deed. He appreciated that Du Juan treated Ye Tianxin like a real daughter.

“Then take it. It’s not worth a lot anyway.”

“That’s not true. This means a lot to me. I think that it’s too much, and I don’t feel at ease accepting it. But Mom said that we don’t have to put so much space between us, so I could only take it. Elder Brother Li, do you think I can be considered as...as a woman now?”

Li Qingcang stretched out a finger and stroked Ye Tianxin’s nose when he saw how adorable she looked. “You were already a rich woman even before this.”

Ye Tianxin smiled, then continued to pack her things. She gave Guan Chenxi time off.

She and Li Qingcang got on a plane and were seated in the first-class section.

After an hour on the plane, the two arrived at Capital International Airport.

The weather in the capital was great. Blue skies and white clouds were above them, and there were not that many pollutants in the air. The two got into a sedan parked outside the arrival hall of the airport after exiting it.

Xie Xinghe drove the car, while Li Xingchen sat in the passenger seat. She smiled and greeted Ye Tianxin.

“Tianxin, why do I feel like you’ve grown taller just after a few days of not seeing you?”n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Ye Tianxin, surprised and delighted, replied, “Really? I didn’t notice.”

“It’s true. You grew taller.”

Li Xingchen waited for Ye Tianxin and Li Qingcang to get in before she introduced Ye Tianxin to the man beside her. “Tianxin, the driver is my husband, your brother-in-law.”

Ye Tianxin greeted the man, “Hi, Brother-in-law!”

Xie Xinghe made a sound of acknowledgment.

“Tianxin, don’t mind him. He’s just like that. He’s usually like a block of ice. He doesn’t speak much with anyone.”

Li Xingchen looked at her younger brother through the rearview mirror. Li Qingcang had an extremely high IQ, but his EQ was worrying.

“Sis, take Tianxin to get her hair and makeup done later.”

Li Xingchen turned around and teased Li Qingcang, “How dare you boss me around in front of your brother-in-law! Are you not afraid that your brother-in-law will teach you a lesson?”

“Forget it. I will take Tianxin there myself. Just tell me where the salon is,” Li Qingcang said.

Then, Li Xingchen retorted, “What a nasty temper you have.”

Li Qingcang sighed. That was why people said that women were troublesome creatures. He did not know how his brother-in-law could stand his elder sister’s temper.

“Xinghe, will Uncle go later?”

Since they were waiting for the traffic light to turn green, Xie Xinghe replied, “Uncle doesn’t have the time to visit lately. They’re undergoing military practice right now.”

“That’s a pity,” Li Xingchen said before falling silent.

Xie Xinghe pulled over at the entrance of the salon where Li Xinghe usually got her hair and makeup done. Li Xingchen reminded Li Qingcang who was already alighting, “They might not know who you are. Remember to mention my name.”

“Did you make a reservation?” Li Qingcang asked.

“Do I need to make a reservation? Just tell them my name, and they will treat you like a god.”

“Ha!” Li Qingcang snorted coldly.

Li Xingchen made a move to get out of the car, but Xie Xinghe stopped her and asked, “What are you doing?”

“I’m going to teach that rascal a lesson. How dare he mock me!”

Xie Xinghe kissed Li Xingchen’s cheeks and said, “Be good. Don’t be angry anymore.”

Li Xingchen calmed down immediately and replied with a smile, “I’ve been wanting to remind that rascal out of the goodness of my heart.”
