Chapter 788 - Xie Xuning Was Shy About It, and He Felt Very Embarrassed

There was no way Ye Tianxin would back down from such a critical situation.

Xie Xuning could not possibly refuse to seek medical attention just because Xie Yi was a female doctor.

“Please go outside first.”

Xie Xuning was shy and embarrassed about it.

Ye Tianxin and Xie Yi went out of the room. It was very chilly outside.

The wind howled, and snowflakes hit them hard on the face, leaving their faces cold and numb.

“Dr. Xie, should we go and take a look at the injured mountaineer? I heard that his leg’s broken!”

Xie Yi thought for a moment before saying in a low voice, “I think I’ll treat your father first,”

As the two talked, Xie Xuning’s voice came out from the room. “I’m done.”

Xie Xuning’s thigh was frozen with several icicles on it. His wound, which had recovered previously, opened up again.

The bloody wound looked alarming.

Xie Yi started treating the wound with a cotton swab as she asked, “How is this wound so deep?”

“He was careless.”

Ye Tianxin could not possibly tell Xie Yi that her father actually stabbed himself in the thigh.

Fortunately, Xie Yi stopped asking upon hearing Tianxin’s response. Before long, she finished treating the wound thanks to her excellent medical skills.

Xie Xuning said somewhat shyly, “Thank you.”

“Get some rest, Dad. I’ll go and check on the injured mountaineer with Dr. Xie.”

Xie Xuning nodded.

He felt feverish after lying down. He only hoped that it would not develop into a high fever that night.

Ye Tianxin and Xie Yi went out of the room. “Tianxin, your dad might have a high fever tonight. Come to me if you need me.”

“Okay, understood.”

Xie Yi and Ye Tianxin went to the room where the mountaineering team was in.

The members of the mountaineering team were having vegetarian noodles.

Everyone stopped eating unanimously when Xie Yi and Ye Tianxin came into the room.

“I’m here to take a look at his leg.”

The injured mountaineer with a broken leg was lying aside, looking half-dead.

Xie Yi walked towards him with a cold expression on her face. Before long, she took care of his leg and placed a splint on it.

“Don’t move. If you do, don’t blame me if you can’t walk for the rest of your life.”

Ye Tianxin was amazed by how quickly Xie Yi worked.

Xie Yi exchanged a glance with Ye Tianxin before they went out of the room together. “That was fast, Dr. Xie.”

“His leg’s not broken. It’s only slightly twisted. I guess it’s because he was too frightened to move and ended up thinking that he broke his leg.”

Xie Yi saw that Ye Tianxin was holding Xie Xuning’s pants in her arms. She asked, “You’re going to wash it now? It’s so cold out there.”

“The water in the well’s not too cold. I have to wash it now. Otherwise, my dad’s got nothing to wear tomorrow.”

“Oh, okay. Off you go then. Be careful of the cold.”

“Okay.”

Ye Tianxin and Xie Yi went separate ways. She washed the pants and brought a bowl of noodles into the room from the kitchen. The room was warm as the charcoal fire and brick bed was burning.

Xie Xuning was feeling drowsy. Ye Tianxin wrung out the water in the pants and hung them above the charcoal brazier to let it dry by heat of the charcoal fire.

Xie Xuning nodded. He supported his upper body and sat up.

“Let me feed you.”

Xie Xuning laughed and replied, “Tianxin, your dad’s not that weak.”

He took over the bowl and started eating the noodles.

The noodles tasted delicious. Xie Xuning was so hungry that he finished the bowl of noodles in the blink of an eye.
