Chapter 125
Alpha Enzo
Enzo:
âDonât worry, Yasmin is safe with us, Enzo. You really donât need to make everything a big deal simply because they arenât going according to your plan.â Jacob said, crossing his arms over his chest.
âYOU FUCKING PRICKâ¦â
âYou, I would understand your anger. You are the girlâs father, I assume, Matias.â Jacob said, and Matias let out a low warning growl.
âWhere is my fucking daughter, rogue? Or so help me God, I will rip your limbs bit by bit until you can no longer walk. And trust me when I say, you donât want to see or deal with the rage that a father would go through for his child.â Matias warned.
âConsidering the fact that your Alpha had my son for five long years, I can assume that you would know that I know, very well, what it is to be angry for the loss of your child. Though I will admit, he was good to him, I am being just as kind to your girl, if not even kinder.â He said, nodding at the stairs where Yasmin stood.
Her eyes were red, and it didnât take me long to understand that the man had her under compulsion, a trait that the Petrov family had. Rogue or not, the man could still use the benefits that came with him being who he was, and this was a disadvantage that we did not need to be dealing with.
âYou see, you tend to play games that you donât know the length of, and I did warn you, I was not going to be an enemy that you wanted to have, Ezio. You are now fighting the war that you started with your stubbornness.â He said, and I raised an eyebrow at the man.
âYes, if me not wanting to betray the other wolves as I refuse to acknowledge your existence is me being stubborn, then so be it, I am more than willing to be who I am, and stand with what I believe in.
The issue would be on the man who thinks that what he is doing is correct when he knows that he is nothing but a walking bullshit.â I said, and the man frowned. âAnd if you think that using kids is going to solve anything, then you are very wrong.â
âIs that so?â He asked, looking up at Yasmin. Leonardoâs eyes were fixed on her for a moment and it wasnât long before Jacob spoke, his voice coming out colder than it ever has, and I knew at that moment that this was something that he had planned. He wanted to break her father using her.
âYasmin, I want you to hang from that railing, holding on with both your hands only.â
Yasmin, as if a robot on automobile, did as told. She held onto the railing and kept her eyes forward.
Her heartbeat was calm, and I could tell that Matias was doing everything that he could as not to run and snap the manâs neck. I, however, knew that this was something that we had to solve, and it was going to have to happen now.
âYou see, the power of compulsion might be a lot more useful when it comes to such situations. It is a shame that men like yourself fail to see the capabilities that they can have when it comes to such situations. But then again, you never were as smart.â He said, looking at Matias, knowing that he got the reaction that hew wanted from him. âI think that considering your actions now that you know that your daughterâs life is in danger?â
you should start âMy daughter is no victim of your compulsion and I will not allow you to think of harming her.â Matias said, and I took a step forward. My men were already swarming the house, and the man didnât seem to notice it. The one redemption that he could have right now is letting her go for us to try and make a deal, at least, for now.
âYasmin, let your left hand go.â He said, and I took a deep breath. Matias went to take a step forward and I looked behind the man, he wasnât even looking at her, and his ego had him not noticing that Leonardo was being stealth. It was his trait as a wolf, and that was something that I knew to be thankful for. I put my hand in front of Matias, stopping the beta, and he frowned.
âYou can ask her to let both her hands go, and trust me, we are not going to be submitting to your games.â I said, and the rogue frowned. I pulled my gun out of my holster, and the manâs eyes widened in surprise before I loaded it. âI am curious though, if I shoot you now, would, the compulsion die out?
Or are you going to manage to somehow, survive as your brother.
has.â
âDo you really believe that Damon âsomehowâ managed to survive without anyone saving him?â He asked, and I scoffed. âAn insider, maybe, a traitor?â
âThe worst part about such wars is the traitors that come out of their holes. As the rats that they are, they tend to be good at hiding, but once they think that they are free of their poison, they tend to spread around. One thing that they forgot that a wolf always kills the rat when caught.â I said, and Jacob smirked.
âWell, it seems to me that you might have to start killing your exâs family. You know, the woman who mothers your child.â He said, making me frown. âUnless, of course, you wish to doubt my words.â
âWhatâs that supposed to mean?â
âYou will eventually find out. For now, I am very curious about your betaâs reaction when she just lets go.â He said, turning around to face her. I pressed the trigger, shooting the manâs back, and Matias let out a low growl before Yasminâs hand slipped before the man could even say a word.
And the last word that I heard was the manâs cry of both fear and pain.
âYASMIN!â
