Dominic's POV.
Time was ticking. Every second I waited here, is every second I wasted on finding ways to destroy this girl...my wife. The moment I see her, I know the perfect plan will pop right into my head. No doubt she will be some lonely desperate poor brute with money on her mind. There is no way I will allow someone of her stature as my wife.
If I have to play along I will, but I will find a way out of this arrangement without me losing my title and my money.
We left by nightfall as promised and headed to Milan to go fetch my bride. It was a long excruciating journey by jet but we made it. I was ready to fetch the girl, destroy her life and head back to my mansion filled with beautiful curvaceous women.
In her file, it said that her appointed guard was Samuel. A trusted guard that has been working for my family over 20 years. My father granted him a riskfree position closer to home due to his new baby. I needed to get into contact with Samuel so he can prepare the brute for when I arrive.
"Samuel it is Dominic Vicenzo. I don't think you are up to speed on the current events so let me fill you in. I've been appointed the leader of the brigade, this is now mine not my father's so you will report to me. Secondly, I want Alessandra packed and ready within the hour. I am coming to get her and bring her back to Genoa."
"What...sir....no you can't do this! This isn't how it was supposed to go!" Samuel barked.
"Listen here, guard. I am not my father, I will not tolerate your tone so fix it! I said I am coming and I am. I don't care if it was 8 months from now or today. I feel like retrieving her so I am".
"Sir you're making a big mistake. That pact is..."
"That pact was made 100+ years ago and has absolutely no moral in my decision! They're lucky I am even acknowledging something so imbecile as arrange marriage! AN HOUR SAMUEL OR I WON'T BE HAPPY."
I turned off the phone and hopped off the plane. I needed to run to my hotel before going to meet my brute wife of mine.
I checked into a secluded hotel about a half hour from the castle. The plane won't be able to fly back until tomorrow so once I retrieve the brute, we will stay here before we head back home.
Once my men were checked in and strapped up, we headed straight to the mysterious tower that held the secret of a lifetime.
It was a bitch to find this tower but sure enough, behind the forest where it stood. In an open field surrounded by tall trees and seclusion. The tower stood strong and tall, it amazed me how it was managed to stay hidden from any wandering eyes. I can see why Alessandra was placed here.
I waited for the rest of my guys to pull up before briefing them on the plan.
"Listen, we are here for the retrieval of my wife. There should be no fighting nor bloodshed. Half of you will stay out here to make sure the perimeter is safe for our leave. The rest will come in and help her move her stuff into the car if needed. Like I said, no problems no blood...it should be an easy transaction."
I put on my famous pearly smile before walking to the door and knocking. I am quite surprised that Samuel wasn't here to greet me already. He knew I was coming.
Knock
Pause
Knock
Pause.
After a few minutes, I got the impression that I was being ignored. I turned to look through the window on the side of the tower. I saw a dining table with plates and food still on it. They were definitely here.
SO WHY THE FUCK AREN'T THEY ANSWERING THE DOOR!
"Jimmy, knock that door down!" I ordered. My main guard stepped up with his 6'9 stature and slammed his body into the door. He was a force to be reckoned with.
I couldn't believe these people were hiding from me.
Jimmy got the door open with 3 slams. He and my men followed me inside and searched the house. I stayed in the main lobby searching through the living room and kitchen for any signs. I noticed no pictures were on the wall, no little touches of a family were in this home. Although my mansion is quite modern, Mama always manages to put her taste into decorating. She said it made a house a home.
This is definitely not a home for these people.
I started to get frustrated when I didn't see or hear anyone.
"WHERE THE FUCK IS EVERYONE? DOES NO ONE LIVE HERE?" I roared.
Do they not know who the fuck I am? I am a GOD! I am their meal ticket out of this godforsaken tower. I should have seen a red carpet and 5-star treatment by the time I pulled up.
"Sir, I found the staircase leading to an upstairs unit," Jimmy announced after doing a search of downstairs.
"Good, let's go find these rats," I muttered.
I followed my men up the long ass stairs. It was hidden deep in the hallway of the house. I wouldn't have found it if I wasn't properly looking. The rest of the bedrooms were downstairs on the main floor. I guess this where they are hiding the precious jewel that is my...wife.
"Jimmy knock down the door. I don't have time to wait for the rats to come out."
Jimmy nodded and pushed down the door with a solid hit. My men ran in, guns and guard up straight into the room. I walked in to see a quaint surprise.
There sat the infamous Mortelli family. An older woman and husband sat on the bed while a younger boy leaned against a wall. The room was barely lit, I barely see a damn thing. How can anyone live like this?
"So you couldn't hear my men knocking the door?" No one was paying attention to me. They all had their head down.
"We heard. We don't care." Mr. Mortelli snapped. He was a decent size for his age. A few wrinkles on the forehead but still has a head full of brown hair and somewhat of a muscular built.
"Brave for a man who can have his whole family taken away in a blink. Where is Alessandra? It is time for us to go." I applaud him for his bravery but after the day I had I was not in the mood for bravery.
"I am not leaving with you. Pact says I have 8 more months. You'll be breaking code. You'll be found in violation." A soft voice called out. I searched the room until my eyes laid on a small figure hiding in the shadows by the window. I didn't even notice her.
Her back was turned to me but I could see her long wavy dark brown hair and her petite curvy figure. She wasn't tall, roughly around 5'6 but she stood with confidence. Hmm... I wonder if her front is as intriguing as her back.
"She speaks... Well bambina, I thought I will cut the anticipation and excitement early and just get on with the rest of our lives." Her sass is cute. I couldn't wait to break that spirit inside her.
"Like I said I am not leaving with you. There hasn't been any anticipation meeting you and that won't change anytime soon. So if you would please leave with your henchmen that would be greatly appreciated."
Her attitude definitely comes from her father. It was starting to irritate me. Why hasn't this girl jumped into my arms and proclaim her love for me? I was expecting her to already be butt ass naked ready to give herself to me. This must be some sick joke because this girl can't even tolerate me.
"Why don't you turn around and say that to my face?"
"I don't like to repeat myself, Mr. Vincenzo".
SHE DOESN'T LIKE TO REPEAT HERSELF? That is it!
"EVERYONE LEAVE NOW!" I demanded. My henchmen left immediately while her family being as defiant as ever stayed still. They all must have a death wish.
"Did you not hear my call?" They must be deaf...that is the only reason why they're still sitting there. I won't tolerate disrespect and I do not have the energy to kill anyone today.
"We are not your slaves. We go when our daughter says to go." Mrs. Mortelli snapped. Looks like this attitude is a family trait.
"Mama it is okay, I will speak to him and they will go. You can leave" Instantly her family got up, kissed her softly and left the room. I glared at each one as they passed me.
Alone at last. What a perfect time to set this girl straight.
"You have some nerve talking to your husband like that."
"You will never be my husband, let's get that clear and I will talk to anyone and everyone in any way I please. My mouth, my mind."
"Like I said, Turn around and say that to my face. Princess." Her attitude seemed to stay even without her audience. I needed to show her who's boss.
She smirked under her breath as she turned around and stepped into the ounce of light shining into the room.
What in the hell...
